this allows you to tag and moderate people who aren't in your channel
so for instance my id looks like this if i want to mention myself: <@233066965814607872>
then it appears like

and I can use it in any channel
so say you wanted to mute someone but not let the whole world know
you go into our bot channel

Do you have a place people can talk about feelings of suicide? I only ask this  because sometimes talking about it can help. I think just brushing it aside can be kind of counterproductive as long as the person isn't in legit danger. Would the tw place be the place to talk about it

one of the things you'll end up doing a lot is deescalating and redirecting
so if you want to get a conversation into the appropriate channel, you ask them to move
the conditions for that
any topic allowed in that room is OK, this is mostly for the lounges UNLESS it goes on for a while and gets detailed or heated; then it should move into the proper channel
for instance if someone mentions Trump in the lounge and things get feisty
then you'd redirect to like tw-lounge
since we don't have a politics channel here
it would be good to familiarize yourself with the names of them all but if you have questions about what they can contain let us know -- most of the descriptions are accurate and up to date

sometimes you'll be muting someone at the same time
or it will spark a huge argument
so you really have to like SS, take it down, and then act in a lot of situations
but that's sort of a timing that comes with practice

Essentially when you mute/warn/kick/ban someone you should supply a reason for it, and it'll automatically be recorded in the archive

Oh the other thing is that mods have their DMs open to server business all the time
so you may occasionally get random DMs about the server
if they're personal you don't have to engage
just if it's business stuff
