faq about moving to speedrun.com
this is a community vote to determine whether or not to move the Super Metroid leaderboards, currently located at deertier.com, to speedrun.com. hopefully this faq can address any immediate concerns you may have while remaining impartial to either option.

Q: Whose votes count?
A: Please only vote if you actually have a stake in this, e.g. you've submitted a run to deertier.

Q: How will the votes be tallied?
A: To avoid confusion and eliminate any kind of social pressure, it'd be best if they were submitted along with your deertier name to a trusted party TBD currently. There is no current voting system yet, but it'll likely be a google forms submission.

Q: When will the votes be tallied?
A: TBD

Q: When will the migration happen?
A: TBD

Q: How will the migration be facilitated?
A: Through a script to input all the times from deertier.com into speedrun.com.

Q: What if the move happens, and I don't want my time to be on speedrun.com?
A: Feel free to request it to be removed.

Q: If the move happens, how are the various categories going to be handled in speedrun.com?
A: TBD, secondary to the move.

Q: If the move happens, what happens to deertier.com?
A: That's up to Mr. Landmaster, the current admin for deertier, but there's no reason the history of deertier can't be preserved, a la wayback machine : https://web.archive.org/web/*/deertier.com
	In addition, it would not be hard to (should people want it) retain deertier for submissions, and have a bot automatically submit times to speedrun.com on behalf of the runner. The reverse would be much more troublesome, mainly because its unlikely that Mr. Landmaster would change deertier to do that.
