  1. Bill: Hey man
  2. Philly: hi Bill
  3. Bill: Do you want me to tell you the truth as to why I have not been on duty recently
  4. Philly: the truth is good
  5. Niseru: Alright..... I was very upset with the direction of the department.... Not a huge fan of Joe as the Chief as I felt like nothing was getting done... I was working so hard trying to get training up and he told me he would do things for me and never would do them.... Seeing that you are the Chief I am willing to give the department another chance if you still want me
  6. Philly: Sounds fair, but I do want to also be honest with you. So from my perspective, your not online a lot, when I was new to the department your way of handling training was sub-par at best. You were not really around, and your solution for that was to ask me to send you notecards, and to monitor my reports. That's not really actively training more like an observer. If I was to keep you on as a Training Sergent I would need you to be more involved with new recruits, and when you can't be involved I would need you to gather a group of officers to help you when you cannot be online.
  7. Bill: I work afternoons and evenings with my job and the Chief was well aware of my schedule. I think I did a better job than the previous training Sgt who would never answer messages and would never train actually..... I sent him numerous messages to train and never heard anything back. I was given orders that you did not require training... rather to just monitor your reports as that was the probationary phase.... If you think my training is sub-par that's fine, I do not want to take up a valuable position in your department... I would only bring down the department. When you are told to run a training division with no FTOS you can't be on all of the time.... I was even told applications would get sent out for FTOs and shockingly that never was done, so I was only working with what I had.....
  8. Philly: understood, and as I said allowing you to assign officers as FTOs when you saw fit would be part of your scope, as well as delegating out recruits between the FTOs based on schedules and what not. So from the sounds of this, it may work out for both of us. I will not be leading with an Iron Fist so if you need to do something you will not always need to come to me to get it done, you will have the authority to make decisions on your own.
  9. Philly: we will be continuing to utilize the Trello boards so everyone can be on the same page. so once officers are assigned as FTOs they will get access to the training trello boards and will be able to see the applications and applicant info and make the necessary moves for training.
  10. Bill: Well let me throw this back at you then... do you have a Sergeant of Operations
  11. Bill: Someone who helps with applications... interviews... reviewing reports and stuff like that
  12. Philly: I am still working on getting a handle on who we have and who we do not have. Papp was helping me with that however with him stepping down I am not sure where he was at on it.
  13. Bill: I thought he is still in the department?
  14. Bill: Owen Papp?
  15. Philly: yes he is, but he had made an announcement that he was stepping down from Captain. not leaving CCPD though
  16. Bill: Well to be honest with you with my availability I feel I would excel more on the Operations side.... plus that is the stuff I really enjoy doing..... Just thought I would throw that out there
  17. Philly: well training falls under administration, so you are saying that you would rather not do training anymore?
  18. Bill: If you are not confident in my ability I would rather you put someone who you think would do a good job
  19. Philly: I do not question your abilities, I trust Josephs judgment and I believe if he felt you fit the position I believe in that. I just didn't feel like for whatever reason you had, you were not living up to that.
  20. Philly: double negative, I didn't feel like for whatever reason you had, that you were living up to that potential
  21. Philly: so if the problem was as you said that you were not able to assign FTOs to help you and that there were things you needed from Joseph to do your job better that he was not providing you, I'm 100% willing to allow you to continue what you were doing, and I want to support you as best I can in doing so.
  22. Philly: Lets also put this out there, if Training is not what you want to be doing that's fine too, I would only ask that for the time being you continue that, and once we have things settled we can work on finding someone to replace you in that capacity, and work on moving you were you would like to be.
  23. [15:38] Second Life: Bill Niseru is offline.
