☼Personality : Outwardly, Miri has no fears and is very strong and dependable. However, she does tend to be somewhat softspoken. Although conflicting, she also can be very brave and bold when speaking about things that really matter to her. She has a bit of a competitive streak. She likes joking around, although sometimes she can take things to heart. This can cause many misunderstandings. Otherwise else, she's easygoing. She's no doormat, though. She can usually tell when someone's just pretending and lying about something in front of her.
☾On stage personality : Miri's always got a smile ready on stage. Although she won't steal the spotlight from others, she definitely won't let others steal it from her. She treats her friends the same she would normally, but she does make sure to be slightly more polite and self-conscious. During concerts and fan signs and whatnot, she's always trying to make sure that everyone's having a good time. Overall, she's just charismatic and friendly.
☼Off stage personality : Although she's still smiley, she's less so off-stage. She's a lot more bold speaking-wise. Miri's definitely a lot calmer, though. More laid back? Even during things like vlives or regular videos, she doesn't have a problem being seen as less energetic. She explains the slight difference in energy as just always having an adrenaline rush on stage.
☾Background : Minji was born in Stuttgart, Germany. When she was born, her family was just starting to lose their business. Her older sister Sohee was five when Minji was born. Then, when she was two and Sohee was six, they moved back to Korea with their father as their parents had gotten a divorce. With their father, they received martial arts training and healthy diets. Both children grew up strong and healthy, and both were doing extremely well in school. However, both seemed to want to do things differently than their father wanted. Sohee wanted to be an actor and Miri wanted to be an idol. Despite the backlash from both parents, Sohee managed to stay with SM C&C's training and KAIST's schoolwork. Miri was still in high school when Sohee finally convinced their parents that being in the entertainment business was not a terrible thing. This ended up helping Miri achieve her dream. In 2013, when she was sixteen internationally, she was able to sign a contract with Pledis Entertainment. She too was able to balance learning at KAIST and being trained to be part of the entertainment industry.
☼Trivia :
- She started learning contemporary dance in middle school, but when she was allowed to start a contract with Pledis she immediately took to hip hop, popping, and animating
- She get's carsick! Whenever they have to drive somewhere, she plugs headphones in, takes her shoes off, and curls into a small ball in the corner to go to sleep.
- She and Sohee try to meet up every week, but usually, it ends up being a phone call every week and a lunch date of sorts every month.
- She is a giant fan of SEVENTEEN which is partially why she auditioned at Pledis in the first place!
- She's also a big fan of SF9.
- She auditioned at JYP but was rejected.
- She's addicted to her phone! As a trainee, she was allowed to have her phone but they ended up having to use it to threaten her to actually go train.
- She's pretty athletic. Aside from doing various kinds of martial arts when she was younger, she took up archery in middle and junior high.
- She really wants to be on a dance program like Hit the Stage!
- She gets teased for being a black hole! She seems to lose everything she touches!

☼What would break your character entirely?
Her dad or sister somehow being unable to continue supporting her and instead having her be on her own.
☾What was the best moment in your character's life?
When her older sister Sohee finally convinced their parents to let her act like she wanted, Miri was also allowed more freedom. The moment when her dad told her that she could do whatever she wanted as long as her studies held up was one of the best moments.
☼What was the worst moment in your character's life?
When the entire family moved back to South Korea, watching her parents get into one last argument before her mother grabbed her things and left was definitely a terrible moment for her as a two-and-a-half-year-old.
☾What insignificant memories stuck with your character?
Getting on the plane for the first time to go to South Korea. She and Sohee were so excited. When they arrived, they were ecstatic! Everything was so much different from cold and woody Germany.
Getting accepted into KAIST was also a big day for Miri. Her dad and Sohee had looked super proud of her and she was really happy as well.
While in her dance school, she had left to use the bathroom. When she was walking back to her room, a nearby studio had some older kids doing a performance that she absolutely fell in love with.
Watching SF9's KO performance was pretty inspiring as well.
☼Any fears your character has?
- Not being able to continue dancing because of an injury
- Failing and being told by her father that he was right
- The sea
☾Why did your character join MERAKI?
She started training with Pledis around when Pristin was preparing to debut. She was not in the starting lineup. Miri decided that joining MERAKI wouldn't hurt her career in any way. She knows that, even if she wins, she won't be able to be put into a new group automatically because there aren't enough trainees who've been training for long enough to make a good group. Despite this, she wants to give it a shot.
☼Does your character think they can win? Why or Why not
She feels very confident in her dancing abilities, and although she knows that she needs to work on her voice she feels that she's good enough to get to the top.
☾Message to the other trainees : "I'm going to be trying as hard as I can, so the least you could all do is to give it your best!"
☼Message to the "national producers : "I promise that I'm going to work hard. Being an idol is my dream, and it's not something I take lightly! I will work hard to constantly improve myself!"
☾Message to me : So Miri's older sister is Yoon Sohee! She's been in a few things (like the girl in SHINee's Why So Serious or in The Blade and Petal, as well as Let's Eat, Memory, and Ruler: Owner of the Mask) but I think she's becoming more popular. I couldn't find any information on the older sister so she's not really in Miri's backstory... Lastly, she prefers being called Miri because a friend of hers suggested it'd be a nice stage name all the way back when she was six and hyper-obsessed with being an idol.
