WARNING!!! DO NOT PLAY WITH VSR STRAT PLAYERS!!!!!
I'm not just saying this to promote my mod. Retaliation, which by the way is a 1000000 times better mod. I'm saying this because these are horrible, horrible people. I made the mod for them, for strat players to play. They didn't even give it a chance. They just immediately turned it down because it was made my me, and it's cool to hate people like me there. They haven't even tried it. If they did they would know. They have abused me for years, and I only took it because I wanted to play the game, and whatever they did, they always made me out to look like the bad guy in the end. It's been hard but I have finally managed to distance myself from them because of my addiction to BZ2. Retaliation might not have a big player base but we are building it up slowly. The more people turn away from VSR the better and the game might become a better place for all in the process.

Not only this but they have scared away THOUSANDS of new players with their bad mouthing and toxicity. If you don't do something 100% perfectly, they will throw a tantrum and ban you from the game. They even went into countless of MPI Games and trolled them by killing their Recycler or rushing Enemy Recycler immediately. Why did they do this? Because they view themselves as being "superior" to MPI Players because they play Strat. I don't know if you guys remember back in 1.2 the "vet strats" and things like that but these are the same people that would say "known nicks or get out" and kick all new players from the game to get other "vets" to join the game. Yes there are some decent people in the mix but Sly, Snake, Cloaket, BB, etc will bully you and they will not step in and do anything. So in a way they are just as bad.

You thought CS:GO had a toxic community? Try VSR Strats. It's horrible. A toxic wasteland with not a kind soul in sight. There always needs to be someone to pick on, and if you join their game it might be you. Please heed my warning. I can't stress this enough and I could write 30 pages about this if I keep going.

STAY OUT OF VSR STRAT GAMES FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting theory, however I notice alot new players joining VSR games.

Yes people rage quit, I myself being one of them.
You're basically using the title saying "VSR PLAYERS" are the problem.

Then you go on to say no actually it's just a handful of players.

Then you claim the mod itself is the problem.
Alot of polish is being put in to VSR and tey will have the NEW HADEAN race.

Unfortunately retaliation WILL NOT contain the NEW HADEAN race, as I can se what kind of person you are, I don't want to work with you if this is how you're going to attack other peoples mods and hard work, because your emotions are out of control and you can't get over your own ego...relaly this all boils down to your ego deuling with the players you mentioned, and it's just toxic at this point.

It's really sad, because all you're doing is pushing more people away with a post like this.
I doubt even 50 players were pushed away in the proposed manner.
How is this proven? It seems patently untrue.

VSR was made with love.
Retaliation was made as revenge.
You continuosly use VSR as the standard to beat, so you must secretly like the mod...
Either way it's like compring apples to oranges, a fruitless endeavour, no pun intended.

There's a reason VSR has a bigger player base...

Guys. This is a game. If you lads don't want people to join in, put passwords on your MPIs, VSR's or what ever and share them with people you know. Save people the trouble, eh?

Furthermore saying out loud in the game chat "Known nicks or kick" and simply joining other games that isn't your chosen gamemode to cause practical mayhem for self-entertainment purposes is just really, *really* dumb. Practically borderline ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. We're not in 2009 anymore.

Battlezone's community hasn't got room for this let alone the Steam threads. Either play the game passworded with people you prefer, or leave it open for other people to play. Things like these can get out of hand real fast and it'll affect more than just those involved but also the average player.

I get that people don't like when someone "brings drama and misconduct" but please, hear me out.

The "vets" haven't changed one bit. To this day they are still kicking and banning people from their games even vets and the community literally consist of about 15 active players, like what are they thinking? How can they expect their game to survive and thrive like this? There's a reason there's only one vet strat up at a time. More and more people are quitting the game due to being kicked/banned or just the sheer toxicity.

They cry about there never being any games up, but they fail to see that they are the ones that have brought this upon their selves, by kicking, banning, downtalking, humiliating, and scaring off potential players for ALMOST TWO DECADES all because they were "new" and their awful superiority complex. They say they love the game, but their actions show otherwise. They like to think that they are the "good guys" and might have everybody fooled, they try to convince people that everyone else is the problem. But I won't stand for it, I know their dirty little secrets and I want them to pay for their crime. For what they did to people, how they treated newcomers and literally shot themselves in the foot, all because of their huge egos. They killed the game. There's a reason nobody plays anymore. The worst part is they are still doing it to this day and have been for 15 years.

They wanted more players, but here they are still kicking new players from their games. For ridiculously petty reasons such as "he got banned because some other vet told me to". It's freaking absurd. They never learn and they won't change, even though I have tried and tried to make them. I created Retaliation to spread positivity, but being that they are drawn to negativity they won't even try it. It's a sad, sad time and the game has hit rock bottom. How is it possible that the strat community has the exact same playerbase as before BZCC came out after? I will tell you how, because they SCARED OFF NEW PLAYERS EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID THEY WOULDN'T and it's a freaking disgrace. I cannot think of ONE new player that has been trained from top to toe since the remaster. They ruined their chance, the chance of this game's revival. Yet here they are being praised, alongside their mod. I know there are people out there who agree with me and know what I'm talking about.

Fret not, because if eventually everyone interested in the strat scene is to move to Retaliation, the game can potentially be saved and players can return. This requires an effort from you, the players though. I ask of you just please, PLEASE make an effort to keep this game alive.

Every story has two sides, especially ones like this. The other side of the story is that it's just you that's routinely getting kicked and banned - because of the behaviour we've seen more than enough of in this thread - and that on the rare occasion that new players are kicked it's usually because they joined after teams are picked because the host forgot to lock the game.

Aaand here's the last bit. You're starting to look like you're creating this whole conflict for the sake of promoting Retaliation, and honestly I can see why people think that. Maybe try to separate the two. Stop promoting Retaliation as a replacement for VSR and let it stand on its own right, separate it from this conflict and comparison with other mods and let it be its own thing. A good mod will do better as a result; a bad mod would do worse. Put your money where your mouth is and prove Retaliation is as good as you say by letting it thrive as its own thing, out of the shadow of this bloody mess.

To be clear, VSR players are NOT kicking new players. This is a myth echoing from the 1.2 days where there were so many people playing that, in order to get a "better" player into the game, the lowest-leveled player would be kicked out. In come cases, known vet or not.

This has not been the case for years. Individual people ARE kicked/banned for bad behavior; one of them is Evilkill (Scorpion). For example, intentionally ruining games will get you kicked. On that same topic, the videos posted about ruining MPI games are approaching 10 years old. That doesn't happen anymore.

f you would like to join a VSR game to see how some of the best players in the game play, FEEL FREE to join a VSR strat. Be ready for some competitive bickering between players as it is a very competitive environment.

This thread is spam and the accusations in the original post are false. Evilkill will attempt to rebuke this post, but none of his responses or opinions change the facts. If you would like to see for yourself (and possibly become a better player in the process), feel free to join VSR games!

You might not be kicking new players (actually yes you are, I have seen numerous instances of this being the case, Zombie Beta, lud, Raymond, *Sinbad* to name a few) but scaring them away is all you have been doing. I can't think of ONE new player since BZCC came out that has been taken time to be trained and to fit into the zone as a new vet, only a handful of returning 1.2 vets. How do you explain that then?

Surely with the game being ON STEAM, and being sold as a whole new game should attract a new playerbase even to the vet strat scene? How is it possible that it's still the exact same people that play as before, not 1 new age vet in sight? Where are all the new players? I will tell you where, they got scarred for life from your horrible toxic attitudes, and don't give me that "they need to be tough skinned" rubbish. How about you just change your awful attitudes so people can actually live through playing with you? You didn't give them a chance to learn without throwing a fit so they left. It's all your fault and it always was. You guys are experts at f***ing yourselves in the ***.

You even admitted "we did it in the 1.2 days but not now" well why should we trust you not to make the same mistakes over and over again? So far you guys have been spinning your wheels. Believe it or not, something being on sale doesn't guarantee people will buy it. Economics just doesn't work like that.

In that case you misunderstood the meaning of the words "concrete" and "evidence". Those videos are concrete evidence of something that happened ten years ago - something many of us voiced our disappointment in, and something that stopped long ago. They prove nothing beyond that.

Just to clarify, I don't hate Jayden. I think he's a very skilled developer and have made some amazing visual upgrades to the game I love. I just think he gets influenced by the wrong people that's all, and we got into a bit of a hassle earlier but I hope we can let bygones be bygones and move on. It was just a misunderstanding and I actually respect Jayden very much for his work and generally positive attitude in the community.

I don't want Hadeans in my mod, because I don't think it makes sense for any other mod than FE to include that race. They have no relevance to the story thus it does not make sense for them to be in the game unless it's FE or there is some kind of campaign that unveils the race.

You guys think I'm kidding? Try enduring playing just 1 or 2 games with them, and come back telling me I'm "overreacting" or "being too dramatic".

I really think it's sad that people come to this thread and act as if I'm the one causing a problem here, when in reality I'm not. I'm talking from experience. I'm stating FACTS. You might not like the brash way I tend to announce them but that doesn't change the truth of the matter. They are horrible and they will get under your skin one way or another, and no they have NOT matured. Take the comment of "Blaedicus" as an example. That's the way they all act and some of them are much, much worse.

Please for the love of all that is good AVOID them. I don't want anyone to go through what I have. I won't stop talking about this and you can ban and exclude me and act like I'm the problem all you want. The point still stands. Vet strat players are awful people and don't deserve new players in their games that they will just kick out later, and I will advocate this until the end of my days.

they already know the context as per our explanations and their ongoing investigation. They acknowledge that people are not forced to join or leave game communities, and the vet community is no different. Any actions you and everyone else has taken within the vet community is not subject to their judgement or control. However, because your actions are on public, general purpose forums not specific to a community, your actions affect everyone, including a workshop item. The moderators have yet to determine if your actions degrade the public, and if that is the case, you will no longer be a part of any community

as far as our agreement goes, it appears you havent honoured it. Otherwise the term "VSR" would have been eliminated from your vocabulary months ago

Well then, what about my side of the story? That is just as important as anything else is it not? Surely I wouldn't have gone through all this if it wasn't for a reason. You threatening me with these things is keeping the hate alive. So maybe you should just stop don't you think?

I'm trying to raise awareness on a very important issue that nobody talks about. I am being very abrasive in doing so, but for good reasons. This is not an issue to be taken lightly. Online bullying has been destroying lives for a long time and is to be taken seriously. You can't just tell people to "toughen up" when something they love is being corrupted by this vibration of pure negativity and hostility that comes from vet strats. What I desire is a major shift in attitude from the vet players, but that's far too late at this point. The game has been out for over a year and the spark is gone. Not even deliberating the 1.2 tumult. You are going to have the same old playerbase as you've always had, despite my efforts to help you.

It's people's own responsibility if they read my topics or not. I'm not breaking any rules. So no matter what you do you will never bring me down because I will just get right back up again.
