  88. One of the first things to do is to create your character. The game is set up to be played by Humans, though again, if you do a twist of playing with other races, that's always welcomed. In this version, though, your race as a Human doesn't really affect much, as your Class will have the most effect on your experience.
  89.
  90. While you could, theoretically, play as whatever age you want, the game's pre-written beginning is the players becoming new Trainers and starting off on their journeys. The suggested age for characters is between 14-17, but if you want to play a story about kids, or a story about adults beginning their journey, as always, it can be done. Most decisions like these are up to your DM and the type of campaign they want to run.
  91.
  92. For your stats, follow the 5e rules of rolling the d20, picking which numbers go where, and adding the appropriate modifiers for your number. Additions, proficiencies, and everything else are affected by your Trainer Class.
  93.
  94. Depending on the Pokémon you have out, you can get certain advantages on actions and commands. Trainers get advantage on skill checks as long as the Pokémon with the ability they wish to use is in close proximity.
  95.
