The Change

Off on yet another adventure was Arcelious as he exited from the Brighthold Keep. The boy had been gathering more and more books about Astral magic, Fire magic and everything he could get his hands on about Mitch Dragontongue. The boy's want for knowledge of the once great Pureblood was like a fire, always burning.

As he went on the boy stopped at the fountain and cupped his hands within the water. Pulling it up he drank the water and let out a happy sigh. Despite the storm clouds, which seemed to always be over head, Arcelious looked like he was in a good happy mood.

Turning around the boy continued on his path until he came upon an interesting scene. An Ookami and some masked person. He was not sure what they were doing or if they were even getting along, but Arcelious did not care! Nay. He approached them and stood a few feet away. Hooking his thumbs through the straps of his backpack the Drakanite flashed a toothy smile.

"Hi! I'm Arcelious. What are your names?"

Curiosity peaked on his tone there at the end. It seemed he was honestly interested.

Sophia had her usual, calm conversation with Haru, a kind of break from her research and extensive training over which she spent most of her time each day. Sometimes she believed that she either had not enough time for herself or left too little of it while focusing on her work, resulting with really rare occasions where she did anything else she wanted.

Though even during that times someone had to interrupt her and this time it was Arcelious, who decided to approach her and Haru, introducing himself without reason or permission before asking for their names in return. With clear frustration she moved her sight to the younger teen, glaring at him for a moment before rising her hand and responding.  "Hello...I am Sophia...local scientist...you need something?" she asked with hint of frustration in her voice.

Frowning at the sight of the mean look flashed his way Arcelious did not break his eye contact on the girl. He had given her no reason to act in such a way toward him. That was annoying in his mind! Regardless, he shook his head and spoke.

"Hello Sophia and no. Not anymore. Bye."

Rather short and to the point. The boy felt like there was no reason to further pursue a conversation with someone who got mad over being spoken toward. Turning the boy began to take steps away, his usual smile forming back on his face as he was finished with the short lived scene.

Haru was enjoying his conversation with his cousin Sophia, though it wasnt much of a conversation. Haru and Sophia occasionally talked, but they havent had time to spend time with one another since Sophia was busy with Radiant Dawn and Haru was trying to find someone, but no luck. with that.

"Sophia its been a little while since we last had a training session and I still have a bit of trouble meditatiing like you said, but nothing seemed to work.....Maybe I just dont know what Meditating is? I dont know...I was wondering if you were n-"

Before Haru could finish, a strange boy came up to the duo introducing himself as Arcelious, though Haru didn't know why the child was doing that in the first place, but Haru as a respectable person and spoke back to him.

"My name is Haru"

Katai was about to head into the Infirmary to start his second shift when he heard Arcelious and Sophia talking. He then heard Haru speak. Haru was at least kinder to Arcelious then Sophia was.

"Hello Sophia, how are you cousin?" Katai asked her.

"Oh Arcelious, Sophia over there is your cousin, so is Haru over there; more or less" Katai said simply.

"Anyways, I have to head inside and start my medic shift for the day. Have a good day" Katai said, turning to leave.

Sophia blinked few times upon hearing Katai with her attitude nearly instantly changing as she let out a hacking cough and slowly crossed her arms before deciding to respond to Arcelious with now calmer tone.  "Well I guess this changes alot...sorry Arcelious, I am not really fond of people...specially recently...but its nice to meet a cousin..." she said before looking towards Haru.

She sighed quietly and slowly removed her mask before revealing her pale skin, left red eye with black veins around it and a fact that she appeared to be around eight years old in apperance.  "Well...Haru so meditating...uh...we will resume our lesson in a few...so mind if our cousin join us?"

So it seemed like both of the people he introduced himself to were raised in barns or just raised in the wild. Like they had never seen the inner workings of civil life. It was often a very common thing when another would approach a stranger and introduce themselves. It was how relationships started, friendships and what have you.

But, giving another shrug Arcelious said outward toward the one who called himself Haru.

"Hello Haru."

He would call over his shoulder but kept on trudging along. Even when the boy had heard his father call out Arcelious continued on. He did not really want to socialize with the two of his assumed family members. Going on he heard Sophia speak again but did not really pay much attention to her words.

"I'm going to and train with Astral magic, father. I'm going to try to find the highest place I can. In my book it said the closer you are to your star the better connection you have .. or something like that. But yeah! I'm going to go train."

With that said he continued on! His thumbs looped through the straps of his backpack, eye's front, Shinigami at his back and his strawhat on his head. It looked like the boy was ready to go!

Sophia Ryozo whispers: Stupid brat...
Haru Allmiker: Um...
Katai saw his Son completely ignore Sophia. Family was highly important, at least to Katai. He hoped that over time his eldest Son would consider Sophia family, just as he did.

"Well have fun and be safe. I do suggest avoiding Loranthis. If you do go to train and meditate, I suggest one of the mountains near Dragon's Peak" Katai said to his Son.

"Have a good day Sophia and Haru" Katai said. With that he waved at them and headed inside to start his second shift of the day.

Sophia Ryozo: Stupid brat...
Sophia Ryozo: So...training?
Haru Allmiker: Oh..yea
Sophia Ryozo: Lead the way.
Bandit: Screw you!
Sophia Ryozo: Okey...
Sophia Ryozo: So sit down and close your eyes.
Haru Allmiker: *Haru sits down and coses his eyes*
HAru listened to Sophia when she spoke about redoing the meditating. Haru tried to use didfferent methods of meditaions but nothing he came up with worked.

Haru was a nice teen, but he didn't know alot in his life. Haru wasn't able to read until he was 12 and he couldnt write even now. Haru had alot of u[ and downs, though some were small others were huge like his writing problem. To Haru the meditation was something he just didn't know how to do. Luckily he had a cousin like Sophia to help him.

Haru began to slowly close his eyes from Sophia's words and took a deep inhale and then exhaled all at once.

Haru tried to remember the details from Sophia once told him.

"Image a river."

Haru was speaking in his own head, trying tot remember the details carfully and more so, remember them in order.

Haru kept taking deep breaths and tried to imagine a still river. A river must be still but everflowing. To Haru picturing such a thing was sort of difficult since he himself always saw rivers moving and constantly moving, though he didn't imagine anything else other then that. But rather, Haru took another breath and calmed himself. This was just 2 of the many steps Sophia told Haru before about meditation.

Sophia smiled towards her ookami friend for  brief moment while observing his progress, without comments or anything, staring at him with odd feeling within her, different than envy, which in most situations would have overwhelmed her by now, though not around Haru, he made her feel...different, same as Crystal and Liluna did before, all three of them caused her heart to beat like crazy.

Each stare at them made her feel warm, but also scared, she began to realize that she felt something towards each of them but in long goal she feared that if she were to open to them they most likely would reject her because of her immature looking body, which could have made them think she never matured with her mind either.

These thoughts were wrong, she knew it but lacked any way of dealing with them due to envy overwhelming her with ideas that each of them would reject her affection due to her physical appearance, not appealing as the other girls and boys had, making her believe that she had to change, become different to what she looked now and for that...she needed power.

With frustration she turned to the side just before exhaling loudly and lifting arms in front of her face, slowly forcing the blood aura to form in between them in a sphere which she then began to crush and contract, fueling her own determination with envy towards Alisaie and her power, the other women and their bodies as well as the others and their rapid growth in strength.

Such straining practice began to result with her successfully crushing her own aura under power of envy which once more began to overwhelm and devour her slowly, spreading its corruption and resulting with her depravity to become stronger, becoming more addicting to her, making it more describable, resulting with the girl slowly losing herself to it.
