BACKGROUND :: haerin was born in seoul, south korea as the child of two loving parents. she was their only chils, not that she was spoiled, she was just their baby that they treasured. however, when haerin was four years old her mother passed away from a sudden stroke which devastated both herself and her father. her father eventually remarried three years later when haerin was seven to an american woman who was working in seoul at the time. a few months later, her father decided that they would move to new york, her now step-mother’s hometown. her father had two more children with her step-mother after. living in america was an amazing feeling, really, but no matter how much she loved her step-mother, there was always that missing piece in her that only her true mom would give. haerin didn’t want that to stay missing, and the only thing that she could do to fill it up was to do the one thing her mother was passionate about: modelling. even while still in new york, modelling is something she practiced very frequently. when haerin turned eighteen and capable of choosing her own path in life, she decided to move back to seoul to pursue modelling. her dad, step-mom, and half siblings actually fully support her even to this day.
