she was born and raised in kobe with her parents, older brother and grandparents in a pretty tight house. they weren’t very wealthy, but weren’t considered poor either. she would always watch her brother dance as she grew up, which started her passion. before mikoto finished her studies, she moved to seoul with her older brother to pursue their dreams of becoming dancers. it was hard for her since she still had to finish high school and couldn’t speak korean. yet she managed and it made her the way she is today.
