- >anon "dates" cherri bomb
- >See: she drags him out if his room to parties in irder to get him out of his shell
- >Anon would rather stay home and play games and post on hellchan where he can't get stabbed at any moment ir r3ped or ect ect
- -
- >Drags him out of his room and practically forces him to do blow or stick needles in his arm and drink to blackout level to have 'fun' and since it's Hell and you can't die, it just fcks you up horribly for a few days while your body auto-detoxes and you're back to normal.
- >repeat ad infinium or until someone steps in to help Anon
- -
- >Anon doesn't have the balls to tell Cherri no
- >Anon doesn't just hold a beer and pretend he's had more than a single beer
- >Cherri is by far the worst girlfriend possible because her idea of having fun is getting super fcked up and puking her guts out for days on end
- that sounds fcking awful.
- -
- >Cherri just keeps checking up on him throughout the night, and forcing it down him, and after so many years of doing dr3gs non stop can tell when someone's under the influence or not, so she sticks sh!t in his arm or holds his head down until he ingests.
- -
- This is the kind of dreary, depressed, fiction I can get behind
- -
- I might make a fic out of it, for fun.
- -
- Angel would notice that anon does not enjoy being around cherri one bit
- Something something it reminds him of how he acts around valentino, appeasing him to avoid trouble
- -
- This is honestly the kind of characterization I expected from her based on the pilot. An actively bad influence on Angel, but one who was his "buddy", and therefore flew under his radar, as opposed to Valentino, who is more openly antagonistic. The kind of person who tries to "help" him when he's down by sliding him a fresh needle or suggesting that they go to a club and pick a fight with the first person who looks at them funny as a means of "blowing off steam". It would make a pretty compelling arc for Angel to have to realize that his friend is as bad for him as his pimp and sever ties with her. I don't think that's going to happen though based on her behavior in the Addict video; she does seem to care about him in a genuine way.
- -
- That might be an issue of co-dependence. Cherri realises Angel is the only one who tolerates her reckless behaviour because she enables him too, so they're only really friends because they take dr3gs together and party hard.
- But that wouldn't happen because Angel needs a comfort character in Cherri who understands him, instead of exploring why a character like Cherri is being so self-destructive to a character with fresh, open wounds like Angel.
- -
- it's possible Cherri will start to calm down once she sees Angel starting to change a little. She would see Angel being happy without the use of substances or cracking skulls and realize she can do it too.
- -
- >only one who tolerates her
- I dont know about that. Especially given the nature of the setting, it seems like a hard-partying badass chick with huge knockers wouldn't have tooooo difficult of a time finding some fair weather friends to keep her company on a binge.
- >fresh open wounds
- Angel died in the 1940s, his wounds are anything but fresh. They've had decades to fester. They're downright gangrenous at this point. His mental sickness has got to run pretty deep at this point. It's beyond "I'll have a drink because it tamps down the fear of dad finding out I'm gay" it's more like "I'll have a dose of heron first thing in the morning because that's what I did yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that too. I don't even think about why I started using substances anymore, it's just what I do now, at every opportunity."
- -
- Exactly. It's turned from, 'I'll drink to dull the pain of my situation' to, 'I'll just do it because it's what I do every day' because he doesn't know any difference anymore. He's been dead for 74 years and he's had that time to pursue his hedonistic lifestyle but it's clear he's had enough by now.
- ---
- I could see that, but it might require a bit more of a tug for her. Angel was already unhappy between being under Val's thumb and being financially strapped all the time. All he needed was a little push from C&V to take a shot at the hotel. Cherri doesn't seem to be suffering so much, and she has a lot of overlord-related ambitions (which involve lots of punching and shooting and blowing things up) so checking into the puppy-dog-kisses-and-cotton-candy-dreams hotel is going to be a harder sell for her.
