LAST TIME ON VELOCITY NEON, YOU ELECTROCUTED A POLICE STATION! How exciting! And just when you thought you were gonna bite it, your friendly neighborhood Black Belle showed up to haul your asses out of trouble! And then promptly towards more trouble. On the way, most people hopped out. The geisha returned to the red light district, Team Y took off saying they need to catch up on points(and Eyesoar don't trust this lady, but Inc. is optimistic!!), and Holly claimed she had a friend she had to talk to. You don't know if you believe she has any friends, but...that's the story. You tried to slip out with Team Y, but Pomp slammed the door on your ass. Oh no, he says - the boss has business with you lot. She uh, didn't with Clover, but the delinquent opted to stick around anyway. Apparently this whole situation is "bitchin'".
Renee: (( Yes. Yes I did. ))

Renee:
I am somewhere around 80% anxiety rn

Thrice:
The truck finally comes to a stop, and the hatch opens up to a luxurious, tinted-glass double-decker apartment. You imagine this is what a ground-level penthouse would look like, if such a thing were possible. Inside, there's a roomy red velvet casino floor for dice, drinks, and blackjack(and hookers), but Pomp and Bangs usher you upstairs, to Black Belle's living quarters.

Cyprien:
By this point, Cy knows better than to speak out of turn.

Pomp:
"You be quiet, kid." He takes your coats and hats, hanging em up by the door, "That ain't no way to speak in front of the boss."

Renee:

Renee sours, but shuts up, shooting a glare at Bangs

White Belle:
Belle wheels around in her seat, showing distaste at her subordinate's antics, "Hmph...You'll have to be tested for lice, now, Priscilla." Ultimately, though, she waves it off. She's already wearing headphones, after all. "So...I finally have you. I trust you all know why I've brought you here?"
Renee: (( I ain't responding to that. ))
Morgan: (( eyes emoji ))

Cyprien:
"Ahaha..well I believe we have some business to finish...and I seemingly have a long growing list of things I owe you by now..."

Renee:
"Is it the same reason that I want to get out of here?"

White Belle:
"Yes, you do...and I shall have them. Hope that you haven't sailed out farther than you can row back. I hear the waters are tumultuous at this time of year." She opens a cabinet on her desk, taking out a pristine, well-polished bottle of deep red wine along with a few glasses, "Would anyone like a taste?"

Renee:
ah shit, my one weakness.

Renee:
"...This is the part where you drink first, right?"

Morgan:
"I dunno, can you tell me more about the wine?"
Morgan: (( or is it actually the blood of a thousand police officers ))

Clover:
Clover pipes up at that, snapped out of her reverie of admiring the place, "Ooh, ooh, I'll take some! This place is so..glitzy!"
Morgan: (( thrice: furiously searching how to taste wine ))

"I'll respectfully decline, Miss Belle."

White Belle:
"It's a Spanish wine, tempranillo. I would go into more detail, but I don't imagine it would be of any help to you? I do have some smoked meats, if you'd like to pair it."
White Belle: (( I actually spent 5 hours today watching videos about cheeses and which wines to pair them with ))

"Just curious. I'll have some."

"Not all of you are bereft of an appreciation for the finer points in life, it would seem." She pours out four cups - for herself, Clover, Morgan, and Renee if she wants it

White Belle:

"Hmm, thank you?" Morgan takes a glass and swishes it around like the rich Napa Valley wine snob he secretly desires to be. He sticks his face closer to the cup to inhale the hopefully-not-sketchy-at-all aromas.

White Belle:
The liquid sticks to the side in droplets, indicating that despite the overall cherry-like smell, this is pretty high in alcohol, comparitively. It's not all sweet, though - bit of earthy scent, too. You don't SMELL any bitter almonds, but...you never know

White Belle:
plenty of poisons are odorless after all

White Belle:
Belle doesn't seem to mind, though, and shows no hesitation herself

Cyprien:
"I can...fairly safely say I don't think Miss Belle would ruin a good wine trying to kill you, Renee." He notices her hesitation to sip the drank.

Clover:
Clover tries to parrot Morgan and Belle's techniques but is really just confused as to why she has to smell this shit, aren't you supposed to drink it

Renee:
Renee flushes, the glass trembling in her hands. She stares worriedly at Cy, and takes in a good drink

Morgan:
Morgan smiles and takes a large-ish sip. "You know a little destressing is nice after your friend bombs a police station."

White Belle:
"Now, now. A measured amount of caution can be very wise, indeed..."

Renee:
Well, she got about halfway. She catches it right down the windpipe, and starts loudly coughing.

Pomp:
oh shit that WAS the one we poisoned

Pomp:
was wondering when we'd get to that bottle

Bangs:
Bangs slaps you on the back, "Hey! No coughing in front of the lady! You'll stain the rug!!"
Cyprien: (( She's also eaten your hat. ))

Renee:

Renee:
She continues to cough intermittently while looking down at the rug

"What were we going to do, huh? She had *keff* she had already blown up one of the wings from shooting at us!"

White Belle:
"That is a topic of conversation for the night, yes... I must admit, I did not expect this of either of you. You appeared too...unsure of yourselves, and weak-willed, to attempt such a deed."

Renee:
"How much of the police force was even stationed there...?"

Pomp:
"Know a bit, he says! You bet your ass. This punk," He motions toward the hatless Renee, "Took our old club. And that one has some business with the Boss. ...Never seen you before."

Cyprien:
"Oh? I was unaware you two had met before..ah, that must be why you've been sweating so much this whole time..."

Renee:
"And we've been cleaning it up!" She cuts in. "I was hoping to invite y'all back over once it was finished."

She smiles, sipping her glass, "I'm sure you were." She sets her glass down with a CLINK, "I accept that you won the Viper Pavillion." She turns toward Cy, "But I have not forgotten the debts you owe me."

Renee:
"You wouldn't believe the property tax rates we get away with at that location."

Cyprien:
Cy shoots Morgan a look of "Dude, don't mention the exploded police station to her."

Morgan:
"Debts...?" Morgan looks back at Cy.

Renee:
"Right, next time you have a nuke's crosshair on your ass, I'll just let it happen."

White Belle:
She knows, she was there

White Belle:
it's just not the time to leverage that yet

Cyprien:
"Of course not, I'm a man of my word, for better or worse." He turns back to Morgan, "Ah...well I damaged the lady's dress during our escape from the police.."

"Just teasing. Sort of."

"Oh, I thought you did something worse."

"That dress was a powerful look."

She sips more wine, shaking her head, "Regardless, that was possibly my most cherished outfit, and certainly one of my most expensive.You'll have to find me a replacement..."

"Unless you can think of something equally valuable?"

"I feel as though you have something in mind?

"The three of you may swear fealty to me, and work your debts off over time... Or, you could bring me the Deputy of this town - dead or alive."

Pomp:

White Belle:

"I need to get ahold of Maggie too, get this story straight..."

Clover:

"What are they going to do, throw me in a cell?"

"I don't plan on getting caught."

Clover:
She shrugs, "I dunno. They're cops. Shoot ya, probably."

Morgan:

Renee:

Cyprien:
"That would be a mercy coming from the deputy..."

Cyprien:
"Also..no one plans on getting caught..heaven knows I didn't.."

Renee:
"I told her to run, why didn't she run? She pulled a gun on me, she shot me! ...hit Inc, but that's beside the point."

Cyprien:
"The police don't exactly listen to the commands of criminals..."

Morgan:
"We probably could've came in with a more... cohesive plan."

White Belle:
She taps her glass on the table, "I do not think that would be for the best." Taking another delicate sip, she regards the lot of you as a whole, "You have your options. I will give you time to mull them over... your little stray, as well. You'll stay here for the night, I should think."

Renee:
"It was going fine until she brought in a nuclear grenade launcher."

Renee:
"Who DOES that? Inside, even!"

Renee:
"What was she hoping to accomplish?"

Morgan:
"What are you gonna do now that you're free?" Morgan says to Clover.

Renee:
I'm taking my hat back

Clover:
"Huh...Hadn't thought about it! Maybe I'll hang around here, huh? Hey, ya think that swearing option still open? I'm pretty good at swearing."

"I wonder if these prison keys are worth anything."

Renee:
Renee taps Bangs on the shoulder via a wall portal, and grabs for her hat when she turns around to look

"Well we appreciate you allowing us to stay..."
