- Probably a Kinh-ized or Vietnamized Cantonese Chinese (her grandpa or great grandpa... ancestors not so long ago came from GD). Of course they would not put it that way. It's cool to brag about being Chinese. East Asian is "desirable" and high culture and high IQ, if you know anything about Sinosphere. Native SEA is inferior and low culture.
- Know evolution? They mixed and assimilated with the locals/natives beyond recognition, like those so called Thai-Chinese, too are Thai-ized. There are only about 1 million out of 90 millions population in Vietnam are real Chinese. The rest are fakes and wannabes.
- Chinese in Indochina should know the facts that the local elites/gov'ts want to assimilate the Chinese into the local culture. Why? To diminish the Chinese influence aka "anti-foreign imperialism". It's their "hidden national policy".

- So, do you call yourself Vietnamese or Vietnamese-Chinese in the public or regular conversation? You would not dare to claim to be a Chinese in front of your friends, given the hate, envy, jealous, love, etc feelings from the Kinh Vietnamese towards the Chinese. I'll rest my case.
