एक क़र्ज़ मेरे ऊपर जो बोलता नहीं, सूखी है जिसकी आँखें मुंह खोलता नहीं।
आईने के उस पार से जो झांकता परे, खुद से किसी गिरह को पर खोलता नहीं।
ख्वाबो में जबरन झरोखे बना लिये, पहली दफा देखी बेशर्म पर्दानशीं।
दुनिया-जहान की बातों को तरजीह मिल गयी, उन तमाम बातों में वतन का नामोनिशां नहीं।
अपनी ही कश्मकश में ज़िन्दगी गुज़ार दी, मुल्क की शिकन को कोई तोलता नहीं।
इंसाफी मुजस्मा शर्मसार झुक गयी, किस्मत को कोसती मुझसे कहने लगी
पाबंदी है यह कैसी...मैं कुछ देखती नहीं और तू कुछ बोलता नहीं !
