For example. ifyou have a bear totem spirit. yott might be unusually hairy and thick. skinned, or if your totem is the eagle. your eyes turn bright yellow.
  56.
  57. Gillian:
  58. it doesn't actually say I can choose or not
  59.
  60. Tarron:
  61. "at your option"

  63. Gillian:

  79.
  80. Tarron:
  81. Vou must make or acquire a physiral totem ohject-an amulet or similar adornment-that incorporates fur or feathers.

  83. Tarron:
  84. "fur or feathers"

  93.
  94. Tarron:
  95. canvas talisman
  96.
  97. Gillian:
  98. very well
  99.
  100. Gillian:
  101. I'm just not particularly tied to the whole "bestial" thing and I'd like to keep it that way
  102.
  103. Alise:
  104. I read that as "bestiality" thing
  105.
  106. Tarron:
  107. Tarron is still a little skeptic about the whole "dead guy int he corner" thing, and meekishly avoids said corner
  108.
  109. Gillian:
  110. That too
  111. Alise: (( Oh right, I needed to roll my HP for level 3 ))
  112. Gillian: (( I strongly recommend not rolling. ))
  113. Alise: (( Or take the average which is...what again? o3o ))
  114.
  115. Gillian:
  116. 5
  117.
  118. Alise:
  119. What's the roll?
  120. Gillian: (( taking the average each level results in a higher overall average ))
  121. Gillian: (( d8 ))
  122. Gillian: (( which averages 4.5 of course ))
  123.
  124. Alise:
  125. Well I'll take the 5
  126.
  127. Alise:
  128. And see how mad the roll makes me
  129.
  130. Alise:
  131. 8
  132. Gillian: (( classic MT luck. ))
  133.
  134. Alise:
  135. SO MAD AGI
  136. Tarron: (( did you pick an archetype yet MT ))
  137. tirkaroKujo:
  138. Anyway, all things being the way they are, Ireena lets you stay the night or nights while she just sorta sharpens her collection of designer swords in the corner
  139. Alise: (( I took the 5 (SAD) ))

  144.
  145. Gillian:
  146. "Ugh, tomorrow can't get here fast enough! I'm going to throw those monsters down the nearest well as soon as I see 'em!"
  147. Alise: (( I said I'd take the 5 before I rolled. So honor system there (SAD) ))
  148. Tarron: (( I meant did you pick an archetype (wary) ))
  149. Alise: (( WHY WOULD I DO THAT? THAT WOULD BE ACTUAL WORK ))
  150. Gillian: (( MT: Also, what's an archetype? ))
  151. Alise: (( Also I cannot Skype tonight just as an FYI ))
  152. Ismark: (( aw man ))
  153. Gillian: (( welp sesh cancelled GG when's the next game ))
  154. Tarron: (( theef is stealth and using some objects (which includes regular healing potions but no other magic items) as a bonus action, assassin is slightly more damage in somewhat niche circumstances, arcane trickster gets some magic, mastermind can use Help action as a bonus action and can redirect some attacks at times and can mimic speech, swashbuckler is easier sneak attack and movement ))
  155.
  156. Tarron:
  157. swashbuckman also gets Cha to init
  158. Alise: (( I think I determined before that arcane trickster sounded fun ))
  159. Tarron: (( arcane trickster or mastermind probably fit your character design best ))
  160. Tarron: (( MASTER OF TACTICS S tarting at 3rd level, you can use the Help action as a bonus action. Additionally, when you use the Help action to aid an ally in attacking a creature, the target of that attack can be within 30 feet of you, rather than 5 feet of you, if the target can see or hear you. ))
  161. Tarron: (( as that's pretty meidlike ))
  162. Gillian: (( >maid being the master ))
  163. Gillian: (( I dunno that doesn't seem right ))
  164. Tarron: (( nah, the master is the one who attacks ))
  165. Tarron: (( the mastermind is, oddly enough, just an aid ))
  166.
  167. Tarron:
  168. e
  169. Tarron: (( arcane trickster would cover some spells Tarron won't be getting ))
  170. Tarron: (( But yeah I'd pick one ))
  171. Tarron: (( so that you actually get class features ))
  172. Alise: (( Arcane Trickster sounds fun then ))
  173. Tarron: (( good, now pick your spells. ))
  174. Tarron: (( You know three cantrips and three first-level spells : ))
  175. Tarron: (( one of the cantrips is Mage Hand ))
  176.
  177. Ireena:
  178. "So if you're wondering, the reason why the Burgomaster's body is still rotting away here is because no one from this village has been brave enough to help Ismark take the late Koylan Indirovich here to the cemetary for proper burial."
  179. Tarron: (( it's automatic and you can do some cool shit with it anyway ))
  180. Tarron: (( and two of the 1st level spells have to be either enchantment or illusion ))
  181.
  182. Gillian:
  183. "Oh, what, is that all?"
  184.
  185. Gillian:
  186. "The entire town is BASICALLY a cemetary anyway, from what I've seen."
  187.
  188. Ireena:
  189. "If you would be so kind, if there's no distraction to be had yet, could you possibly help Ismark here take this body to Donavich. He's the local priest for your information."
  190.
  191. Ireena:
  192. "it's the least you owe me for this kind of...hospitality. For now at least."
  193.
  194. Tarron:
  195. "Erm...But Ismark is...not conscious! So we cannot! Yes."
  196.
  197. Alise:
  198. "Didn't we sort of save her brother? You'd think she'd be a bit more thankful for that..." Alise mutters aside to Gillian.
  199.
  200. Gillian:
  201. "Sure. I'm not too worried, but it kind of sounds like there's a catch there - what's bravery have to do with lugging a dead body around?"
  202.
  203. Ireena:
  204. "Yes, yes, in the morning is what I mean. And dead bodies are heavy. Don't you know?"
  205.
  206. Gillian:
  207. "Yeah, you'd think... maybe she wishes we hadn't, though."
  208.
  209. Alise:
  210. "That's pretty terrible if true.."
  211.
  212. Gillian:
  213. "Hey, I've seen some pretty cowardly guys that could lift, weight has nothing to do with it. Is it the dogs, or what?"
  214.
  215. Ireena:
  216. "No real catch to be had. Donavich has been awfully hard to contact recently however....so as you can tell, not many people here are much of help."
  217.
  218. Ireena:
  219. "I'm certainly in no business to do it myself either. The only reason why I came out here earlier was because my brother was in dire straits."
  220.
  221. Gillian:
  222. "With any luck, taking care of those ghouls in front of the house got rid of whatever curse was tying him and us to the house..."
  223.
  224. Gillian:
  225. "Don't really have my hopes high, though."
  226.
  227. Ireena:
  228. "Now, if you mind, you were supposed to have gone to sleep hours ago. You may feel free to use whatever Soup rations we have lying around if your bellies are that ravenous."
  229.
  230. Tarron:
  231. "Oh...in the morning...That is solving the problem..W-well! Gillian, you shall be carrying the coffin, yes?"
  232. Tarron: (( soup rations seem like the worst idea ))
  233. Tarron: (( nobody wants a soggy bag ))
  234.
  235. Gillian:
  236. "We'll, uh, we'll split the load. Somehow. Hopefully Izzy has a strong back."
  237.
  238. Gillian:
  239. "With a title like Burgermaster I'm not expecting the guy to be skin and bones."
  240.
  241. Alise:
  242. "I'll help with the heavy lifting!"
  243. Ireena: (( anyway, you all go to the sleep because roleplaying any time frame before or after sleep has been outlawed as of the year 20XX following a string of disasters that costed the lives of dozens ))
  244. Ireena: (( and I still dont have a full heal button compatible with D&D so just pretend Ismark's health is full ))
  245. Alise: (( So we get all the heals? ))
  246. Ireena: (( yeah sure why not just take 20 on the healing roll ))
  247.
  248. Gillian:
  249. ALL the heals
  250. Gillian: (( there is no healing roll ))
  251. Gillian: (( after a long rest you heal fully ))
  252. Ireena: (( well damn thats not how it used to work ))
  253. Gillian: (( it's not but 5e realized that's how it should ))
  254. Gillian: (( At the end of a long rest, a character regains alllost hit points. The character also regains spent Hit Dice, up to a number of dice equal to half of the character's total number of them. For example, if a character has eight Hit Dice, he or she can regain four spent Hit Dice upon finishing a long resto A character can't benefit from more than one long rest in a 24-hour period, and a character must have at least 1 hit point at the start of the rest to gain its benefits. ))
  255. Gillian: (( >must have at least 1 hit point ))
  256. Gillian: (( someone waste another healing potion on Ismark ))

  283.
  284. Alise:
  285. "Gooooooooooood morning, master!"
  286.
  287. Ireena:
  288. "Yeah something about a death house breaking its curse on you or something....or that's what I overheard your friends saying."
  289.

  296. Gillian:
  297. *MT
  298. Gillian: (( this is after sleep, as is the rest of the day ))
  299. Gillian: (( it is also before sleep. ))
  300. Alise: (( But he literally just roleplayed Ismark waking up : ))
  301.
  302. Ismark:
  303. "Oh right, the Death House....is that place still a problem? I feel like a curse has certainly been lifted over me...but just having that place still there feels a bit worrisome."
  304. Gillian: (( And now he must be arrested. ))
  305. Ismark: (( beaker ))
  306.
  307. Alise:
  308. "I would have prepared breakfast but everything here is terribly dusty and full of nightmares and I wouldn't be surprised if everything was poisonous death!"
  309.
  310. Gillian:
  311. "G'morning, Alise - oh, it was dusty, was it? Weren't you supposed to clean that up...?" Gillian winks and shakes his head no.
  312.
  313. Tarron:
  314. no srsly agi
  315.
  316. Tarron:

  327. Gillian: (( that was a quarter second debug, you're welcome ))
  328. Gillian: (( you're an idiot ))
  329. Tarron: (( those are also brackets ))
  330. Tarron: (( as are } and > ))
  331.
  332. Alise:
  333. Alise's mouth falls agape, "A-..ah...you're right! I'm terribly sorry, please forgive me, master! I'll flog myself with my own rope for my laziness...!" By now she's at the point of hysterical crying.
  334.
  335. Gillian:
  336. "Oh, shoot, nonono, Alise, that was a joke! Come on, I don't expect you to do that in someone else's house!"
  337.
  338. Alise:
  339. "Oh. Thank goodness." Her crying stops abruptly. "Then we should probably get started with our objective for today."
  340. Gillian: (( Huh. ))
  341. Gillian: (( So I can turn that on and off. Noted. ))
  342.
  343. Alise:
  344. "Miss Tarron, are you feeling better today?"
  345.
  346. Tarron:
  347. "HMMM...You...oh? Am I? Yes, yes! I do not suffer long!" Tarron stares at Alise for a moment, but then turns to Prodigious and Island, "Well! Then! You two, you have a job to do, yes!"
  348.
  349. Gillian:
  350. "Huh." Gillian looks after Alise, confused as always by her responsiveness, and mutters to himself. "I wish I had that kind of control over my emotions."
  351. Gillian: (( where is everyone ))
  352. Ismark: (( making a sammich ))
  353.
  354. Ismark:
  355. Ismark ponders deeply to himself. "For some reason I'm starting to believe that...nevermind. Anyway, you wanted us to uh...dispose of the poor Burgomaster here, right? I guess time is of the essence....Ah! You three, surely you'll be of help for this occasion, right? Or should we do something about that there uh...cursed house first..."
  356.
  357. Ismark:
  358. "I doubt our battle there is anywhere near over..."
  359.
  360. Alise:
  361. "Hmm, I remember the time you got so mad at your father that you locked yourself in your room for two whole days and then ate an entire feast by yourself because you were so angry." Alise gigles to herself, "No, you never were good at controlling your emotions. Or your voice level."
  362.
  363. Tarron:
  364. "Or his appetite! Oh, we must go back into the house..."
  365.
  366. Gillian:
  367. "H-how'd you even hear that?!" Gillian stammers out. "U-uh, yeah, so how far exactly do we have to carry the coffin? We might as well TRY that before the curse warps us away at a dramatically appropriate time in the conversation."
  368.
  369. Ismark:
  370. "So we're off to carry the coffin first? Hopefully this won't take us the greater part of the day if we must..."
  371.
  372. Gillian:
  373. "Would it? I don't think anyone ever bothered to say how far we're carrying the dang thing."
  374.
  375. Ireena:
  376. "It's preferrable anyway. The stench has been slowly trying to seep its way through even with that coffin covering him."
  377.
  378. Ismark:
  379. "Are you concerned about that? It's only to the local cemetary. Shouldn't take terribly long to haul somewhere within basic viewing distance."
  380.
  381. Alise:
  382. "Indeed, the smell is quite terrible."
  383.
  384. Gillian:
  385. you're concerned about it u just said 'hopefully it won't take the greater part of the day' cmon work with me
  386.
  387. Gillian:
  388. "Whatever, let's just get to it."
  389.
  390. Alise:
  391. "Right! If we all work together, it'll be done in no time."
  392.
  393. Tarron:
  394. "Er! Wait! Do not we need to free the children from their ghastly restraints?"
  395.
  396. Gillian:
  397. "We need to do a lot of things. This one doesn't involve getting stabbed."
  398.
  399. Gillian:
  400. "I'd rather not carry a 800 pound coffin while covered in claw wounds."
  401.
  402. Alise:
  403. "Plus, this one should be a lot shorter. No sense in getting caught up in many things at once when we can get this one done quickly, no?"
  404.
  405. Tarron:
  406. Aw dammit
  407.
  408. Ismark:
  409. "C'mon lady, majority rules in this case. And boy is this a heavy case. Perhaps we wouldn't have to go so hungry all the time if he'd just cut out the Dream Pastries..."
  410. Tokens dropped onto map 'Hunters_rest' by player Thrice (Player)
  411.
  412. Gillian:
  413. "I KNEW HE WAS FAT."
  414. Tarron: (( oh huh, guess I didn't swap Sleep out ))
  415. Tarron: (( I meant to tho ))
  416. Tarron: (( wait...no... ))
  417. Tarron: (( Dammit I overwrote the other token. ))
  418.
  419. Alise:
  420. Alise tries to lift up her side of the coffin, her scrawny arms straining to hoist it, "Uwaaaaaaaah! It's soooo heavy!"
  421.
  422. Tarron:
  423. "Hmm...Should, should...yes...but should is not always correlating with being so... If you insist! I will light the way! All you must do is carry the coffin!"
  424.
  425. Ismark:
  426. You go off an heave-ho this bloody body off to where it rightfully belongs. Of course, the only one who can give a proper burial is at the church, so off we go.
  427.
  428. Gillian:
  429. "Tarron. It's morning. Sun's doing the job for you - well, kind of? Is this place EVER not cloudy and dismal?"
  430.
  431. Ismark:
  432. "The Sun? Nothing but a myth to us. It's the only thing that can truly destroy Strahd to our knowledge, which is probably why it never shines down upon us even in the dead of daytime."
  433. Tarron: (( Message, Minor Illusion, Mage Hand Silent Image, Charm Person, Shield that is a sample spell list you lazy fuck, so that you can actually benefit from being third level ))
  434.
  435. Ismark:
  436. Atop a slight rise, against the roots of the pillar stone that supports Castle Ravenloft, stands a gray, sagging ediface made of stone and wood. This church has obviously weathered evil assaults for centuries, and is predictably worn and weary.
  437.
  438. Ismark:
  439. And now go to the new mappe for some hardcore church action
  440. Tarron: (( the first three are cantrips, you can use them at will ))
  441. Tarron: (( the latter three are first level spells, you get two slots per day ))
  442.
  443. Gillian:
  444. "Huh." Gillian looks up toward the obscured light behind the clouds. "I miss it already."
  445. Alise has received initiative.
  446. Alise: (( Oh, thank you. I actually had the book open and was looking at them, but I got distracted per usual ._. ))
  447. Tarron: (( youdon't HAVE to go with those, obviously ))
  448. Gillian:
  449. 1/2 chunch
  450. Tarron: (( tho honestly there's not a whole lot else for Illusion/Enchantment at 1st level ))
  451. Tarron: (( and Shield is just good to have lying around ))
  452. Gillian: (( 2/2 chunch ))
  453.
  454. Tarron:
  455. "A world without a sun! How tragic... All grey and no play makes Tarron a sad girl..."
  456. Alise: (( 3/4 loading ))
  457. Tarron: (( >2/2 ))
  458. Tarron: (( I'm at 4/5 ))
  459. Tarron: (( we have transcended physics ))
  460. Tarron: (( 2=5 ))
  461. Tarron:
  462. oh man i am the betting that there is being a lower level
  463. Ismark:
  464. n
  465. Tokens dropped onto map 'The Chunch' by player MarthTrinity (Player)
  466.
  467. He ded:
  468. The heavy wooden doors you see in front of you are covered with claw marks and scarred by fire. Best keep on the lookout for bridges and dragons...
  469.
  470. Alise:
  471. Alise releases her grip on the coffin, her face burning red, "Uwaaaah, I'm sorry, master. I'm not built for all this heavy lifting..."
  472.
  473. Ismark:
  474. "Worry not. All we need to do is get the priest's go-to to do a proper burial. The hard part is already over."
  475.
  476. Tarron:
  477. "I am so very proud of you! Experts in dead person lugging!"
  478.
  479. Tarron:
  480. "Being but a novice, I am sure I would only harm the cause were I to attempt to aid you..."
  481.
  482. Gillian:
  483. "Whew, it's alright, we made it this far. Burgerpants can wait for a sec here while we get the priest's okay."
  484. Tarron: (( you guys DO realize we're gonna have to deal with a Big Mama in a second right ))
  485. Tarron: (( this dude is totally gonna become a bampoiyah or some shit ))
  486. Tarron: (( and attack us ))
  487. Alise: (( Fat roll. Fat roll for your life. ))
  488. Tarron: (( only Ismark has the fat roll ))
  489.
  490. Ismark:
  491. Ismark attempts to knock on the door to get the priest's attention, but he seems to have little luck in this endeavor
  492. Tarron: (( Tarron's got the cleric gear and Gillian's wearing nothing at all ))
  493.
  494. Gillian:
  495. welp. Priest's dead.
  496.
  497. Gillian:
  498. I'm sure all those pews that I can see with my X-ray vision were supposed to be smashed like that though.
  499.
  500. Alise:
  501. "Anyone hooooome?"
  502.
  503. Tarron:
  504. "You need not knock! Places of worship are open to all!"
  505.
  506. Ismark:
  507. "This is strange...the priest is usually here. But I guess there's nothing preventing us from entering on our own accord. Guy must be asleep."
  508.
  509. Alise:
  510. "I have a bad feeling about this..."
  511.
  512. Gillian:
  513. "2 silver says dead from mysterious circumstances. Double or nothing on zombie."
  514.
  515. Ismark:
  516. "Geez. You sure do jump to worst case scenarios fast. Let's just get this over with."
  517.
  518. Ismark:
  519. The wide doors open to reveal a 10 foot wide, 20 foot long hall leading to a brightly lit chapel. The hall is unlit and utterly reeks of mildew.
  520.
  521. Ismark:
  522. Four doors, two on each side, lead to adjacent chambers as you can see.
  523.
  524. Tarron:
  525. "Z-zombie?? Do not make jest of such things! The dead should remain dead!"
  526.
  527. Alise:
  528. "It's sort of hard to help when all of our experiences here have been death house..."
  529.
  530. Ismark:
  531. Anyway, you can see that the chapel is strewn with debris, and from up ahead, you hear a soft voice from within reciting a prayer.....
  532.
  533. Tarron:
  534. "Unless they are brought back to life in which case that no longer holds! Erm...but zombies do not count!"
  535.
  536. Ismark:
  537. But suddenly, the prayer is blotted out by an utterly inhuman "KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" that rises up from beneath the wooden floor.
  538.
  539. Donavich:
  540. Of course, this doesn't really deter the man from continuing to recite his prayers.
  541.
  542. Gillian:
  543. "You're right on that mu- whaaat was that?"
  544.
  545. Alise:
  546. "W-...what was that?!"
  547.
  548. Tarron:
  549. birbs.
  550.
  551. Tarron:
  552. It was birbs, MT.
  553.
  554. Gillian:
  555. Gillian draws his lance and runs into the chapel
  556.
  557. Tarron:
  558. you're doomed.
  559.
  560. Ismark:
  561. "Oh. Oh...I don't like this...but hey, there's the priest I was talking about."
  562.
  563. Tarron:
  564. he's like a half-melted blues brother
  565.
  566. Donavich:
  567. Donavich simply tries to keep to himself whilst reciting soft prayers.
  568.
  569. Alise:
  570. Alise scampers in after Gillian.
  571.
  572. Tarron:
  573. "Sc-screeching is not good... Churches are not for screeching! One must remain quiet!"
  574.
  575. Gillian:
  576. "Hey, buddy! What's going on in here?"
  577.
  578. Donavich:
  579. The Chapel you run to is a shambles, with overturned and broken pews littering the dusty floor. Dozens of candles and candelabras light every dusty corner in a feverent attempt to rid the chapel of shadows. Next to the kneeling priest in soiled vestments hangs a long, thick rope that stretches into the bell tower.
  580.
  581. Donavich:
  582. The man tries to continue his prayer before the sharp scream rises up again. "KRAAAAAAAAAAUGH! FATHER! I'M STARVING!" The voice of a young man yells in desperation.
  583.
  584. Alise:
  585. Alise scoots closer to Gillian, "W-...what's going on here...?"
  586.
  587. Donavich:
  588. Of course, this still doesn't break the deeply concentrated priest from focusing on his prayers.
  589.
  590. Ismark:
  591. "I...I'd try to stay back if I were to be safe. It seems the guy hasn't even noticed our presence..."
  592.
  593. Gillian:
  594. Gillian roughly shakes Donavich's shoulder. "Hey, are you deaf or something?! What are you doing?"
  595.
  596. Gillian:
  597. >stay back
  598.
  599. Gillian:
  600. nah.
  601.
  602. Tarron:
  603. Tarron warily inches forward, "E-erm...I am in the agreeance with Ismark! Oh, it pains me to see such a holy place so distraught.."
  604.
  605. Alise:
  606. "Master...maybe you should..."
  607.
  608. Donavich:
  609. Donavich's frustration gets the better of him, and he furiously turns back and yells "WHAT!?" It's now obvious he was simply trying to ignore your presence instead of being simply ignorant of it. "What the hell do you want from me?"
  610.
  611. Donavich:
  612. "Ah, ah, no...I slipped up..." Donavich does a 3 point prayer to himself for the outburst.
  613.
  614. Tarron:
  615. "How...unpriestly! But finally, a sign of life... Other than the...screaming..."
  616.
  617. Gillian:
  618. "Oh, good, you're NOT under some evil spell. Guess that's two silver wasted." Gillian looks around the room, then back to the party. "Well, we CAME here to help bury a body, but then... this. All of this. Are you keeping someone here?!"
  619.
  620. Donavich:
  621. "...." Donavich looks visibly frustrated. "Is this some kind of joke? Of course I'm keeping someone here. If you're to excuse me, if you don't have any services to ask of, please leave me back to my prayers."
  622. tirkaroKujo:
  623. You hear the screams followed by heavy banging. "KAAAAAH! FAAATHEEEER! I'M SO HUNGRY!"
  624.
  625. Alise:
  626. "B-...but we just mentioned a service we need to ask of you..."
  627.
  628. Donavich:
  629. "Grrrr...don't get wise with me. If you have a body that needs burying uh....just leave it in the hall. I'll get to it in a moment."
  630.
  631. Gillian:
  632. "You're going to sit there and pray instead of feeding your kid?!"
  633.
  634. Tarron:
  635. "Ah...Gillian..."
  636.
  637. Tarron:
  638. "Father is what preachers are known as..."
  639.
  640. Tarron:
  641. "I would be a sister!"
  642.
  643. Gillian:
  644. "Oh. Right. Doesn't change much!"
  645.
  646. Donavich:
  647. "Feeding my so-" Donavich chuckles to himself, but more of the morbid "how do I even respond to this" kind of chuckle. "Do you even know- Of course I'm not gonna feed my son! I'm not gonna sacrifice somebody's life for that!"
  648. Agidius is disconnected.
  649.
  650. Donavich:
  651. halp
  652.
  653. Tarron:
  654. he's dead jim
  655.
  656. Tarron:
  657. "Hmm...but to think of it, none ever did call me sister...always 'lady' or 'holy'... I wonder what that meant!"
  658.
  659. Alise:
  660. "Uwhaaaah? Sacrifice somebody's life...?" Alise pieces two and two together, "So wait like...feed someone to them...? Do you have a vampire down there?" she whimpers.
  661.
  662. Tarron:
  663. "VAMPIRES ALSO DO NOT COUNT!"
  664. Agidius has connected.
  665. Agidius:
  666. I live
  667. Gillian: (( last I got was "of course I'm not going to feed him, blah blah blah sacrifice" ))
  668.
  669. Donavich:
  670. "Every day I must pray...day and night, hoping that the gods will save dear Doru's soul without destroying him."
  671.
  672. Donavich:
  673. "A little more than a year ago, my son along with several other villagers stormed castle ravenloft, being led by a foolish wizard in black robes, who butted in here from a faraway land."
  674.
  675. Tarron:
  676. (and he cries)
  677.
  678. Tarron:
  679. (oh my god does he cry)
  680.
  681. Tarron:
  682. Donavich: halp Tarron: he's dead jim Tarron: "Hmm...but to think of it, none ever did call me sister...always 'lady' or 'holy'... I wonder what that meant!" Alise: "Uwhaaaah? Sacrifice somebody's life...?" Alise pieces two and two together, "So wait like...feed someone to them...? Do you have a vampire down there?" she whimpers. Tarron: "VAMPIRES ALSO DO NOT COUNT!"
  683.
  684. Donavich:
  685. "He of course....died by the devil's hand. As did Doru, who's now nothing more than..." Donavich continues his prayers to himself.
  686.
  687. Ismark:
  688. Ismark drags the coffin in. "Oh, I think I heard of that. Guess that explains all the screaming that's been coming from here recently..."
  689.
  690. Gillian:
  691. "...oh. I see now. Sorry about that."
  692.
  693. Tarron:
  694. "Y-you were knowledging of this? It was never mentioned by you! Erm..hold on...is this boy not...dangerous?"
  695.
  696. Donavich:
  697. "Oh, Ismark, is that you? I guess that means the body you're carrying here is none other than Kolyans. I see..."
  698.
  699. Donavich:
  700. "He's....I wouldn't go into the undercroft unless you have the cure to revert someone from that....hellspawn."
  701.
  702. Alise:
  703. "P-..point taken.."
  704.
  705. Donavich:
  706. "Well, it is dawn. I suppose I have no choice but to bury the burgomaster in the cemetary. Must offer prayers to the Morning-lord, you see..."
  707.
  708. Alise:
  709. "The morning lord? You plan to praise the sun?...not that there's really a sun here..."
  710.
  711. Tarron:
  712. "Perhaps this morning lord was once a sun god...but now there is no sun..."
  713.
  714. Donavich:
  715. Donavich seems a little twitchy from that statement. "ANYWAY....you were planning on taking Ismark's sister, Ireena, away from this place, no? I suggest getting her as far, far away from Castle Ravenloft as possible."
  716.
  717. Gillian:
  718. "Was that the plan? I just know we were supposed to go get her, but then she just... showed up. We're supposed to clear out the death house after this, then maybe do some grocery shopping."
  719.
  720. Tarron:
  721. "Oh! Perhaps the death house also will complete our task for us! Or perhaps it could show up unexpectedly..."
  722.
  723. Alise:
  724. "Okay, I know I started it, but can we not call it a death house any longer..?"
  725.
  726. Ismark:
  727. "Unusual amount of concern from you, no? Just make the burial quick. The screaming from your son is atrocious. I don't know how you can concentrate in these conditions."
  728.
  729. Gillian:
  730. "We can stop calling it a death house after it stops BEING a death house. Which hopefully will be after we roust that cult."
  731.
  732. Ismark:
  733. "We seem to no longer be bound by the cursed house, but I suppose it's not a good idea to keep it standing. Let's just hope we can survive this run."
  734.
  735. Alise:
  736. "Yes, it would seemy you're zero for two, Mr. Ismark."
  737.
  738. Alise:
  739. -y
  740.
  741. Tarron:
  742. "Oh, yes! I am feeling many more powerfuls now! We will have no trouble anymore1"
  743.
  744. Donavich:
  745. "Hmm....I propose, if you must take Koylan's daughter elsewhere, you should make way to the Abbey of Saint Markovia in Krezk. Or failing that, the fortified town of Vallaki. Both should be safe choices, bastions of good they are."
  746. Donavich: (( and hold the phone i sware i smell something burning ))
  747.
  748. Gillian:
  749. wait, did we know that she was the burgman's daughter? And uh, by association, that Ismark was some kind of lordalty?
  750. Donavich: (( nope couldn't track it down and no u did not ))
  751.
  752. Tarron:
  753. "Oh! That explains much! Ismark is failing so often because he is royalty! They are never good at things or the doing of them!"
  754.
  755. Ismark:
  756. "Uh....Royalty is kind of a strong word to use here."
  757.
  758. Alise:
  759. "Perhaps nobility would be better?"
  760.
  761. Donavich:
  762. "Ireena wasn't the natural daughter of Kolyan, that's for sure though. Now that the guy has kicked the bucket, he probably wont be mad at me for revealing that Koylan found her at the edge of the Svalich Woods near the Pillarstone. Ah, she was a girl then, and seemed to have no memory of her past. That Kolyan, he loved her deeply he did."
  763.
  764. Gillian:
  765. but not as much as he loved Dream Pastries
  766.
  767. Ismark:
  768. "Th-that's a pretty major thing to hide like that....I knew she wasn't his natural daughter, but at the edge of the Svalich Woods....well that's not terribly useful, but it's better than nothing."
  769.
  770. Tarron:
  771. "Er, is not she still a girl now...?"
  772.
  773. Tarron:
  774. "Ah, and also...I have realized that we have left Ireena behind..."
  775.
  776. Donavich:
  777. "Grr, of course not, she's a fully grown woman now. Do you not have any grasp on- oh nevermind. I'll get to work on the burial procedure, it's all I owe right now."
  778.
  779. Ismark:
  780. "Well, yes. She's not really one to go outside so casually. You know, because of the whole...devil related reasons."
  781.
  782. Tarron:
  783. "All I will be saying is that I am wondering if we have been making a mistake, leaving her alone..."
  784. Gillian: (( No, what devil related reasons again? I seriously don't remember if we ever covered that IC ))
  785.
  786. Ismark:
  787. Ismark literally went over the fact that Strahd is after her when talking to you at the pub
  788. Gillian: (( yeah alright ))
  789. Gillian: (( didn't know that (waiting) ))
  790. Tarron: (( that was literally Ismark's entire reason for existing ))
  791. Tarron: (( to tell us that ))
  792. Tarron: (( But for now we should probably go kill the death house. ))
  793. Gillian: (( Maybe in the actual game ))
  794. Gillian: (( but in our game his only purpose is to die ))
  795. Gillian: (( a lot ))
  796.
  797. Ismark:
  798. Ismark slips on back outside, covering his ears from the continued horrific shrieking. "I believe she can handle herself in the burgomaster's abode a while longer....but if you're truly that worried, perhaps it is best that I stay by her side for now. After all, I am free from the cursed house's, erm, curse."
  799.
  800. Tarron:
  801. "Oh, you are not to accompany us this final time? Saddening!"
  802.
  803. Tarron:
  804. we needed our meatshield
  805.
  806. Alise:
  807. "Well, hopefully final time."
  808.
  809. Ismark:
  810. Well you logic'd away your meatshield ur gonna have to live with it
  811.
  812. Gillian:
  813. it's okay, I'm a bear now I guess
  814.
  815. Ismark:
  816. "All is right, so I'll be off. I trust in you to finally obliterate the cursed house once and for all. It can't be that hard now that most of the area has been cleared."
  817.
  818. Ismark:
  819. if ur ready u may now spawn at the death *jazz riff* house
  820.
  821. Tarron:
  822. "HMMM..." Tarron watches Ismark depart, "He will not die on the way back, yes...?"
  823.
  824. Alise:
  825. "Quite possibly, yes."
  826.
  827. Gillian:
  828. "If he does he isn't getting the two silver."
  829.
  830. Gillian:
  831. "Poor Donavich, though."
  832.
  833. Tarron:
  834. "I am more worried for the townsfolk...a monster unlike most is being dwelled within the church..."
  835.
  836. Alise:
  837. "I can only wonder if there's a cure to such a vile condition.."
  838.
  839. Tarron:
  840. "Those in need of salvation, the poor and the weary, are most at risk...it is quite worrying."
  841.
  842. Gillian:
  843. "At least he has the vampire locked away pretty tightly. By the way it was screaming it's probably been trying to bust out for a while."
  844. tirkaroKujo:
  845. Anyway, the Death House is in largely the same condintion you left it in, with more or less no real changes. The armor is now completely gone from its podium.
  846. tirkaroKujo:
  847. You may choose to just spawn more or less where you left off
  848. Tokens dropped onto map 'DeathHouse' by player MarthTrinity (Player)
  849.
  850. Tarron:
  851. It's not a whirring deathtrap anymore?
  852.
  853. Gillian:

  855. tirkaroKujo:
  856. no it is not it is normal now
  857.
  858. Tarron:
  859. "I am happy for mood swings! But, I did not know houses had moods..."
  860.
  861. Tarron:
  862. i uh
  863.
  864. Tarron:

  876.
  877. Tarron:

  934. Anyway, it's obvious from where you are near the staircase that the ghostly chants originate from somewhere below
  935. tirkaroKujo:

  937.
  938. Gillian:

  945. tirkaroKujo:
  946. Otherwise there's nothing terribly special in the rooms where you stand
  947. Alise: (( DRAGON BALL Z ))
  948. tirkaroKujo:
  949. This room is festooned with moldy skeletons that hang from rusty shackles against the walls. A wide alcove in the south wall contains a painted wooden statue carved in the likeness of a gaunt, pale-faced man wearing a voluminous black cloak, his pale left hand resting on the head of a wolf that stands next to him. In his right hand, he holds a smoky-gray crystal orb.
  950. Alise: (( Nobody goes by GT standards, GTFO ))

  965. Gillian:
  966. "Is it glowing?"
  967.
  968. Tarron:
  969. "Perhaps it is an important instrument? Such a dull color...I could improve it! Would not the smoke look much better in bright lavender?"
  970.

  986. tirkaroKujo:
  987. It's a little hard to judge its worth, but it should be a good enough steal. Also, this happens I guess.
