- -overhauling the plasma and bfg weapon equivelents to be lessy sucky in general
- -tweaking the HUD to account for pistol and marksman rifle reloads
- -adding a decent looking air meter graphic that will show up on both classic and

- -a disc of repulsion expy that makes sense (I kinda want
- a techy-looking thing for the disc of repulsion)
- -a timebomb of the ancients expy

- -(maybe) an armour repair kit inventory item of some sort
- -investigate Shadow Warrior for possible sprites for it
- -A more techy-looking set of pickup sprites for the new
- "literal chaos device"

- to throw a random projectile from a limited pool (and can
- sometimes fail to shoot a projectile at all)
- -(maybe) further nerfbats on shotgun ammo amounts
- -(maybe) restoring the classic cyberdemon via splitting the E2
- Cyberdemon Lord boss from him
- -if I do go ahead and restore the classic cyberdemon,
- the mini-cybers might have to hit the cutting block
- -replacing E2 Cyberdemon boss grenade attack with a railgun attack
- inspired by his DOOM 2016 incarnation
- -I think giving the Cyberdemon Lord a railgun attack in addition to
- his rockets is a fiendishly awesome idea!
- -(maybe) cutting some of the enemy roster
- -too much potential overlap between the Golems and Nitrogolems
- from Heretic and the Unwilling.
- -too much potential overlap between the Hellkite and the
- Apprentices of D'sparil (D'sparil does however plays something
- of a role in this mod as the eventual pre-final boss, the actual
- final boss will remain a mystery for the time being)
- -(in case I do restore the classic cyberdemon) too much potential
- overlap between the classic cyberdemon, the mini-cybers, and the
- rocket zombies
- === BETA PHASE ===
- -making a TITLEMAP
- -planning out the TITLEMAP
- -making new levels for E1 and E2
- -(Maybe) A new intro level for E1
- -I think E1 in general needs another level
- since it seems kinda brief-ish to me
- -An extra level crammed between E2M3 and the current E2M4
- due to E2 being a wee bit too brief but then again that
- might not be a bad thing
- -come up with better episode names for the pre-existing three episodes
- -further refine existing levels
- -probably cook up some easter eggs of some sort for a
- few of the previous levels, just to add some charm.
- -work on more maps
- -the two endgame episodes (or one consolidated endgame episode) will be Hell and Void themed respectively,
- which leaves me a good question:
- What do I want to really do with the episode (or episodes) meant to come after
- Episode 3 and before the last two (or one) episode(s)?

- -if I do that though, there's a handful of interesting locales I can try
- but I run into the problem of a scarcity of good music for it

- -An expy of a bit of north american frontier wilderness
- -Some Sort of 19th century City expy
- -Do I really have the patience or skill for this?
- -The Classic: A old western goldrush town
- -The Other Classic: A Mesa Verde like cliff city
- -Possible Episode Theme: The 20th Century
- -An equally interesting Episode theme with a lot of possible level themes
- the 20th Century is possible the most eventful century in human history,
- the big problem being that there are so many possible choices for level
- themes that it becomes overwelming to simply choose just a few!
- -Possible Level Themes (and this isn't even all of them!)
- -The Classic to end all Classics: Castle Wolfenstein
- -An expy of an Eastern European City, Post WW2 (and prior to the end
- of the USSR)
- -A top secret base, either in the US or the USSR
- -A Titanic Expy
- -An expy of a typical modern city
- Would it be better if I somehow consolidated the previous two themes I mentioned?
- -maybe name it something like "The End of History" or the "The Road to the Modern World"
- or something like that, but then I run into the problem of satisfying level names
- -Possible Episode Theme: The Classical World
- -Ah yes, the classical world of the Greeks and Romans, this is one I want to do
- but I dunno if I even have enough creative steam for it
- -There's also the problem of thematic overlap with Episode 2 and 3 (Egypt and Medieval Europe respectively)

- -The Classic: A Coliseum!
- -An expy of a typical Greek or Roman City?
- -An expy of the famous City of Petra in Jordan, renown for it's rock cut buildings
- -The Classic: A Dangerous Temple (seemingly global among a lot of cultures)
- -Possible Episode Theme: Pre-Columbian America
- -Possible Episode Theme: The Ancient Far East
- -these two episode themes I'm not really certain about or all that interested
- in. No offense intended ofcourse but I'm just not feeling excited or enthused about either one of these.
- -Possible Episode Theme: Apocalyptic Future
- -Possible Episode Theme: Classic DOOM era Future
- -These two on the other hand interest me, since I have a few ideas in the
- former and I kinda want to (re-)visit, expand upon and further flesh out
- some classic areas from Phobos and Deimos in the latter.
