Chief Taiga: ...I’ve just received contact from Chief Oka. They successfully repelled the [Angel] and the [Invaders].

大河長官
「もちろん凱たちも無事。
ラー・カイラムが伊豆基地に戻りがてら、
途中まで送ってもらうそうだ」
Chief Taiga: Naturally, Guy and the others are unharmed. The Ra Cailum will be returning to Izu Base, and then they’ll be bringing them over to us.

命
「良かった…ホントに…」
Mikoto: I’m so happy to hear that... Truly...

スワン
「命は凱のことをトッテモ心配してマシタからネ。
さっすが、凱のガールフレンドデース!」
Swan: Mikoto was real worried about Guy, huh? As you would expect from his girlfriend!

「わ、私と凱はまだそういうのじゃ…!」
Mikoto: G-Guy and I aren’t like that yet...!

「まあ、命君が心配するのも無理はない」
Leo: Well, I can’t blame you for being worried.

「並行世界に跳ばされた凱の身体は、
ちゃんとしたメンテを受けられなくて
かなりガタが来ておったからな」
Leo: After being sent to a parallel world, Guy’s body was never able to receive proper maintenance. No doubt he’s in pretty rough shape by now.

「護君が、凱の[Gストーン]を
アジャストすることができなければ、
正直危なかったですね」
Ushiyama: If Mamoru hadn’t been able to adjust Guy’s [G-Stone], it could have actually been pretty dangerous for him.

火麻
「護ねぇ…。
あいつはホント何者なんだろうな?」
Hyuuma: Mamoru... Just what is he, really?

火麻
「Gストーンのアジャストだけじゃねえ、
[ゾンダー]になった人間を元に戻せるなんざ、
普通じゃねえぜ」
Hyuuma: He doesn’t just adjust the G-Stone, he can even turn a [Zonder] back into a human being. That’s not exactly normal.

猿頭寺
「[GGG]の調査を以てしても、
彼はただの人間であるとしかわかりませんでした」
Entouji: Even after [GGG]’s examination, all we learned about him was that he was human.

「見た目も性格も、
ごく普通の男の子なんですけどね」
Mikoto: In both appearance and personality, he’s just a perfectly normal boy.

「護君に関してはわかっていないことが多いが、
ひとつだけ確かなことがある…」
Chief Taiga: There are many things we don’t know about Mamoru, but there’s one thing we can be sure of...

「それは彼が我々に協力してくれる、
勇気ある者…勇者だということだ」
Chief Taiga: He’s a courageous boy for cooperating with us... He could even be called a brave one.

Hyuuma: Ha, you’re right there.

「その護君だが、
今日は友人たちと出かけているんだったな」
Leo: Speaking of Mamoru, I believe he’s out with some friends today.

「ええ。
前から約束していたピクニックだからって。
とっても楽しみにしてました」
Mikoto: Yes. He said it was for a picnic he’d been promised before. He was very much looking forward to it.

「…ケド、良かったんデスか?
護君はゾンダーに狙われる危険もあるから、
GGGデ保護しているのに…」
Swan: ...But is that okay? GGG is supposed to protect him, and wouldn’t that be putting him in danger of being targeted by a Zonder...?

「私も悩んだが…。
勇者と言っても彼はまだ小学生だ。
友人たちと過ごす時間は大事にしてあげたい」
Chief Taiga: That worries me too... He may be a brave, but he’s still an elementary schooler. Although I do still think it’s important that he spends time with his friends.

「それに護君たちのことならご心配なく。
彼には頼もしい護衛がついていますからね」
Entouji: You don’t have to worry about Mamoru and his friends. He has a very reliable bodyguard watching over him.

Hyuuma: Ah, him.

Entouji: Yes, him.

再びこの世界に舞い戻ってくるとはな」
Polonaise: Cain’s legacy... It has returned once more to this world.

「せっかく、余計な邪魔者が
消えてくれたと思っていたのに」
Primada: I thought we wouldn’t have to worry about that particular nuisance anymore.

プリマーダ
「私たちの目的を成し遂げるためにも、
何としても破壊しないと」
Primada: We need to destroy it at any costs if we are to achieve our goal.

パスダー
「我らが警戒すべきはカインの遺産だけではない」
Pasder: Cain’s legacy is not our only concern.

パスダー
「カインの造りし破壊マシン。
ゾンダーと化した心弱き者を元に戻すあの力は、
我々にとって脅威となる」
Pasder: The destruction machine created by Cain. Its power to turn a Zonder back into a human is a grave threat to us.

「その逆、あの子供さえいなくなってしまえば、
地球人どもはゾンダーメタルの支配に
抗えないということでもあります」
Pinchernone: But on the other hand, once the child is gone, the Earthlings will be unable to resist the Zonder Metal’s control.

「…パスダー様、ご安心ください。
あの子供を始末する手はすでに打っております」
Pizza: ...Lord Pasder, be at ease. I have already made preparations to dispose of the child.

プリマーダ
「あら、手が早いのね」
Primada: Oh, how expedient of you.

ポロネズ
「では、お手並み拝見といかせてもらおう」
Polonaise: We shall see just how capable you are then.

ペンチノン
「油断するなよ、ピッツァ。
カインの遺産はもちろんのこと、
奴らの部隊はさらに戦力を増しているぞ」
Pinchernone: Don’t be careless, Pizza. Cain’s legacy is one thing, of course, but the other forces have been growing in power as well.

「言われるまでもない」
Pizza: You don’t need to tell me that.


(Scene changes to a forest.)

「今日のピクニック、
いいお天気になって良かったね!」
Hana: I’m glad the weather was so nice for today’s picnic!

「うん、そうだね!」
Mamoru: Yeah, for sure!

「けど残念だなぁ…。
護君、今日のピクニックが終わっちゃったら、
また宇宙開発公団に戻っちゃうんだよね」
Hana: But it’s a shame... After today’s picnic, Mamoru will have to go back to that national space development corporation.

「あんたも大変よねえ。
ずーっとあっちの方に泊まってるんですって?」
Reiko: That must be difficult. Do you really have to stay there all the time?

護
「う、うん。
でもお父さんやお母さんとは連絡取ってるし、
こうやってみんなとも遊びに行かせてもらえるから」
Mamoru: Y-Yeah. But I still stay in touch with my mom and dad. And they let me go out and play with everyone like this.

「なあなあ。
特別研修ってすげえらしいな」
Sueo: I see, I see. Getting special training must be pretty incredible.

末男
「兄貴から聞いたんだけど、
宇宙飛行士になる訓練もしてるんだって?
無重力の作業訓練とかやってるって言ってたぜ!」
Sueo: I heard this form my older brother, but are you training to be an astronaut? He said they were doing stuff like zero-gravity operation training!

華
「え、ホントに!?
すごいね、護君…!」
Hana: Huh, really!? That’s awesome, Mamoru...!

護
「そ、そうだね…あははは…」
Mamoru: Y-Yeah... Ahahaha...

護
(そういえばウッシーのお兄さんって、
GGGの人だった…。
もう、変なこと言わないでよぉ)
Mamoru: (Come to think of it, Ushi’s brother is a member of GGG... Geez, he better not say anything suspicious again.)

護
「あれ?」
Mamoru: Huh?

華
「どうしたの、護君?」
Hana: What’s wrong, Mamoru?

護
「なんか…急に霧が濃くなってきた気がして…」
Mamoru: It just...feels like the fog is getting thicker all of a sudden...

「山の天気は変わりやすいからね。
こういう時はヘタに動き回らないのが正解さ」
Sunou: That’s because the weather in the mountains is prone to changing. In times like this, the correct thing to do is to not move around too much.

「これ、天気とかそういう問題なワケ?」
Reiko: Do you really think the weather’s the cause of this?

(Mamoru flashes green for a moment.)

「…!」
Mamoru: ...!

護
(今の感じ…まさか…)
Mamoru: (That feeling just now... Don’t tell me...)

(The screen shakes as metal smashing sounds play.)

「どうした…!?」
Bright: What’s going on...!?

「衝撃は格納庫からです!
ギャレオンがハッチを破ろうとしています!」
Torres: The impact came from the hanger! Galeon is about to tear through the hatch!

ブライト
「なんだと!?」
Bright: What!?

凱
「艦長、俺とギャレオンに出撃許可を。
ギャレオンが勝手に動くなんて普通じゃない。
間違いなく何かがあるはずだ」
Guy: Captain, give Galeon and I permission to launch. It’s not like him to act on his own like this. There must be something going on.

ブライト
「…どうせこのままではハッチが壊される!
行ってくれ!」
Bright: ...He’s going to destroy the hatch at this rate anyways! Go on, then!

「了解!」
Guy: Roger!

「ガイガーの発進を確認!
ステルスガオーとドッキングして、先行しました!」
Torres: GaiGar take off, confirmed! It’s proceeding to dock with the Stealth Gar!

「艦長、ギャレオンが反応しているってことは…」
Benkei: Captain, if Galeon’s reacting like this, then...

ブライト
「ああ。
ゾンダー絡みである可能性が高い」
Bright: Yes. It’s very likely to have something to do with a Zonder.

ブライト
「総員、第一種戦闘配置!
我々もガイガーの後を追う!」
Bright: All hands, level one battle stations! We’re going after GaiGar as well!

Episode 20
The Crystal that Resides in the Heart


(Scene begins on the map screen of a foggy forest.)

「ねえ…どんどん霧が濃くなってない?」
Hana: Hey... Isn’t the fog getting thicker and thicker?

レイコ
「ちょっとアンタ、
ホントにこのままじっとしてて
大丈夫なんでしょうね!?」
Reiko: You’re not really thinking it’s okay to just keep sitting there, are you!?

数納
「も、もちろんだよ…」
Sunou: O-Of course...

護
(たぶんこれってゾンダーの仕業だ。
けどGGGポケベルも繋がらないし、
どうしたら…)
Mamoru: (This is probably a Zonder’s doing. But the GGG pager won’t even connect, so what can I...?)

(EI-14 appears.)

ゾンダー
「ゾンダアアアアア!!」
Zonder: Zondeeeeer!!

数納
「で、出たあああああーっ!!」
Sunou: L-LOOK WHAT CAME OUUUUT!!

(EI-14 aims at the tile the kids are at.)

末男
「こっちを狙ってるぞ!?」
Sueo: Is it aiming at us!?

護
(もしかしてゾンダーの狙いは…僕!?)
Mamoru: (Could it be that the Zonder’s target is...me!?)

「シルバームーン!!」
???: Silver Moon!!

(Something attacks EI-14 from nearby.)

護
「…!?」
Mamoru: ...!?

(Volfogg appears.)

ボルフォッグ
「ゾンダー、子供たちを襲わせはしません!」
Volfogg: I won’t let you attack these children, Zonder!

数納
「ロボット!?
連邦軍の人たちが助けに来てくれたの!?」
Sunou: A robot!? Are the Federation here to help!?

末男
「違うって!
あれ、政府の秘密組織が造ったロボットだ!
すんげーAIが積まれてて単独で動けるんだってよ!」
Sueo: No! That’s a robot made by a secret government organization! It’s got some serious AI to be able to move on its own like that!

末男
「しかも急に出てくるなんて、
光学迷彩を実用化してるのかよ!」
Sueo: And it used optical camouflage to come out of nowhere!

護
(GGGのロボット?
でも氷竜や炎竜じゃないし…あれは…)
Mamoru: (Is that a GGG robot? But it’s not HyouRyu or EnRyu... So who...?)

(GaoGaiGar appears.)

凱
「やはりこの霧はゾンダーの仕業だったか!」
Guy: I knew it, this fog was the work for a Zonder!

護
「ガオガイガー!」
Mamoru: GaoGaiGar!

ボルフォッグ
「ガオガイガー、なぜこの場所が?
この霧は外部からあらゆる電波やスキャンを
無効化していたはず」
Volfogg: Why are you here, GaoGaiGar? The fog should be blocking all outside communication and disabling external scans.

凱
「ギャレオンが異変に気づいて案内してくれたんだ!」
Guy: Galeon noticed something amiss and led me here!

凱
「ボルフォッグ、お前は子供たちを安全な場所に!」
Guy: Volfogg, you get the kids to somewhere safe!

ボルフォッグ
「わかりました!」
Volfogg: Understood!

護
「みんな、あの紫のロボットについていこう!」
Mamoru: Everyone, follow that purple robot!

華
「う、うん…!」
Hana: O-Okay...!

ゾンダー
「ゾンダアアアアアァ…」
Zonder: Zondeeeeeer...

凱
「ボルフォッグにやられたダメージをもう回復させたか!
だが、護たちの所に行かせはしないぜ!」
Guy: I see you’ve already recovered from the damage Volfogg dealt! However, I will not let you reach Mamoru and the others!

(Battle 1 begins.)

(This exchange triggers when EI-14 receives enough damage or enough turns pass.)

(The 4 battleships appear.)

「見つけたぜ、ガオガイガーだ!」
Eugene: We’ve found GaoGaiGar!

凱
「みんな、来てくれたのか!」
Guy: You’re all here!

弁慶
「あれだけ派手に戦っていれば、
霧の向こう側からでも位置はわかる」
Benkei: You’re pretty easy to find when you fight as flashy as you do, even on the other side of the fog.

ブライト
「これよりゾンダーを撃退する!
機動部隊出撃だ!」
Bright: Drive back the Zonder! Mobile units, launch!

(The player’s team deploys.)

凱
「みんな、あのゾンダーの核は人間だ!
間違っても破壊しないでくれ!」
Guy: Everyone, there’s a human inside the Zonder’s core! No matter what, do not destroy it!

(Battle 1 ends when EI-14 is defeated.)

キラ
「あれが、ゾンダーのコアなのか?」
Kira: Is that the Zonder’s core?

「あとはあれをどうすればいいわけ?」
Mikazuki: What do we do after it shows?

凱
「ああ、そいつは…」
Guy: Right, leave that to—

(Mamoru turns green and flies to the Zonder.)

護
「凱兄ちゃ~ん!」
Mamoru: Guuuy!

大作
「なんごうな! 子供が飛んできた!」
Daisaku: What the!? That kid can fly!

凱
「あの子の名前は天海護。
ゾンダーの核を浄解…
要は人間に戻すことができる力を持っている」
Guy: That boy’s name is Mamoru Amami. He can purify a Zonder’s core. In short, he has the power to turn it back into a human.

(Volfogg appears next to EI-14.)

ボルフォッグ
「そして今はGGGの特別隊員を務めてもらっています」
Volfogg: And now, he works as a special member of GGG.

ロックオン
「ロボットがしゃべってるところを見ると、
あいつもGGGのロボットか」
Lockon: Never seen that robot before. I’m guessing he’s another GGG robot.

凱
「ボルフォッグ、子供たちの避難は終わったのか?」
Guy: Volfogg, did you get the children to safety?

ボルフォッグ
「はい。
それぞれ諜報部のメンバーが、
自宅へ送っている最中です」
Volfogg: Yes, sir. Members of the intelligence division are taking them to their respective homes now.

護
「それで僕だけ、
ボルフォッグと一緒に戻ってきたんだ」
Mamoru: That’s why I’m the only one that came back with Volfogg.

凱
「じゃあ護、頼めるか?」
Guy: Then, Mamoru, if you would?

護
「うん!」
Mamoru: Right!

護
「クーラティオー!」
Mamoru: Curatio!

護
「テネリタース・セクティオー・サルース…
コクトゥーラ!」
Mamoru: Teneritas, sectio, salus... Coctura!

(The screen flashes green.)

ハルト
「ホントに人間に戻った…!」
Haruto: It really did turn back into a human...!

アスカ
「なるほど…。
確かにタダの子供じゃなさそうね」
Asuka: I see... That’s definitely not just some run of the mill kid.

超竜神
「これで浄解完了だな」
ChoRyuJin: Looks like the purification is finished.

(Volfogg detects something.)

ボルフォッグ
「待ってください! 新手です!」
Volfogg: Wait a moment! There’s more of them!

(Several EI-02’s appear.)

凱
「くっ、囲まれているだと!?」
Guy: Agh, we’re surrounded!?


(Scene ends.)

(Next scene picks up where it left off.)

「あれもゾンダーか?」
Setsuna: Are those Zonders as well?

凱
「そうだ!
ゾンダーめ、護が浄解したタイミングに合わせて、
新手をぶつけてきやがった!」
Guy: That’s right! Those blasted Zonders waited for Mamoru to use Purification, then hit us with another wave of enemies!

シズノ
「狙いはその少年なのね」
Shizuno: They seem to be after the young boy.

護
「さっきのと感じが違う…!
誰かがゾンダーにされたわけじゃないよ!」
Mamoru: This feels different than before...! There’s no one inside these Zonders!

宗介
「ならば手加減は不要だな…!」
Sousuke: In that case, we won’t need to take it easy on them...!

ボルフォッグ
「皆さん、私は護隊員を護衛します!
ゾンダーの相手は頼みました!」
Volfogg: Everyone, I’ll protect Special Agent Mamoru! Please handle the Zonders!

凱
「ああ、そっちも護のことを頼んだぜ!」
Guy: Right, we’ll leave Mamoru to you!

(Volfogg leaves the map. Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

「全ゾンダーの撃破を確認!」
Torres: Destruction of all Zonders, confirmed!

ブライト
「霧の方も晴れ始めてきたな。
これで一件落着か」
Bright: The fog is beginning to dissipate. Looks like we’re done here.

凱
「いるか、ボルフォッグ?」
Guy: Are you there, Volfogg?

ボルフォッグ
「はい、ガオガイガー。
護隊員も無事です」
Volfogg: Yes, GaoGaiGar. Special Agent Mamoru is safe as well.

凱
「今回はお前がいなかったら、
護や護の友達が危ないところだった。
礼を言うぜ」
Guy: If you weren’t here, Mamoru and his friends would have been in danger today. You have my thanks.

護
「ありがとう、ボルフォッグ。
ずっと僕を守ってくれてたんだね」
Mamoru: Thank you, Volfogg. I guess you’ve been protecting me the whole time.

ボルフォッグ
「礼には及びません。
それが私の任務ですから」
Volfogg: There’s no need for thanks. I was only fulfilling my mission.

ボルフォッグ
「…ただそれとは別に、
今回の戦闘では予想外の有益な情報を
入手できました」
Volfogg: ...Putting that aside, this battle has provided us with some unexpectedly useful information.

「情報だと…?」
Guy: Information, you say...?

ボルフォッグ
「それはまた後ほど。
今はこの場から引きあげましょう」
Volfogg: We’ll get to that later. For now, let’s depart from this place.

「よし、状況終了だ!
各機帰還してくれ!」
Bright: Alright, we’ve handled the situation! All units, return to the ship!

(All ally units leave the map.)

「ガオガイガー…
この霧に覆われた中でも、
あの子供の居場所を突き止めるとは…」
Pizza: GaoGaiGar... To think you would determine the child’s whereabouts, even in the midst of this fog...

「カインの遺産と、
カインの造りし破壊マシン。
あのふたつの結びつき、侮り難いか…」
Pizza: Cain’s legacy and the destruction machine he created. The link between those two is not to be taken lightly...

Guy: Allow me to reintroduce my colleague here. This is Volfogg, from GGG’s intelligence division.

ボルフォッグ
「皆さん、お初にお目にかかります」
Volfogg: It’s a pleasure to meet you all.

甲児
「へえ…氷竜や炎竜以外にも、
超AI搭載型のロボットがいたんだな」
Koji: Huh... So there were other robots equipped with super AI besides HyouRyu and EnRyu.

「僕たちのような機動部隊所属と違って、
ボルフォッグは諜報活動などがメインですからね」
EnRyu: Unlike us members of the mechanized unit, Volfogg’s duties mainly involve espionage and things of that nature.

「それで今回はあの子の護衛をしてたのね」
Kei: So this time you were on bodyguard duty.

ボルフォッグ
「ええ。
敵が護隊員を狙ってくる可能性は
充分ありましたから」
Volfogg: Yes, as there was a reasonable possibility that Special Agent Mamoru would have been targeted by the enemy.

ボルフォッグ
「ただ、敵がここまで
手の込んだ作戦を打ってくるとは、
思いませんでしたが」
Volfogg: However, I didn’t expect the enemy to employ such an elaborate strategy.

アムロ
「ゾンダーも作戦が
巧妙になりつつあるようだな」
Amuro: The Zonder’s tactics seem to be growing more clever.

護
「…僕のせいで華ちゃんたちを巻き込んじゃった。
僕がみんなと遊びに行きたいなんて思わなければ」
Mamoru: ...It was my fault Hana and the others got wrapped up in this. If I just didn’t go out to play with everyone...

ボルフォッグ
「悪いのは護隊員ではありません。
どうか落ち込まないでください」
Volfogg: It’s not your fault, Special Agent Mamoru. Please, don’t be discouraged.

「うん…ありがとう」
Mamoru: Okay... Thank you.

「…ところでボルフォッグ、
さっき言っていた有益な情報とは、
あれのことか?」
Guy: ...By the way, Volfogg, what was that useful information you mentioned before?

ボルフォッグ
「はい。
ゾンダーの活動活発化により、
素粒子Z0を放出することが判明しました」
Volfogg: Right. I was able to verify that when Zonders increase in activity, Elementary Particle Z0 is released.

「素粒子Z0ですって!?」
Kosuke: You said Elementary Particle Z0!?

「知ってるのかよ、小介?」
Ryoma: You know what that is, Kosuke?

「本来この地球上では観測されないはずの粒子です。
先程の言葉から、それはこちらの世界でも同様かと」
Kosuke: It’s a particle that doesn’t exist on Earth naturally. From what he was saying, I assumed that applies to this world as much as ours.

ボルフォッグ
「その通りですが、
回収したゾンダーメタルを分析している最中に
素粒子Z0が検出されたのです」
Volfogg: That’s correct, but while running an analysis on the recovered Zonder Metal, we detected Elementary Particle Z0.

ボルフォッグ
「その結果から、我々GGGの獅子王博士は、
ゾンダーが活動活発化することにより、
素粒子Z0 を放出する仮説を立てられました」
Volfogg: As a result, GGG’s Dr. Shishioh, hypothesized that when a Zonder becomes more active, it causes Elementary Particle Z0 to be released.

「今回ボルフォッグは、
戦闘活動中のゾンダーを観測する役目も
担っていたのです」
HyouRyu: Volfogg had another objective this time. To monitor the Zonder’s activity during the battle.

Kamille: It’s like a pandemic...

「アムロ大尉、俺たちは
このまま護やディドたちとGGGに行き、
長官たちにこの情報を伝えてきます」
Guy: Lieutenant Amuro. Myself, Mamoru, Dido, and the others will go to GGG to report this information to the Chief and his staff.

アムロ
「わかった。
ブライトたちには俺の方から伝えておく。
GGGには対策を期待している」
Amuro: Alright. I’ll let Bright and the others know. I’m hoping GGG will take some sort of countermeasure.

凱
「ええ、必ず」
