  1. Name - Mitsuo
  2. Race - Human
  3. Rank to apply for - Head Scientist of Earth
  4. Tech App - Scanner
  5.
  6. A prodigy, a child genius some would say. Mitsuo had no money to his name, and no place to call home. He lived in a small time shack. It wasn't anything special, It was approximately 8x10, in length and width, and was made of Oak Wood. However the wood was worn down, and had holes in it, where animals, mostly bugs had burrowed into, and made nests. Mostly Cockroaches... Vile, disgusting creatures. Mitsuo didn't care for them, and did his best to keep his home as clean as he possibly could. Even if doing so costed him valuable time researching. Perhaps one day he could simply hire a Maid. If he was ever recognized, for his glory, for all the hard work he put into everything he did. It depressed him, to think that he was forced to live in mediocracy, as fakes prevailed, and gained the life he so thoroughly deserved. People whom didn't even MAKE the things they were famous for. Not that there were many now. They were mostly gone, or have obscured into the shadows.
  7.
  8. Mitsuo wanted to make a new life for himself. He of course had very little supplies to make his dreams a reality however. At best, he could probably put together a scanning device, or something to check his own health. It wasn't much, and it definitely didn't seem like It would or could be enough to make his name rise, shining in glorious lights. But he didn't have anything to lose, so he figured It couldn't hurt. But what would be easier... No. What would be more convenient to make. Of course, he would inevitably settle on the Scanner. Whilst health was imporant, he was but a child. A prodigy. He knew that his health was in tip top shape at the time. So making something like that would be irrelevant. But a Scanner could be used to sense other life forms, locate people. Find out if they were scarier than they looked. Very important.
  9.
  10. Firstly. Parts... He needed material, and wood wouldn't cut it. He would have to extract Iron from the water. No... Water didn't contain Iron, he mixed it up with blood. And seeing as the Human Body only contained 0.04 grams of Iron in all of the blood in his body. He would need the combined blood of over 200 Humans, to get the required resources. Iron is the most difficult ingredient to get. He would need glass, which he could concoct from Sand. And some wiring, which he would simply make from glass, and wood. Combining the two, would make a more flexible material. Odd seeing as one is hard as a rock, the other hard but fragile. But the Compounds added up properly. As was Science.
  11.
  12. He could also extract small amounts of Iron from the dirt at his feet. The house he lived in didn't have flooring... It was very inconvenient. Sighing lightly, he kneeled down, and began to tear chunks of dirt from the ground. He had a small sifter in the corner. He would put the chunks of dirt into it, and begin to jam it down, sifting the dirt and whatever else was in it... Such a painfully slow way of doing things. It was a drag. He didn't stop, shoveling chunk after chunk of dirt into the Sifter. It would take hours for him to get the materials needed. Copper, Iron, Silver, he would be getting all of these minerals, so he could be a little more complex. And would be able to make actual functioning wiring.
  13.
  14. A day or two had passed, and he had finally sifted enough. He had a small pile of Iron, Silver, Copper, Aluminum. Odd to find Aluminum in the ground, but he did. And It would help shape the device Itself. He sighed, and brushed his hands off. A Scientist should be doing actual work, not simple hard labor. He grabbed a makeshift axe, made of stone, and a stick. He left his shack, and manuevered to a slightly chipped tree. He would begin to hammer at it. It didn't seem to effective, but chunks of wood would spark off of the tree, landing in a pile he had designated out. He was a Scientist, if he couldn't observe the trajectory of Wood Chips, he wasn't very qualified. Even if it wasn't practical knowledge...
  15.
  16. He sighed lightly, scratching the back of his head. It had been two hours, and he had finally finished chipping at the tree. He had a nice good pile of Wood, and the tree still wasn't halfway chopped through. But the Wood chips he had designated would be more than enough. He piled it up, and bagged it up, before dragging it into his house. He sighed lightly, scratching the back of his head. "Maan, what a drag," he sighed, as he drug out the bits of Copper, laying it on the ground, on a Towel in front of him. He began to work it, heating it up with a lighter. It didn't work to well, but It wasn't a huge chunk, so he could very easily work into some small wires. Seeing as the device would be small in itself, It worked out.
  17.
  18. Putting the wiring aside, he moved outside to gather some sand. The lighter alone wouldn't be enough. Not in the slightest. He took some of the wood chunks from his pile, and gathered some stones. He put the stones in a circle, and gathered up the wood chips in the center. He used the lighter, to set the Woods alight. After the fire started, and was strong, he began to throw handfuls of Sand into it. So It would heat at the bottom of the pit, and turn into Glass. He put his hands behind his head, and moved towards the hut, walking back into it. He shut the makeshift door, and began to work small amounts of the Wood, and all of the Aluminum into a frame. IT was a device that would fit over your ear. It looked rather nice. Definitely had a good design to it, and would work.
  19.
  20. He molded the Aluminum outwards a bit, and into itself, so a glass piece could be set. He also left a small compartment that could be opened and shut, so he could insert wiring, and do some maintenance on it. It was very primative, but he had very little to work with, and to go on. This was a new concept - At least to him. Who knows if anyone else had already made something along these lines. Certainly nobody near him. Nor had he heard of such a thing. He walked outside, and the fire had finally died down. HE gathered rather hot pieces of glass, and carefully, while bouncing them in his hand, moved back into the house, laying them down swiftly. He sighed, and began to chip pieces of the glass off, until IT was made into a rectangle. He grinned broadly as he clicked it into place on the mold. Finally, he began to work on the wiring.
  21.
  22. It was a primitive design once again, so making it in a way that would warrant it to scan other's abillities shouldn't have been so difficult. It was however. He had to carefully modify the inner workings of the Copper Wiring, moving things about. He had no modules, or anything along those lines. So he was working with basically just sticks. But after a while, he felt as if he had gotten it all figured out. He carefully laced the copper wiring into the device, and linked it up. It would be self sustaining, and wouldn't need to be recharged. Of course, he would have to rework some things, once he got the materials. But so far, he felt that the prototype was done. He had created a Scanner!
  23.
  24. Grinning broadly, he put it on and tested it out. He could pick out a few very strong people. Nodding, he'd place it down, and yawn lightly. "Friggin' finally~" He mused, lounging on the grass. "I guess this is where It all starrts eh?" He chuckled, coughing into his hand. The boy was proud of himself. And this was just the start. He would have a lot of journeys, and maybe one day would achieve his dreams.
