An introduction to Aerilon

WHAT IS AN AERILON:
Aerilon is a city located in the very North of the US, near the Canadian border. Almost entirely sealed off from outside contact, it's filled to the brim with murderers, psychopaths, monsters, demons, undead, aliens, beasts, and, generally, anything you can come up with. While getting in is hardly an issue, getting out again proves to be quite a bit of trouble. The outskirts of the area are filled with monsters prepared to devour any mere mortal that would dare wander too far, while the military stands by, ready to hunt down any weaker anomalous creatures trying to get out. Only those who appear to be human while still emanating power are able to leave the town if they so wish.

WHERE AT:
Aerilon is a relatively large town/small city, surrounded by thick woodlands, stretching on for several kilometers in every direction. The outskirts of the town itself, with rare exceptions, are an incredibly dangerous place for most, and the woods are that much worse.
The forest has varying locales around it, with hills stretching out to the East and West after a while. Several small rivers flow through the woods, and there are several lakes scattered around.

FORCES TO BE RECKONED WITH. OR NOT. I'M A PASTEBIN ENTRY, NOT A PAROLE OFFICER:
The ASD - The Anti-Supernatural Department (ASD) are a small, private military created in 2014. Their forces consist of a few hundred soldiers, all highly trained and an armoury consisting of light and heavy weapons as well as light armoured vehicles and APCs. As well as all of this, they have Agent Spero, the survivor of the Titan Project. Spero is a superhuman with a mixture of human and Supernatural DNA and he has over a hundred confirmed Supernatural kills. (Run by Kaelam)

Aerilon Government - Aerilon's government consists of several government officials and one mayor, who all reside in Aerilon's town hall, which is under heavy protection by ASD and military personnel. The mayor's identity is hidden from the public to keep him or her safe from not only the citizens, but also the supernatural creatures. (Run By Kaelam)

USAMAA - The United States Anti Magic and Anomaly Agency. A secret US government organization designed to deal with any and all anomalies, with a circling rumor of a secretive 'higher purpose' making certain other agencies rather uneasy. After their failure with 'Division Aerilon', they are currently not actively involved in Aerilon. Presumed to have forces stationed near the outskirts, though. (Run by Walter)

IAF - Independant Aerilon Forces. A group started by one Gacko Flame, it is an Aerilon-based entity founded on the idea that the regular citizens of the town should have all the protection they can get. As such, a safe haven was created in the middle of Aerilon, referred to as 'The Club'. Anyone can come there for a free meal and rest, or, at night, to have a good time. No violence is allowed in the club to keep the patrons safe, and the place is heavily guarded and warded off from magic. The IAF is currently led by Leonard Castello. (Run by Walter)

The Kinosan Organization - The Kinosans are a mysterious bunch indeed. Nobody is certain of who their leaders are, or what are their exact methods, but they pump out a lot of top tier, highly skilled troops used in recon, surveillance, assassination, special operations and secret service. But, due to the Kinosan creed, no Kinosan is allowed to face another Kinosan in combat. As such, even though the Kinosans are sold to various militaries around the world, they are usually not actively deployed in wars to avoid just that. (Run by Walter. Morspallidum's forces - Morspallidum (The Deathghoul) was an eldritch being from another dimension, which had been long destroyed. Having earned immortality and created his own realm from scratch, he sought to take over the world. Now that he's gone MIA in his old realm, his forces are in shambles, splintering groups and factions forming left and right. If nothing is done, the forces might end up at war with themselves, choosing Aerilon as their battleground. (Run by Walter)

LOCATIONS:
THE CLUB - A safe haven for all. Has a dance floor, a bar, and plenty of room for rest and shelter. Lets in all creatures, regardless of their abilities. The place is heavily guarded and warded from magic, and all violence inside is prohibited.

Riley's store - Living in an alley behind [Building], a hobo named Riley resides in a footed bathtub, hidden behind a dumpster lovingly named “Riley's shop of Wonders”. The “ store” is brightly decorated in graffiti from over the years, selling a variety of things that the bum ‘acquired’. Which means items they either scavenged from the trash, or odd commodities that had been regurgitated. Prices vary from the usual paper currency to chickens, bagels, a joke, a dance, to the bottled screams of a nightmare. (Run by Riley)

Tuna's shop - A simple little shop that sells various trinkets and others objects. The interior is pretty plain, with shelves stacked full of merchandise. The outside looks like a normal building, white painting, with a sign saying "Godly wonders! Come in and find what you need." The place sells mostly anything you can think of. (Run by Tuna)

"Raven's Cry" - A bar on the Southern side of town. Home to many a brawl and shenanigan, it is known among patrons as 'the pub that just won't die'. Manages to stay afloat as a business even though it gets destroyed every so often. (Half-run by Walter, but anyone's game)

Red Light District - As one would expect of Aerilon, the sex industry strives in all sorts of ways. Still, one definitely needs to be incredibly cautious about using such services. You're less likely to catch an STI, but the chances of getting brain parasites or accidentally selling your soul to the devil are at least twice as high as elsewhere in the world. (Anyone's game)

The Aerilon Times: - A local news station which provides details on the latest events in Aerilon via short-range broadcast of television and radio signals, and a weekly newspaper that you can get printed on demand. They often will put out strange things, like TV-specific broadcasts or papers where they will talk directly to a viewer, and occasionally they have prophecies as well. (I forget. Fuck.)

Lightman Fabrics and Art Studio - Run by sisters Elizabeth (the DollMaker) and (Pretty) Katherine Lightman, it’s a three story building complex outside of the Red Light District. The first floor is Lizzy’s Fabrics, containing everything you need to know about scrapbooking, sewing, quilting, anything that involves a needle, thread, and some felt. In her office she makes private commissions, as well as hidden staircases and tunnels that lead to the family’s old home underground. A staircase will lead to the second floor, Katherine’s Workshop. She is the go-to person for canvases and art. Using only the finest quality of naturally found resources, she gives out art and lessons for reasonable prices.
