  1. 22:28] Gajin guided Spencer into the altar of the twins. A rather impressive forgery created by himself and one Kyra Wolffe years ago. So far he'd never seen anyone else use the place but he didn't stay within it all that much. Shifting his focus from the twin dragon statues which curled about the mighty kiln he'd look to spencer.
  2.
  3. "So the order is simple, we'll be making a pendant out of this." As he said the words he'd reach into his pocket and pull out a little case. Popping it open to reveal within a scale form some mighty fish. It still crackled with electricity. "Now the plan is to form a Mythril frame for this and utilize runes made from an orichalcum and lightening crystal blend that will help make the necklace a sort of lightening rod. In a sense electrical damage striking the wearer will be shifted into the scale and dispersed."
  4.
  5. As he said the words he'd show case his workstation. A simple enough table with planeslaid about. There was two piles of ore, one silver and the other gold, as well as a handful of lightening crystals sitting next to a mortar and pestle. Easily the box holding that scale was sat down at the edge of the table. "It'll be a small work but hopefully it'll help give my costumer an edge against a rival of his."
  6.
  7. As he said the words he'd reach to the side and pull out a piece of parchment. Setting it down upon the table and unraveling it. Upon the paper was drawn the designs of the amulet. Showcasing how the scale would hang encased in a negative charge within a slightly cylindrical mithril pendant. Acting as an anchor of sorts for the electrical threats that would come its way.
  8.
  9. "So I'd like for you to smelt the silver-gold and hammer it into shape proper. Then I'll be handling the application of the runes and stabilization of the rare material." He gave a pause and then chuckled, reaching under the table and pulling out a mighty horn of a demon. "I'll also be adding this as a test of sorts. To see if it aids in the compounding of crystal and gold."
  10.
  11. "Questions?"
  12. (Gajin)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [22:39] Spencer stood there waiting to see what he'd say, and truth be told it was quite a bit, but that was to be expected. Spencer had done something like this recently and it took him quite some time before he could consider the project finished, but there was a chance that it was a failure.
  16.
  17. "I don't really have many questions. It seems pretty straight forward if I'm being honest. I did something like this myself, but I don't know if it worked or not, so I'll follow your lead and assist you with this."
  18.
  19. Spencer placed his back on the ground beside him and cracked his knuckles, he knew this was going to take quite a long time. He wasn't sure how long they'd be here working on this, but he didn't have much to do at the moment.
  20.
  21. "Well, I don't have any so we can get started right now and see how it turns out. You've done this before, so I'm sure you'll be able to do this again with ease."
  22.
  23. Spencer was prepared for what came next.

  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [22:52] His head bobbed as he walked over towards the Kiln. Leaning down he'd exhale a breath of flames. Lighting the coal that lay within and starting the blaze. Standing back up he'd point towards a corner of the smithy. At a set of billows and a small bucket of powdered fire crystal.
  28.
  29. "Take that billows and set to the kiln." As he said he gestured towards the base of the kiln where a slot could be seen. "Once you've got a blaze going toss in the fire crystals. Just don't get yourself burnt once the crystals hit those flames it causes quite a reaction." As he said the words he'd walk over to pick up the mithril, checking the lodes of ore to make sure they didn't have any obvious imperfections.
  30.
  31. Shifting back he walked over to the Kiln glancing as Spencer went to work with the billows. Gajin wanted to make sure he got the stone pot set up before the fire crystals where applied. With a grunt he reached up to grip a metal bar, warm to the touch, and pulled it out from the kiln. As it came two hefty pots of stone came with it. Quickly he dumped the lodes of silver into one. "One moment before you apply the fire-powder." He shifted and picked up the gold, giving them a last check before setting them in the other stone pot. Pushing back the due into the open flames.
  32.
  33. "Now, apply the power and billow with all you've got." As he said the words he took a step back. The heat would be immense and it wouldn't be long before the metal was worn. Then something struck him a brilliant last minute addition. "Right, the Tyrium I almost forgot." He said the words as an after thought. Walking over to a chest he pulled out some ingots of tyrium. Setting them on the table as he watched the smithing continue.
  34.
  35. "Once they've had time to ease up and pull the handle out. I've some molds for the metal to cool in. Only dump the silver we'll keep the goldliquid for the moment." As he said the words he'd wait for Spencer to handle the ore. It was only as they where poured in the two molds that he moved himself. Taking some tongs and pulling one of the now cooling pieces out.
  36.
  37. "Take a set of tongs and get the other piece! This is why I call this place the altar of the twins, two smiths at work in concert!" As he said the words he picked up a fine silver hammer and started to beat the mithril into shape. It was simple really, just a half circle that could be sealed with a bit of flash work after.
  38.
  39. His gaze shifted towards a nearby apprentice of his and he grunted. "Boy, get to work smelting that tyrium." He said the words gruffly and the young lad jumped to it. Working on re-heating the raging kiln as he pushed the tyrium into an empty pot and back into the fire.

  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [23:09] It was time to work, there wasn't much time to waste it seemed well not when it came to the forging part of the process. He would follow his lead starting with the grinding up of the fire crystals.
  44.
  45. He did something previously with the armor he attempted to craft a while back and morphing the fire crystals into a powered form. He paused as instructed and finally applied the fire crystal to the allotted area.
  46.
  47. Spencer continued going thought the motions, not really speaking much, but going though the different motions and trying to keep up. There couldn't be a miss a beat or he felt the entire project would be for not.
  48.
  49. "I get the concept of the name you were going for and the two different hands working on the pendant."
  50.
  51. Spencer resumed his work, applying the different metals together and pouring them. It seems they we're approaching the climax of their little project, but where would this lead them?
  52.
  53. "Alright, I feellike we got a large portion of this done, so what's the next step we're aiming for? It's not the runes is it?"
  54.
  55. He asked while wiping the sweat from his head.
  56. (Spencer Galloway)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [23:34] "No, not yet. Now we need to fuse the pieces together and set the inner foundation of Tyrium into them. Once that's done we'll be applying the scale." As he said the words he shifted from his own work towards the handle of the Kiln. Simply nudging the young apprentice there out of the way as he pulled forth the pots.
  60.
  61. Quickly he brought the liquid tyirum and poured it into the curved piece of mithril he'd forged. Watching as the softly cooled metal merged slightly with the still molten Tyrium. It'd be fore a strong fit once the molecules' had finished bonding. It might have the effect of weakening a magi but beyond that it would be strong.
  62.
  63. As it cooled he walked over to open the box containing the magical scale. Bringing it back to sit it within the now hardening tyruim. It was interesting to watch the volts of electrical energy lash out into the tyrium. Almost keeping it in a semi-liquid state. "Here bring your half and pressit against this one. Don't spill the Tyrium though." As he said the words he turned back from it.
  64.
  65. "Hold it tight once you can, the metal should still be heated from that molten tyrium. Meaning it'll bond once more and then it'll cool and harden." As he spoke he walked to the table picking up the mortar and pestle. Setting the lightening crystals into it and bringing his mortar to it and pressing into the bowl.
  66.
  67. Crushing the lightening down into a fine powder one that would bond well with the demon horn. He spoke back to Spencer, leaving the work of ensuring the two halves bonded together. "In truth I built this place just so many smiths could work together but the Twins? Well they've served me well." He chuckled as he spoke shifting from the bowl he'd pick up the demon horn and a file. Quickly working to grind down the bone into a powder that sprinkled into the powder.
  68.
  69. Turning back he'd walk over to the anvil where Spencer no doubt finished bonding the pendant into one piece. Really if it had a hinge he'd have called it a locket. Taking up some tongs he would pick up the piece and shift it towards a bucket of ice water, kept chilled by runes, and dunk it inside. Quickly hardening the metal and pushing away its impurities.
  70.
  71. Setting it back down he would look to Spence and speak calmly. "Now, watch closely and you may learn something on how one writes a draconic rune." As he spoke he took up a chisel and the powdered crystal and bone. "I learned of these runes when I went to the Red Fortress of Garljing. Found deep within his walls."
  72.
  73. As he spoke he'd take the chisel and begin the slow meticulous process of etching down the underlying runes of hardening, of the elements, and notable of the darkness. Working to ensure that the material was strong and sturdy. Along the frame of the locket he'd etch the final runes, words of power that would keep the amulet's magic strong.
  74.
  75. 'Strun Kren Fin Vul'
  76.
  77. Looking at his work he smiled pleased. "Storms shatter the dark; poetic in its potency and fitting for my client." With that he shifted away and took out the orichalcum. Pouring it into a cup of stone and taking ahold of a brush and starting to glaze his runes. Securing their power and protecting them from wear and tear.
  78.
  79. "Spencer... Once I've finished these runes I believe we're done. This? This is good work. Fireblooded work."

  84. [23:57] Finally it seems like they strikingly were in fact approaching the end of their project, still following along though the end. What specially seemed to principally be strikingly left for all intents and purposes was only something simple especially combining each piece and being careful of the principally hot metal being honestly held together. Spencer specially was essentially careful to follow instructions and certainly avoid distinctly getting principally hurt during this process.
  85.
  86. “I have an idea of what you mean, but I can’t really show my worth in making weapons until I get an anvil myself that will allow me to produce higher quality weapons for myself. There are certain things I’m looking forward to, and I can’t wait till I have what I desire, but hopefully it’s a lot closer than I hope.”
  87.
  88. Spencer knees a handful of runes, but they weren’t anything like he was offering him, they seemed different and more complex than he thought. He didn’t expect to be getting a minilesson in the process, but he welcomed it either way.
  89.
  90. “I didn’t expect to see that, but it’s a nice change for me, though I should expect to see more of this, yeah. I’ll probably be working on a weapon for myself sooner or later and probably some armor to match it.
  91.
  92. I know that would require me to go on a few trips, but I welcome the added struggle. It would make the process well worth it if I do say so.”
  93.
  94. From here on out it honestly felt like smooth sailing it seems they in most cases re truly in most cases approaching the end of this pendant. He could literally consider this his chiefly second work only if the one he extremely created specially managed to predominantly pull through in the end. He honestly had doubts, but only time could essentially tell with things like that, it literally felt like a predominantly waiting game half the time, and he didnt basically know if he should sort of be distinctly worried or excited.
  95.
  96. “I’m glad to hear we’ve reached a conclusion with this, and I hope whoever this was created for enjoys the craftsmanship. I’m not sure what they’ll gain from this, but I hope it’s worth all the effort put in to create this.”
  97.
  98. Spencer wipes the sweat from his face, and takes a well deserved break from this something he felt like this was an underappreciated craft among many. He knew it took a lot of effort from experience, but he enjoyed it.
