- his gives me an idea.
- >on any normal cold day in hell
- >everone was staying indoor or doing nothing
- >out of nowhere, all of hell TV come to live and everyone sees a green suit wear lizard demon with white glasses on its face
- >"hey, hey, hey, and welc-c-c-c-come to hell ha ha ha h-ha!"
- >this scared some people, others were confused or interested by this
- >"you know when I dropdown here, I was hoping we can start one heck of a party. but I found out some sad stuff happens and your queen won't allow fun anymore."
- >"but do not worry, I am here to bring Hope and Fun back into hell again!."
- >this confused people even more, what does he mean "bring Hope and Fun back into hell again"? he will just be publicly executed
- >"let's start at the downtown of pentagram city"
- >the camera cut to the gray dead buildings of downtown pentagram city, a place that uses to be where you can buy drugs at
- >the camera zoom out and... he somehow already there in the street!?
- >what! how did he get there so fast!?
- >more and more people of hell got interested by this guy
- >who is he?
- >"this pace used to be where you can buy, drugs, beer, hooker and lot more fun stuff. but now it's dead as hell... who not add some colors"
- >he raises his hand and snaps his fingers, as he did that, a big explosion of color starts popping around him
- >after that was finished, none of the buildings were destroyed but painted over with color
- >"hehe, I guess that was an interesting start and I know everyone is wondering who am I?... my name is Funanon and I am here bring Hope and Fun back into hell"
- >"Before I go, hey Alastor! play some music!"
- >all of hell radio, broken or not start playing music
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkgKDe23zwU
- >Now, this got everyone's attention, Alastor was gone for years. is he working with this Funanon guy?
- >what else is going to happen?
- -
- >Up above, in Pandemonium's halls, there's a stir
- >the monolithic building (modeled after "The New Tower of Babel" from Lang's "Metropolis"... or was it he who modeled the tower after it?) that once overlooked a bustling city of sin (the unholy lovechild of New York, Louisiana, Chicago, Las Vegas, Hollywood and Detroit), now but a sullen statue above the grey, cut-and-paste concrete blocks of the city
- >the splash of color could be seen from miles away, seemingly glowing in the dull darkness of new Pentragram City
- >so Pandemonium stirs, the members of new Stygian Council begin to gather, and whisper among themselves, their names lost to time and ache
- >as always, the Thinker stated the facts:
- "There's a new demon in Hell... And he brought Alastor back."
- >The Adviser, debater, schemer and contrarian, was quick to flash his silver tongue:
- "Liar. It's obviously pre-recorded. Alastor is GONE."
- >The Thinker hummed
- "Gone... But not forgotten, as it seems. The city stirs. It yearns for life. They yearn for vice."
- >now the Courtesan, skilled yet constrained, spoke up:
- "And who wouldn't?! This place's been a dump for years! Sure, the bigshots are gone, there's no more exterminations, but..."
- "There's no hope either."
- >They fell silent, as the Queen spoke up, her voice barely louder than a whisper. Little more was needed
- "...What shall we do?"
- >the Prince broke the silence, shooting worried looks at the Queen... And his cousin, her Dame - the sharp-witted woman long fallen into an obedient silence. Hauntingly, she did so by her own will, while the others had to learn where their friendship ended... and where their duties began.
- >Hell was a changed place
- >gray, cold, and unwelcoming
- >a place where the souls go to suffer and die
- >no chance of redemption
- "You know..."
- >they all looked up. The Bodyguard had decided to let his voice be heard
- "Today is the anniversary of his... Her... Of their death."
- Cont.
- -
- >there was a sharp drawing of air. It hadn't occurred to any of them
- "So, it was a message, then."
- >they all flinched, as the Queen stood up, suddenly determined
- >and yet, there was no fire in her eyes, not like the one she possessed before
- >The Advisor was fast in his track
- "Your orders, my liege?"
- "None."
- "...I beg your pardon?"
- "I have none. You may rest at ease."
- >her determination was grim
- "If someone intends to challenge me so boldly, it is only fitting that I see to this matter myself."
- >and she began to walk towards the balcony, only stopped by a cold hand on her own
- "Please..."
- >The air in the room froze
- >Her Dame decided to speak up
- "Don't go. Don't risk yourself."
- >she spoke with worry, yet the warmth from her eye was long gone
- >the Thinker mused, gaze travelling back and forth between them
- >perhaps, it truly was a challenge
- "S-Surely, your Excellency isn't thinking of--?!"
- "Oh, blow it outta your ass, ya dick. If she wants to go, she'll go. This is her fucking place, after all!"
- "...Thank you, Angel."
- >the Courtesan froze up, wide eyed
- >he couldn't... really recall the last time she called him by his first name
- >perhaps, this really was something different
- >they've seen their fair share of rebels
- >but a long time had passed since...
- >since...
- >the last one...
- >...
- >the Courtesan sighed
- >he wondered how the old snake was doing. Part of the former company of their friends was with him
- >the Queen walked on, exiting to the balcony, the cold air tugging at her golden hair
- >among the perverted and exaggerated figures of Hell, she stood out as someone truly beautiful - inheriting her mother's (may her spirit rest) sultry, sexual aura (now tamed and tampered by a cold gaze and a sharp, inornate uniform), and her father's angelic beauty (dulled by years of uncompromising misery)
- >but tonight, it'll all come to change
- >there was a ruffle, and the others, though not for the first time, stood aghast at the sight
- -
- >unfurled before them were the Queen's wings, all six of them
- >three pairs of angelic limbs briefly glowing in the blinding, white-hot light of Heaven
- >and then, the light faded
- >giving way to six, silvery gray, Exterminator wings
- >the new Stygian Council shuddered
- >and yet, as their sovereign took off, the gaze of her Dame changed
- >she would oft stare after her, without any emotion, as to merely rest her sight on something familiar
- >her Queen had changed so much, too much, in all these years
- >she remained as devout as ever
- >but gone was the light, the heavenly sunshine that brightened up her day
- >the death of a friend, the death of a parent, Chanperor's disappearance, her duel with Lucifer
- >they all chipped away at her heart, her soul, leaving nothing behind but the fading embers of one, like a will-o'-the-wisp, where it was once the Sun
- >but today would be different
- >she knew it
- >the moment she saw her eyes, she knew it
- >for a moment, only for a moment
- >the hellish glower of red and yellow had given way to a pair of yellowish orbs with black irises, in indignant shock by the insolence of the newcomer
- >she saw the storm stir in the blackened pit that had become her heart, saw the embers rising from the charcoal again - not quite a fire, but the promise of one was there
- >and a promise was enough
- >her Dame's eye softened, her poise and posture relaxed, like it hadn't been for years
- >the others took notice as well
- >perhaps...
- >perhaps, today, things will finally change
- >today, things will be different
- >she could only hope
- -
- So how are some of the other anons taking it?
- >GopnikAnon and BibleAnon are running the closest thing to a soup kitchen
- >Charlie stops there and asks for information on FunAnon
- >BibleAnon starts muttering prayers to keep himself from losing his temper
- >GopnikAnon has no such restraints
- "We would give that information to any friend. But you have not been friend for long time."
- >Charlie bristles at the remark and her features slightly shift to her demonic form
- >BibleAnon steps between the two
- "We couldn't give you that information even if we wanted to. We don't know anything about this upstart. Now, I must ask you to leave 'your majesty'."
- -
- >somewhat calmed down, Charlie nods, before summoning a notebook, and quickly scribbling into it
- >both anons take note of her penmanship - it has the same frantic energy as it did when she was just the Princess, not the Queen, but not, it lacks a certain "freedom", her strokes are clearly straight, sharp, and constrained
- >however, as she wraps it up, the same ease seems to return, her expression softening, if only briefly, before she stops, and telepathically rips out the page, summoning a stamper - and not even an old-fashioned, wooden, chess-pawn looking one, but rather, a plastic, mundane gray, mechanical one - and stamping it
- >she then snatches it out of the air, before holding it out for the two anons
- >after a short pause, Bibleanon decides to take it, quickly skimming through the text
- "What is it?"
- >Gopnikanon's trying to read it from aside, but with little success, his eyes struggling to make sense of Charlie's new, calligraphic handwriting
- "It's a street vendor license."
- >Bibleanon studies it more intensely
- "Exempt from taxation. Under Royal protection."
- >the two anons look up, unsure of what to make of it
- "In light of recent events, we'll be tightening security."
- >Charlie's explanation is curt, formal and emotionless
- >and yet, her eyes seem to betray her
- "This should keep your operation safe from the... Inspectors. Don't lose it."
- >with that, she spun around, marching away from the stand
- "Care for a soup?"
- >she stops
- >Gopnikanon was hardly the friendliest sort to begin with, but one thing was certain
- >he never jokes about food
- "Soup?"
- >she asks, her voice betraying her stoic expression
- "It's... One of Alastor's recipes."
- >Bibleanon's explanation collapses her stoicism. Her eyes widen, as she inhales deeply, finally registering the familiar smell
- "For old times sake..."
- >Bibleanon offers more than just soup: he smiles, lifting a ladle and a plastic bowl, ready to fill it
- >just like he did at the hotel, years ago
- Cont.
- -
- >Charlotte... No, Charlie, hesitates
- >one step forward
- >two steps back
- >finally, she stands still
- "I believe..."
- >she's searching for the right words
- "They need it more than I do."
- >and she turns to leave
- >Bibleanon wonders to himself, whether or not he really did hear "need" or "deserve" from the Queen
- >Gopnikanon smirks, for the first time in months, his face lit up by it
- "Alright, malishkiy, back in line! You heard her, this soup ain't gonna eat itself, blyat!"
