Message to US Representatives re: Single-payer Healthcare

[INSERT CONGRESSPERSON],

What is your position on the United States National Health Care Act (H.R. 676)?

As your constituent, I'd like to urge you to do all you can during your career as a representative to keep this bill alive in the consciousness of your fellow representatives, and eventually, to pass it into law.

[PERSONAL HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE STUFF: I'm only 26 years old, and yet as a sufferer of Crohn's disease I've had plenty of experience navigating this country's healthcare system. In my opinion, it is very nearly broken at the PPO level, and certainly broken at the level of lesser private health insurance plans.]

Moreover, the fact that we endure for-profit healthcare and health insurance services in this country is disturbing to me. The conflict of interest inherent in allowing a company to provide health services to its customers while also maximizing profits for its shareholders is, to me, obvious and toxic. Do you agree or disagree with that statement?
