[10:38] Reiko meanders from open mine door to open mine door, looking for ore despite her rather tired state. A soft sigh hits the air as all she sees here is the usual local Blazard. She turns about, and realizes now she is not the only one in here.

". . .Hey."

Reiko says, her tone staying calm despite being caught in surprise. her two-toned eyes dart up Yoshiko's form a few times, taking quick note that she was in front of a fellow Kitsune.

A soft smirk now addresses Reiko's features.

Yoshiko's blue eyes rests on her kin. One she hasn't seen in quite the while. One who appeared to have the Barsburg uniform on. It was quite awkward to always see them prowling around but it was also disappointing to see so many of her kin following under this...

"... Been awhile since I've seen you, dear. What does this appear to be.. A barsburg uniform? It pains me to see all of Jiuweihu's children following such a path. And none seem to even know she exists until I tell them.

Tell me... are you the same?" she inquires, unlike one Kitsune she's met. Reito has probably never felt what it was like to grasp Jiuweihu's light.

[10:50] Reiko's head slowly tilts, did she ever meet this one? It would have been years if so, as the Barsburgian Kitsune was quite stuck in her own little path of life. Her tall vulpine ears twitch at Yoshiko's words, interested but confused in the same degrees.

". . . I guess I am, don't know a Jiuweihu at all. Then again, I wasn't even raised by Kitsunes, Sooooo. . . I ain't gotta' lotta' culture there."

Reiko then shrugs rather nonchalantly at the matter. Yet, she had that interest still. Years ago, when she was a child, she wanted to know more about that Kitsune culture. Yet, now she had her own life, her own path, those standards to be raised.

"Is. . . Jiuweihu like tha' Asena for us Kitsune?" Reiko asks as the simple gears click together, an act of comparison of one deity she barely knew of to another.

[11:00] There was a sway of the Fox's tail and with said sway there was a flicker of glowing light that shed off of their hair upon it. Yoshiko honestly expected this seeing as Barsburg only filled their minds with other information. She did not blame her kin whatsoever.

She did not blame anyone as a matter of fact.

"I suppose... that's a fair point."

Yoshiko examines their frame. Taking a glance at their ears and tail mostly to see how different they were to her own. She did this for every other kitsune and it was an easy way to see how they treated themselves and what they went through. But it was more important to speak about their religion. Or rather, the deity that blessed them all.

"Asena? I suppose you can say she's a Goddess dedicated to Kitsune. But you don't necessarily have to be one to accept her embrace.. Kitsune just have priority," she explains. She looked up before returning her attention to the fox with a deadpanned expression resting on her mien.

"Every kitsune that I meet from Barsburg usually scurries away when I ask them to talk to me in my shrine.. Of course, I would not dare my own kin and let you go freely after we had a bit of a conversation.

Will you do the same? Engage in combat with me and then attempt to flee when you are defeated?" she questions.

[11:10] Reiko twitches her ears and flicks her tail at that subtle examination. What Yoshiko would see is overly-fluffed and well groomed fur, preserved by the slightest hint of frost magic in the hot air.

She hears Yoshiko explain about other Barsbugian Kitsune's, to which, Reiko would only cock an eyebrow. She honestly saw so many faces in the machine, much of the Kitsune ones get buried underneath the masses. Quite a sad thought to be fair.

"Lady, ya' just talkin' with me and ya' seem like ya' ain't wantin' trouble. I got no reason to engage in any fight with ya'. Now, if ya' do start causin' trouble, It's my job ta' step in, so tha' minimal amount of damage is done ta' anyone."

Reiko would say with a slight adjustment of her cap, it seemed to always be getting knocked loose by her own vulpine ears. Her two toned eyes once again scoured the woman, looking for signs that she might make a move after mentioning combat.

This violet haired Kitsune was usually never the one to draw first.

[11:19] Good to see Yoshiko wasn't the only Kitsune that kept her fur on her tail and the hair on her ears maintained and groomed. It made them appear elegant and one to be respected. At least that's how it was for Yoshiko.

But hearing their response did not change the expression that Yoshiko held. Or did it? It caused her to release a light chortle from her lips only for it to last a second or two and rest those gloomy ocean eyes on her fellow kin.

"I do not engage in battle unless I'm provoked. You need not worry about having to draw your weapon in defense.. I'm quite kind and reasonable, you know..?" Yoshiko makes a quiet step closer. "I'm just use to being drawn at first... No one seems to trust me when I offer a small moment to converse. Does... my glow not seem welcoming enough?" the Taiyang inquires, letting the dimmed glowing luminescent around her shine a bit brighter more.

"But either way... Would you like to know more about her light? The embrace that she offers and will give to one dedicated enough? Not only that.. she's fairly forgiving."

[11:28] A smile now is expressed on Reiko's features as she hears that nobody is here for a fight. The Kitsune would need a proper reason to strike anybody who just wanted to engage with words, and it only made since to be friendly to someone who only wanted to speak.

Reiko's eyes cautiously watched the step closer, but not entirely with the intent to draw. She was just curious how Yoshiko would display herself, actions spoke louder than words. That light shines around Yoshiko and the Kitsune only cocks an eyebrow at it. It was intriguing, pulling at the curiosity that she always had.

"Sure, I'm always willin' ta' learn new things."

Things that once she desperately wanted to know. A younger Reiko once wanted to know all about this Jiuweihu, to delve into her heritage she lost. But, now the Kitsune had many goals, plans of her own, her own settled life. Reiko's main interest here was just to feed that curiosity, brought forth by a soft glow and inviting words.

Yoshiko now held a short smile that was now expressed. With eyes shrouded by eyelids, Yoshiko turns to face the exit of the cave. "It's quite.... cold and damp in here," she comments, looking around the ceiling and walls of the cave. It was not a place she'd deem worthy of conversing at all.

"... Follow me if you will, dear. We'll talk in the comfort of my shrine. Again, you will not be harmed by me or anyone that we encounter. I would not allow such to happen to one of my own." The Illuminated sways her tail a single time before glancing back at Reito, awaiting her answer.

[11:38] Yoshiko Taiyang says, "There's three rooms that are in here. I didn't expect them to be rented without my knowing..."

Yoshiko's tome involuntarily floats onto the table and glowed slightly as the runes on its cover flashed at slow intervals. Much like one breathing that appeared to match with Yoshiko's. After all, the tome and the fox were connected by a flaming thread of mana.

"Dear... It is my duty to protect and eradicate all evil and darkness that want to shroud this realm. Of course, it is also my duty to spread Jiuweihu's light to everyone and anyone who wishes to grasp it.

My first question is..." she crosses a leg over the other and leans a bit back in her chair. "What is your duty in life?"

[12:14] Reiko's eyes widen and her ears perk straight up on hearing the names of the Therians that live here. They were names she knew very well, names that she has had years to know. Silence alongside a light expression of shock stay on the Kitsune's features until Yoshiko breaks it with a question.

"My duty? I. . . gotta' lotta' them ta' be honest. First I have a duty ta' my family and friends. They give me purpose, a purpose to be all I can be. Second, is duty to my own goals, which usually is aiding those I care for. . . usually. I got my own vices here and there."

Reiko then taps her chin idly with her finger, going back to that expression of deep thought. Those names popped up once again in her head, and this time, she addressed her own surprised expression with a smirk.

"I mean. . .that is my main two duties. Do what I can for who I care, and take care of myself cause otha's care. Simple but its lead me down such a great path in life. . . That and ya' got my adopted mom and dad livin' here apparently. . . So that is anotha' interestin' path I need ta' see."

[12:33] The tome had been open. Yoshiko's soft touch went through page by page, skimming through the contents, and listening to Reiko's words on her duties. Her goals and vices. They were all nice to listen to and was expected from someone of her kin.

"That's good to hear. As I also do the same. I'll do anything to make sure my husband is in safe's arms. He'd do the same for me naturally. My sister Anastasia is very protective.

So there is a lot in common that you can see." Yoshiko was beginning to think this was starting off at a swell pace. They had the right path to think of and there was nothing that didn't follow the three Illuminated tenets. It was all just what the kitsune wanted to hear.

"Oh..? So those two are your adoptive mother and father. I see... Then I suppose you can go see them after we're done here." Yoshiko leans forward in her chair and rests her elbows on the mahogany table whileletting her chin sit at the back of her hands. She stared deeply at Reiko with gleaming blue eyes and a glowing outline.

"Jiuweihu finds your current path a beautiful one.. Just the type she's expecting her child to be following. And if you continue, she will be happy with your efforts. But of course... you can better your efforts by going through a set amount of trials to acquire her blessing and be protective of others tenfold while also protecting yourself," Yoshiko explains. There was a lot to learn but Yoshiko would give her kin the gist of it.

"Would you like a demonstration of what that is, dear?"

[12:47] Perhaps they were common to many. Reiko knew quite a few that were not Kitsune, yet followed this same path. The room felt formal, yet the setting seemed nice, a strange balance was just held in the room to make the Kitsune feel comfortable, but not too settled in.

Reiko just giggled at the fact a deity might find her path a beautiful one. A strange deity that must have watched over the Kitsune and her drunken nights and strange life. Yet, if one deity could watch over that and not look down with that shameful look, it would just allow her to respect them more.

"A beautiful one 'eh? If this blessing can be used ta' protect those I care for. . . then I suppose there is no harm in gettin' a demonstration. I'll admit. . . Jiuweihu sounds a lot more invitin' than what I heard about Asena. Asena seems to have offended my Razuka friends."

Asena's unsightly brood. The words ring in their mind as the insult is ever present. It made Reiko have little respect for the wolf like deity that many would refer to when insulting her closest friends.

Reiko would then roll her jaw ever so lightly while maintaining her curious observation, awaiting for the demonstration that was offered.

[13:15] "Razuka are... different. That's all I will say." It wasn't something that Yoshiko was being harsh on. It was just the kindest opinion she could come up with. Every encounter she's come upon with a Razuka was never good. She didn't count Twilly but the others like Misha and Bolt were just weirdly uncomfortable for her.

But! That didn't exactly matter right now. There was something much better to focus on and that was showing Reiko the showcase of what it meant to gather a true blessing from their set deity. Yoshiko wanted to make it clear that it wasn't exactly easy getting to this point.

Especially since she's had to go through the hardships of setting foot on a really tall mountain and doing the final trials of her rituals to finally grasp the approval of Jiuweihu.

It took sometime but it was definitely worth it in the end. Now it was time to show Reiko what Yoshiko meant by all this. He words could only show so much with the detail that it offered. But the visual experience was where Yoshiko could definitely shine.

It was quiet in the room for the moment. The only ambience heard was the soft sizzling sound of the incense in the corner of the room. The leaves brushing against each other as the slight air and wind gathered within the room. It was peaceful. Just the way Yoshiko liked it.

Soon, Yoshiko would lean back and sit straight in her chair. The temperature around her gradually rising as the glow around her frame began to gain brightness. Like a ray of sun she was, the glow of Jiuweihu that she possessed. But the light wasn't blinding and the heat wasn't uncomfortable. It felt familiar to Reiko even though she hasn't ever seen this. The feeling of a warm embrace.

".. This is what you could hold if I taught you how. I'd like to pass on the same teachings to the unexperienced kitsune. Sadly, I feel as if they do not wish to. But... you're different."

[13:36] Reiko would just stare in that delighted sense of curiosity fulfilled. Yoshiko was lighting up the room as the sun itself, yet it was not harsh, it was as if she was looking at the sun through layers of her own ice magic. It was a soothing sight.

Reiko could possess that? The same blessings, the same teachings of deity she never knew even the name of until just recently, that knowledge becoming accessible.

Yet, there were boundaries in her own paths, her own goals, it was tempting, but there was much already in Reiko's path.

"I'm different 'eh?. . . Well I always knew that much, but ta' get a gift like that, whateva' ya' shinin' blessin' is. . . Would Jiuweihu take a cog of tha' machine?"

Reiko had her determination to become more Barsburgian, it was for her own current goals. If the Kitsune deity was accepting of the fact that Reiko was Barsburgian, it could be possible, but with her family and friends inside the machine, she could not turn away from it to obtain some divine glow.

"I neva' been a woman of faith. . . Not really in my core ta' be one. I guess tha' feelin' of just having that oppressin' force, makin' ya' feel insignificant. But. . . if Jiuweihu is willin' ta' take me as I am, I'm always lookin' ta' improve myself. I have ta', in orda' to protect what I care for."

Then Reiko would go back to reclining in her seat, enjoying what was left of the warm light that Yoshiko showed. The Barsburgian Kitsune's answer was not a no here, but with such burdens she already had, she felt as if obtaining that light would now just be a boundary, rather than a goal to strive for.

[13:58] Yoshiko dims the light that was exposed in the room. Causing the Taiyang to become less of a light source and return the room to how it was before. It didn't strain her body or hurt at all surprisingly. It was a peaceful feeling at all times and didn't give her any trouble from the looks of it.

But the fox wondered what Reiko was thinking. Were they interested? Everyone who saw that glow was but Reiko was again, different from what Yoshiko has seen. They appeared interested but they also questioned it.

Yoshiko was definitely looking for someone of her caliber. A curious kitsune were always the ones with the most perception.

"To get a gift like this is the most welcoming... But remember what I said before, dear. Jiuweihu is all forgiving. It just takes one to understand how someone came to do such a certain thing.

She only wishes you to follow the tenets that she left to us and not harm unless in view of protection." Yoshiko wasn't entirely sure what the machine was. Each Barsburgian spoke about it and Yoshiko was less acknowledged of its existence. Maybe she'd find out soon.

For now, it was time to get to the more important part in this conversation they were having.

"Not everyone starts off faithful.. One can become so if dedicated. Even then, you don't always have to be one of faith.

But of course, Jiuweihu will kindly forgive you, her child, for any sins you commit. Especially if you apologize to her directly by embracing yourself in her light. However, it appears to me that you're interested in learning this type of thing.. If that's the case, you can be my apprentice and I will teach you how to follow in my footsteps, dear."

It didn't matter whether or not Reiko was a Barsburgian or not. Not even Yoshiko cared all that much where her allegiance stood. It was just a matter if she wanted to go through with it or not.

But Yoshiko's ears twitch at the sound of the door being knocked from outside. She glances over Reiko and begins to slowly stand from her seat. "...Hm, I wonder who that could be. Give me one moment dear while I let you think on that."

[14:02] Yoshiko Taiyang asks, "Did you knock on my door, dear?"
[14:02] A tilt of his head to the side while he had his legs - removed by the knees and calves were hanging on to the edges of the chair. His hands, however, in his pocket as he goes to retrieve a single note from his side and hold it up with his index and thumbs upon the Kitsune coming out.

Avery doesn't look at her; however, it was more than enough to get the request said and done.

"Easier to save money if you give it to the Highlord's wife, yes?"

[14:03] The mention of being the High Lord's wife put a smile to the kitsune's mien as she takes and receives the paper. It appeared it was for Alexios from what Yoshiko assumed. But with this, she'd take a glance before handing it off to her husband.

It contains the name of every captain, general, and lieutenants that are there as well as the recent actions they're doing."

He focuses on the holes of his metal legs, only removing the old knives and replacing them with proper, cleaner knives for the just in case. With every movement he did, slight scratches would come on his finger tips before being stitched together by blood magic and a thread.

Soon afterwards, he would go and reattach the legs properly and go with a grunt.

"They still have one prisoner there; Cecilia, another high rank official that needs to be saved."

This was certainly information that would assist them to high degree. With all these names, Yoshiko could look out for them when she roamed the lands. Some of the names printed were recognizable.

"I will make sure they get released with an efficient plan. Now... is that all that you need from me?"

There was a lot that he could want, and a lot more that he could use in general. However, his eyes would finally focus on the Kitsune with the radiance being something to worry about.

Then again, it was something that came from those that were illuminated in general.

"If it's possible; I could use a weapon for when it comes time to bringing in the generals and everyone else in that wish to take over.

If you have one, of course."

Money was something that he could consider later, but it was needed for him to further advance up the ranks for his 'other plan' to finish them.

"Otherwise, can you tell your followers not to attack me?"

[14:19] Jiuweihu will forgive. The words burn a strange sense of welcoming to it, yet at the same time a sense of repulsiveness. It was much like this place, a strange in-between where Reiko found peace and unease at the same time. A direct sense of uncertainty.

As Yoshiko left, Reiko was given her time to think, and there was much to think on. This was a religion of sorts, something not of full interest to her, yet the one before her said Jiuweihu can forgive that, allowing her to be that strange in-between once again.

Reiko's own curiosity was consuming, she wanted to know more, she wanted to delve into what this could lead to. That blessed glow could be used for so much. It could be used to aid and protect those she cared for, but on the same note, there were things she had to delve into that were less favorable.

Reiko was born and raised in Esshar, but now part of the machine, and considering herself to be such. She was Barsburgian, a cog in the machine that clicked and grinded to do its part, so her own family and friends could be aided by her work. Yet, could Jiuweihu truly help if her metal bonds grinded in a way that broke these tenants?

That indecisiveness would be an end to her own mind if she allowed it. Hearing more and more only added more curiosity to the cause. A soft upset sigh hits the air. Dedication to many, was not something she could push right now.

Once Yoshiko returned she would immediately speak her decision.

"I want ta' learn. . . but I can't toss myself fully in this yet. I love ta' be a Kitsune of my word, but even I know we can all make bad promises."

Reiko would adjust her hat at this moment then, feeling it get off center by the own curious twitches of her ears. She did not want to fully deny what was presented before her though. Her own curiosity simply did not let her.

"If ya' are willin' though, I would still like ta' learn more. . . I just can't dedicate. I got too much right now ta' fully toss myself in that light yet. I'm hopin' I can get a good feel and understandin' of it with time though."

[14:32] The exchange was more than favorable and as Yoshiko stepped into the room where she was prior, the paper she was given would be set inside the tome and closed for her to give to someone else later.

But as Yoshiko sat down, she was delivered the decision that Reiko came up with. Her head nodded at a slow pace making sure she understood every part of the girl's answer. Honestly? Yoshiko was content with this. She wanted to learn more and was more than happy to do so. There didn't need to be dedication in it. Yoshiko was satisfied to teach someone else.

"Hmm.. That's a fair answer. I can cope with what you said and I can respect your wishes. So.. of course, I will do as you wish and let you learn more from me. Once you think you are ready to go through it all, you may do so. Of course.. when you're more comfortable."

Yoshiko leans in her chair and felt a bit more relaxed within her office. The fox smiled a bit cutely with her tail resting on her lap while Yoshiko combed her fingers through the fluff.

"If you don't mind.. I'd like to know more about Barsburg. Just so I can get an understanding from your point of view... That is what Jiuweihu would want me to do. That's if you would, though. I won't force you.." she adds, cleaning up her desk.

"But, I think we can conclude our conversation here unless you have something else to tell me. I do wish you a safe travel home and if you'd like, I can personally escort you to the bridge when you can go home without trouble.

Oh, and if you could do me the favor of telling certain black-haired, red-haired, and grey-haired kitsunes to come seek me out, that'd be nice..."

[14:39] Reiko nods, smiling that nothing here was forced or brought down like a gavel of judgement. The exchange was nice, the words were intriguing, and there was still much to consider.

"I'll be sure ta' talk ta' ya' when I can then. . .Oh, names Reiko by tha' way." She says while rising herself up to a stand.

"I can walk myself back ova' ta' Osrona. Thank ya' for havin' me, and thank ya' for tha' words. I'll let any Kitsune's know of ya'."

Regardless of the specific colors mentioned just now. Black, red, grey, strange color choices in particular, but not one Reiko would concern herself with.

Then, with a click of her boots, she would be ready to head off if the wise Kitsune had nothing more to say.
