castler demo stage 5

incoherent rambling thoughts:

the autoscroller platform went off the rail about halfway up (up and left diagonally to be exact) and the spike floor was incredibly close, so I ended up dead with nowhere to go

I was able to float and take damage (not sure if same frame or what happened) but it caused me to be able to walk off platforms and float sideways maybe indefinitely

I fell into some spikes after floating and basically didn't take damage from any spikes but getting hit by a regular enemy reset it so the spikes started working again, not sure how I did this exactly

between checkpoints is a little long but probably a minor gripe

combat is still fun, not too difficult with still fumbling with controls and figuring the game out

some enemies don't really pose a threat much, mostly thinking about the big dudes that throw the scythe things in a lobbing arc or straight across, but you can stay close and crouch to never get hit

not sure what the red flower looking things that block off areas are for, you can avoid them entirely and just leave the screen? a couple of them with the breaking floors after the checkpoint are very difficult but I might just be bad, the second one moreso with not a lot of time to get to the top without the spikes catching up (you could also just take damage and clip through the gate to get out at the end)

I tried getting the feather looking thing in the room with a bunch of moving spike blocks and red orbs but getting crushed and hit repeatedly was really frustrating when coupled with the checkpoint many screens back

the spike blocks in general were kinda frustrating overall, being crushed or hit and then landing on one by accident kinda felt weird
