  1. What do you think about a geek? An odd person who can't leave his computer? An odd person knows deeply about his system? An odd person spend his times mostly with Linux? After many occurrences in my life with Linux, finally I realize that I am kind of geek. Apparently I am one of the geeks. I am geek.
  2.
  3. Override To Be A Geek?
  4.
  5. No, absolutely no. I enjoy to be a geek. Wonderful times with helping others to know their own systems. More wonderful if I can solve their problems accurately.
  6.
  7. Proud To Be A Geek?
  8.
  9. No. Geek doesn't need any pride. Geek solves problem, geek gives solution. Geek seeks a problem to solve it. Geek uses any of his capability to create good things. A software --thing that helps you everyday-- born from geek. Are them not enough for you?
  10.
  11. A Geek and A Time
  12.
  13. Actually it is wrong. Geek has many times (or forces himself to has many times) to satisfy their natural curiosity. Geek spends many times to solve problems. Geek spends many times to give advantages to others. Even if you see a geek just faces his own monitor, actually he thinks what you don't think about yourself. He always wants to know and solves problem in your system. And they all need times.
  14.
  15. A Geek and A Linux
  16.
  17. Is it a certainty? Most of cases, yes. A good Linux user should be a geek. Nonsense if you say you have used Linux for 5 years but never did configuration. Linux needs thousand of configurations and geeks done them all. Is there any other system you can use it everyday for all purposes, gratis in cost, secure, stable, and open source, but Linux? Is there? If your answer is no, then why a geek spends his time in another system?
  18.
  19. A Geek and A Superuser
  20.
  21. How? If you are a Linux user, then you are a superuser (even if you reject it). And if you use Linux everyday, know precisely what to do with a part of your system, never hesitate to hack your own system anytime, never hesitate to use and promote open source software, have big curiosity about how a system works, always intended to solve all problems by yourself, then you are a geek. Simultaneously, a geek and a superuser in a personality. It is wonderful.
  22.
  23. A Geek and A Talent
  24.
  25. A geek is a person who knows what is his natural talent. A geek is a person who knows himself. Usually geek has many talents and he knows deeply each of them. Naturally, geek will always seeks for a place where he can develop his talent infinitely. He want to be developed. He is different with usual people who usually don't know anything about their own talents, moreover want to develop themselves. A geek always glows in the dark. In short, a geek is an insanely talented person.
  26.
  27. A Geek and An Autodidact
  28.
  29. It is a natural certainty. A geek is always self-taught. He always intended to solve all problem by himself. He don't want anyone to disturb his learning curves. He dislike to be interfered. He never intended to burden anyone with times. He has times and he values other's times. A geek naturally become an autodidact without any intent. A geek is naturally an autodidact. Merely, the autodidact level of every geek is various. Sometimes a geek is purely autodidact, sometimes another geek is partially. A geek loves to be an autodidact.
  30.
  31. A Geek and An Autonomy
  32.
  33. Definitely. If you think a geek will easily ask someone before he do a research until urged, then go to your own Recycle Bin. A geek is autonomous, he will try first to solve any problem himself. A geek dares to take any risk. He reads many, he acts many, and he solves many. But only when he feels urgent, no other way but asking, he will ask. Not to deny his social necessary, but his natural curiosity takes a big part here. So a geek is a person who seldom asks any help from others.
  34.
  35. A Geek and A Simplicity
  36.
  37. A geek is always simple. A geek loves simplicity. Just look at his user interface choice. Many geeks spend times just to adapt their interface to be simple. And a geek always simplifies complexity.
  38.
  39. iGeek
  40.
  41. Then how if I fulfill all criterias above? It is wonderful to say "iGeek".
