(1-)  Acquiring PZ & Addressing Anonymity Concerns
There are three options for PZ Acquisition listed in the subsegments of this part of the write-up. The version we are playing is 41.78.16.

For concerns about Anonymity, Indie Stone did a good job in setting up how server accounts work: They are on a server by server basis, so they do not reveal any information about your steam account, etc, except to the server admin who have IP logs to track problem users.

Where it says Account Name and Account password are where you would create an account. Once created, those credentials are stored as an account on the server The admin only has access to the username and your IP address for this purpose. In fact this allows you to make multiple accounts per server, there are no restrictions here.

Each account is relevant only to that server. In a lot of servers, this account name may be displayed instead of your character's name, along side it, or may be hidden in favor of just the Character Name. For the purposes of this server, the third option is what I went with. Because of this, there is no actual risk of being doxxed, etc. If you still feel unsafe, I encourage you to use a VPN to mask your IP when playing, which would completely obfuscate your presence.

(1A)  Steam [EZ Modo]

Option A is to buy a copy off Steam. This is the recommended method with the most advantages: 1. It's easy to install the game 2. It's easy to install the mods 3. If you end up befriending any anons you can add them easily if you're comfortable with them.

So you don't want to pay for the game or are extremely concerned about anonymity? No problem. I've always been an advocate for this method, as I'm inline with Gabe Newell's stance that piracy has mainly been a service issue first and foremost. I also believe that all games should have demos like in the good old days, but demos are mostly out of fashion, anyway here are the options I've compiled for acquiring the game through more dastardly means:

B. Here's the GOG version of the game's torrent. Seven Gamers is a reliable website but they have some game files on google drive which requires discord access, they are vetted by the Piracy Megathread. THE ZOMBOID TORRENT DOES NOT REQUIRE GOOGLE DRIVE.

A. SteamRIP lets you get Steam Games directly ripped as folders, pre-installed. Files are not tampered with, and it's vetted by the Piracy Megathread.

(1C) GOG.com

Option C is to buy a copy off GOG.com. This method is the same as the pirate method except you pay money. Like the pirate method, I don't recommend it just because it's extra steps, but I understand it if you want to support the devs but don't like steam as a platform or something. GOG has done fantastic work in keeping old games alive and MOSTLY DRM free. I can't promise support for this version, though I will try to troubleshoot any issues. Since the server is dedicated, you should have no trouble connecting to it, as it only seems to be Quick Host servers/Co-Op style hosted servers that are unable to crossplay.
