Start:

-----Pop Star-----

1-1:
* Fire, backtrack to respawn fire, get double fire.
* Crystal shard #1: Plain sight, before miniboss.
* Crystal shard #2 (bomb + fire req.): After miniboss, combine bomb + fire. Use to get shard in colored stone in water.
* Crystal shard #3: Hit Waddle Doo four times with fireworks. Remove bomb + fire combo and use that block to finish Waddle Doo. Get shard.

1-2:
* Double fire at beginning of level. Go offscreen enough to respawn for second fire.
* Crystal shard #1: Off the ledge near the pulley system with Waddle Dee.
* Crystal shard #2: Appears after beating miniboss.
* Crystal shard #3: Appears after beating Adeleine (use fire on all...can slide into Adeleine).

1-3:
* Crystal shard #1 (Cut + Cut req.): Second time being outside (on top of bridge), get rid of Double Fire and get Double Cutter. Use to get shard in following room. Remove double cutter after getting crystal shard.
* Crystal shard #2: After Adeleine room, jump and float left. Crystal shard above door.
* Float up to skip large portion of room. Get double fire. Continue to float (don't climb) up.
* Crystal shard #3: King DeDeDe (Double fire to death).

1-4: BOSS Wispy. Kill with double fire. If you lose it, go back to 1-1, get double fire, and pause to exit level. Watch YT video starting at 6:28 for Wispy strategy.

-----Rock Star-----

2-1:
* Crystal shard #1: After entering building, go above platforms. Crystal shard is above second big block.
* Right after crystal shard #1, remove double fire. Swallow Stone.
* Crystal shard #2: Kill miniboss by turning into stone underneath it. Grab shard.
* Crystal shard #3 (elec + stone req.): After autoscroll ascent, and after hill outside, combine stone with electric. Backtrack to building and use ability on colored wall for shard.
* Get rid of stone + electric ability before exiting level.

2-2:
* Get double fire (the usual way).
* Crystal shard #1: Inside stone structure before entering building.
* Crystal shard #2: Upon entering building, take the "lower" path (the one with no platforms). Shard is there.
* When climbing on ropes or ladders, jump to climb (don't just hold up).
* Crystal Shard #3: DeDeDe room. It's in the upper left corner.

2-3:
**Go back to 2-2. Get Needle + Stone (from cactus and axe) at beginning. Exit level.**
* Crystal shard #1 (Stone req.): Inside dinosaur bones. Use ability to break back bone. Remove ability.
* Get single fire shortly after shard #1.
* Crystal shard #2: After dropping down first hole, you have two hole options. Go left to that hole. Beat miniboss. Crystal shard is right after that in next room.
* Crystal shard #3: In second vertical water section where you go up, it's at the top left of the room.

2-4:
* Remove fire. Get bomb (swallow rocket).
* Start flying up vertical section with cannons after the first two side cannons. Take damage by running into cannon near the top left. This will regenerate the flying, allowing you to finish the ascent.
* Following room, combine bomb with electric (electric comes from electric "turrets").
* Crystal shard #1: Same room, in middle section. Visible.
* Crystal shard #2 (bomb + electric req.): In room with Adeleine, use ability to see three panels. Following room, press three symbols in order that corresponded to previous panels (duck to press the panels).
* Next BIG room, immediately start flying up.
* Crystal shard #3: On miniboss, remove dual ability and throw it at miniboss. Swallow electric in that room and use that ability to finish miniboss. Combine two electrics while in that room for double electric.

2-5: BOSS Pix. Watch YT video starting at 18:20 for Pix strategy. Can stay still for most (if not all) of ascent (duck under first red phase), depending on which of two attack patterns it uses. On the first attack pattern, you only have to duck. On the other possible attack pattern, you'll have to move to the right a bit when green pix is around. Remove double electric ability and use that block to do good damage on boss. Possible (but difficult) to one cycle boss.

-----Aqua Star-----

3-1:
* Double fire.
* Crystal shard #1: After entering cave, flying straight up. Shard is on the way.
* Remove double fire. Combine ice (penguin) with bomb in next room.
* Crystal shard #2: At miniboss, get on platform directly underneath. Spam ice + bomb. Shard in hole after miniboss.
* Crystal shard #3 (ice + bomb req.): Outside, go below several platforms until you see blue & black block. Blow it up with ice + bomb. Enter green circle. Shoot up to shard. Remove ice + bomb upon exiting level.

3-2:
* Before entering cave, swallow stone. After entering cave, combine with fire.
* Crystal shard #1 (stone + fire req.): Beat miniboss. Use ability to break block above miniboss for shard. Remove ability after.
* Crystal shard #2: Before first big waterfall drop with Waddle Dee, jump to reach shard.
* Crystal shard #3: It is along the wall of one of the waterfalls (last in a series of three waterfalls back to back).
* Double fire in ascending waterfall area.

3-3:
* When you see green cutter some time after sand castle, remove double fire and swallow cutter. Combine cutter with bomb (from bomb fish in water).
* Crystal shard #1 (bomb + cutter req.): Go in volcano-like mountain from top. Use ability on colored stone on left side.
* Remove cutter + bomb. Swallow the stone before DeDeDe.
* Combine stone with cutter (fishbone) in next area.
****NOTE: If you lose stone anytime after DeDeDe, you have to exit and re-enter the level to try again if you're trying to get shard #3.****
* Crystal shard #2: Beat miniboss. Get shard on right before dropping down on left.
* Crystal shard #3 (stone + cutter req.): At bottom of vertical drop after miniboss, use ability on colored wall on left. After getting up on platform with 1-up, use ability to turn into Rick (the hamster that can climb walls) to reach shard.

3-4:
* Use ability (rock + cutter) to drop down first vertical room. Remove ability after reaching bottom.
* Carry monsters over head to swim faster in a straight line.
* Crystal shard #1: Top of the first water room with currents. Start from the left side to reach the shard.
* Crystal shard #2: When you reach a pole in the second room with currents, climb down to the bottom of the pole before letting go so that you walk along the floor. Shard is just right and down from that. Could miss it if carried too much by current.
* Swallow bomb fish while going through current to use on miniboss.
* Crystal shard #3: In last current room (the one with rocks), stay along the floor until you reach a hole with the shard. Can easily miss this too if carried by current.

3-5: BOSS Acro. Watch YT video starting at 32:10 for Orca strategy. Use bomb or whatever ability you have.

-----Neo Star-----

4-1:
* Remove ability, if any.
* Crystal shard #1: After small pond in first area, inside second breakable ground (stand on that ground to break it).
* Crystal shard #2: After entering vertical area, drop down to the right. Shard is there.
* Get double fire in vertical area.
* Crystal shard #3: In area after miniboss, it's above one of the logs. Need to go to top of screen. It's above the log after the last swinging log.
* Remove double fire and swallow stone before exiting stage.

4-2:
**Go back to 3-4. Combine stone with bomb (missile). Exit level.**
* Crystal shard #1: Upon entering and dropping, go left. Crystal shard is in midair.
* Crystal shard #2: Minecart segment. Jump when "!" shows. Jump over rocks on upper railing for shard.
* Continuously jumping on minecart keeps most optimal speed.
* Crystal shard #3 (bomb + stone req.): In area towards end, a wall to the left will be colored. Use ability to break through and get shard.

4-3:
* Crystal shard #1: Swallow needle at beginning. Use it to break colored block part way through the first area. Shard is below. Remove needle after.
* Get ice (blue floating propeller head). Combine with stone (volcano) on next screen.
* Crystal shard #2: Check the picture Adeleine draws. In the next screen, you shape the blocks like the image in the picture. Use air puffs to remove blocks.

* Crystal shard #3: After ascending up a green cliffside, the shard is down the crack between the green and red plateaus.

4-4:
* Crystal shard #1: In DeDeDe area, it is inside the second to last pillar. You need to break the top part of the pillar in order for it to appear (jump and hammer).
* Crystal shard #2 (ice + stone req.): In a small room with two fire guys and a maraca shaker in the background, there is a block in the middle of the room. Use ability to break block. Keep in mind that once you do, you will likely take damage, so have extra health in store.
* In next room, remove current ability. Get double fire.
* Crystal shard #3: During lava ascent, shard is above yellow puddy enemy on the left side.
* Remove double fire before exiting level. Also swallow fish near goal to get Cutter.

4-5: BOSS Magman. Mix cutter with one of the fire spurts that come out of the lava. Swallow mix quickly. Watch YT video starting at 46:35 for Magman strategy. After four hits on second phase, remove ability block and hit boss with it to finish boss.

-----Shiver Star-----

5-1:
* Get double fire.
* Crystal shard #1: On sledding with Waddle Dee, jump onto second igloo to get shard ("!" will appear before that jump).
* Crystal shard #2 (fire req.): After beating miniboss, crystal shard appears in ice case at the top. Use ability to break case.
* Crystal shard #3: Found underneath the ice in the following area. Go to the third ice hole to enter the water. There is a tunnel through the mountain that you can swim through to get to the shard.

5-2:
* Crystal shard #1: Found underneath a cloud on a platform in the first cloud area.
* Crystal shard #2: In the green bubbles segment, when you have a choice between 5 directions to aim the bubble, go top left to get the shard. After getting shard, go up to continue through area.
* In following area, when you encounter needles, remove double fire ability and swallow needle.
* In the area following that, combine needle with electric.
***NOTE: If you lose needle, die. You'll go back to the beginning of that area. You can go back to the previous area and get another needle. It's easy to die here.****
* Crystal shard #3 (needle + electric req.): After defeating the miniboss, the crystal shard will be inside a colored box in the middle of the room. Use ability to break box and get shard. Remove ability after.

5-3:
**Go back to 5-1. Get double fire.**
* Crystal shard #1: After four sets of conveyor belts, you'll end up on the left side. Fly straight up. A shard will be on the left platform (it's at the very top left of the room).
* Crystal shard #2: Appears after defeating miniboss.
* Crystal shard #3: Watch what Adeleine draws in the following room on the glass. Relate the fruit drawn to their respective colors. Press the colored switches in order in the next room.
* Remove double fire before finishing level.

5-4:
**Go back to 4-3. Combine needle with stone.**
* Crystal shard #1 (Needle + Stone req.): Located in on the right side of the first big room. After you go down through four platforms on the left side, run to the right through the tunnel. Climb up the ladder for crystal shard. Use ability to remove any blocks in the way. Remove ability after getting shard.
* In room with conveyor belts and test-tube monsters in background, combine cutter with electric.
* Crystal shard #2 (electric + cutter req.): After beating miniboss, shard will appear in cage above room. Use ability to destroy cage and get shard.
* Crystal shard #3: On second to last hallway with yellow wall crusher (fourth from bottom), go to the very end. Shard is there. Move fast out after you get shard, or you will get crushed.

5-5: BOSS HR-H. Watch YT video starting at 1:02:10 for HR-H strategy. Remove ability at end.

-----Ripple Star-----

6-1:
* Crystal shard #1: In plain sight before miniboss.
* Get needle (lancer).
* Crystal shard #2: Appears after defeating miniboss.
* Crystal shard #3 (needle + bomb req.) Combine needle with bomb shortly before lake. Break colored block in lake with ability. Shard is inside.

6-2:
**Go back to 6-1. Get electric.**
* Crystal shard #1 (electric req.): After dropping into well, break block with ability at bottom of water. Shard is inside.
* Combine electric with cutter (bone fish) in next room.
* Crystal shard #2: After dropping down several holes in one of the rooms, you'll come into some water. Swim to the left for the shard.
* Crystal shard #3 (electric + cutter req.): In the same room as Adeleine, the shard is behind the bottom-most pillar (to the left of the "hallway"). Break with ability to get shard.

6-3:
* Crystal shard #1: Appears after clearing first enemy room.
* Crystal shard #2: In third enemy room, combine fire with needle. Use it to break block in middle of floor in that room. After getting shard, combine electric with cutter again, if desired.
* Crystal shard #3: Appears after clearing fifth (last) enemy room.

6-4: BOSS Miracle Matter. Watch YT video starting at 1:09:25 for Miracle Matter strategy. Remove cutter + electric ability here. If color matches Miracle Matter's ability, can damage it with ability block.
* When either electric, ice, needle, or fire appear, swallow part of matter and use ability to damage rather than spitting parts back at boss. If next phase is not same as last, remove ability.
* 3 hits per phase will finish boss.
