Harbinger Pt 8: PASSION OF TREENETO (donnie,reverb,dop,mark)

Yes, it seems, that, in the dead of night, fellow team member, Jitterbug, was snatched from her home, and brought to locale unknown. Fortunately though, Flipside and Amos trip to Madame Zanzibar may have revealed a location of importance, at Stonehenge. Quickly-

<HabeusKaiju>: they jet off, to the prehistoric momument of England, as a great storm cloud looms above, filling the sky red with the colour of blood. The S-Jet narrowly dodges thunderbolts, as they descend to the island of Wiltshire
<Wrong_Way>: "...You know I probably could've teleported us there no problem."
<Reverb>: "Apparently that couldn't be done, magic stuff."
Dopples sat in his seat quietly, doing his best to hide the fear of the plane getting hit and the winces from the massive booms of thunderous sound. At leas this time he brought his suit, so its mitigated somewhat.
<Donnie>: "I think the plane's just to be safe. In case you died and we had no way home."
<Wrong_Way>: "Oh Donnie, you know I wouldn't do that."
<Dopples>: "....I'd rather not jinx us"
<Reverb>: "Yeah, that might be the best. Better safe than sorry. Speaking of which, c'mon Tony, most modern planes can perfectly survive thunderstrikes."
<HabeusKaiju>: also, Wrong_Way, can ya keep logs?]
<Dopples>: "If there's already magic stuff getting in the way, they could have magic lightning too" Its clear that he didn't really think that one through and just doesn't like thunder.
<HabeusKaiju>: As the kids talk, Wrong_Way trips, as his foot sinks into a hole
<Donnie>: we left the plane?]
<HabeusKaiju>: Yeah, plane has landed, kids left off]
<Reverb>: [I thought we were still on it]
<HabeusKaiju>: sorry, I worded it poorly[
<Wrong_Way>: [yeah sorry]
<Wrong_Way>: "Uh, little help here?"
<Dopples>: "You just had to jinx it!" Tony quickly grabs him to pull him out.
<Wrong_Way>: "Oh shush, I bet England is always like this with their man eating grass."
Donnie quietly ends up taking the lead of the group's walking formation as everyone slows down to help WW from getting devoured by the earth
<HabeusKaiju>: As Wrong_Way is pulled out, a patch of the grass comes along with him, revealing a glimpse of a long drop below
<Dopples>: "...I'm new here, but I don't think the ground is supposed to have that"
<Wrong_Way>: "Wonder if you can get to China from there. Wait...Pacific ocean."
<HabeusKaiju>: A faint winds seems to be blowing downwards into the hole, as the grass flap shakes in the gust
<Reverb>: "Huh... yeah, uh, should we even touch that hole?"
<Wrong_Way>: "Well I don't think I see anyone else above ground during this storm.", Mark says looking around.
Dopples leaned down next to it, looking down into the hole as he formed the small scouting beetle construct to fly inside and give him a better look with its echolocation.
<HabeusKaiju>: As he does so, it shows that, the whole is large enough to climb down, as long as a ladder, and a large cavern below
<Dopples>: "...Right. There's a drop, and then some kind of cavern down there"
<Wrong_Way>: "How long is the drop? I can send a mattress down there."
<Dopples>: "Uh. I think its manageable"
<Wrong_Way>: "Alright."
<Reverb>: "So, what, can we jump?"
Wrong_Way jumps down there without a second thought.
<Reverb>: "...if he's dead we're leaving them there."
Wrong_Way lands crunching down. A slight sting in his feet from the fall but fine.
<Dopples>: "...He's alright"
Donnie makes a clawed construct over his hand, digging it into the side of the drop and slowly moving on a downward dragging descent
<HabeusKaiju>: As Wrong_Way falls, he seems to be surrounded by darkness, as the wind breezes behind his neck
<Wrong_Way>: [srry little early in that]
Reverb grabs Dopples by his waist and jumps down, dragging him along with her.
Dopples makes a small eep, coming along into the hole with her
<HabeusKaiju>: Ahead of them, seems to be a hallway, the walls are decked with slimy moss tufts
Wrong_Way murmurs "I /don't/ have a flashlight."
Dopples tapped the floor with his shoe as he landed, using the tight space to his advantage as he uses echolocation once more to get an idea of the area
Donnie mutters something and his eyes become adapted to the dark, glowing feintly.
Reverb can see in the dark, a byproduct of her vampirism which stays all throughout the day.
<HabeusKaiju>: they can all now see a long hallway, that twist and turns, for about 60 yards, now known to Dopples' echolocation, which leads into the giant cave he saw before, now sensing figures there as well
<Dopples>: "Be on your guard and be quiet. We have people far up ahead after around sixty odd yards. No turns"
Wrong_Way nods and slowly starts walking down the hall.
Reverb moves steadily down the hall, already preparing some weaponry
<ReverendLamia>: last thing said]

Dopples followed after, doing his best to catch any sounds or movements from up ahead
<ReverendLamia>: He seems to sense a man, hunched over a insectoid woman, muttering to himself, flipping through a book. The rest of them can sense strange divets lines in the wall
<Dopples>: "Two people, one of them a man the other a woman. Woman is somewhat insect looking. Has a book with him. I'm not liking this"
Donnie tugs at Reverb's shirt. "I can't use my normal weapons."
<Reverb>: "Right, gotcha." she said, forming a blade more suited to Donnie's size and handing it to him. "Mark, want one?"
<Donnie>: "...Make it bigger."
Wrong_Way shrugs, "Might as well."
Dopples lets the visor of the helmet recede back, revealing his face as he held his flute to the side. Yes. Bringing a flute to battle.
Reverb nods, taking back Donnie's sword and increasing its size, while making another one in her other hand, giving it to Wrong_Way and returning Donnie's sword to him.
Donnie tests the weight in his hands and then hefts the blade over his shoulder
Wrong_Way is dual-welding now.
<ReverendLamia>: As they venture forth, they are greeted with quite a sight. In the giant cavern, they see Lamia, as he is hunched over Jitterbug,tied up, and a little frightened looking. He is holding a book in one hand, and a dagger on the other, which currently rest on the stone tablet she rest one. The most eyecatching feature though, is-
<ReverendLamia>: Treeneto, strung up to the wall, into the shape of a cross. Behind him, is a mural of the world, on fire, and giant, painted eyes, gaze from behind it. A bowl rest at his feet, on a stone pedestal with gold in-lines. Candles line the walls of the room, casting sinister shadows for them all to see
<Reverb>: "...this fucking guy."
Wrong_Way looks around, slightly taken aback.
Donnie cloaks his sword up with a shadowy covering, slamming it down into the ground to release a black shockwave in a direct collision coarse with Treeneto's cross
Dopples goes quiet, his eyes narrowing as his expression goes grim. He stamps his foot down and plays a particularly sharp note into his flute, it becoming a wave of bursting sound to accompany Donnie's shadow
ReverendLamia turns his head, to see the shockwave head towards Treeneto. Quickly, he leaps up, and waves a hand, casting the shadow aside, and leaping to block the soundwave, falling to the floor in pain
Wrong_Way sees this as an opportunity to untie Jitterbug and rushes over there while the Reverend is down.
Dopples clangs the flute against his arm, using it to trap vibration and sound within it as he makes a wild dash towards Lamia
Reverb hangs near the walls, using some daggers to scale up the walls.
ReverendLamia grunts, as he gets up, seeing Dopples run towards him. Quickly, he robs his sense of hearing, and goes to dive tackle Wrong_Way
Donnie stomps his foot onto the ground, leaving a black simple-looking sigil, and then stomps it down again, bursting into the air and directly at Lamia
<ReverendLamia>: "Greetings, child! You wish to see first hand revelation of the enlight-" Lamia gets out, before he is knocked aside by Donnie
Donnie lifts his sword up and makes no haste in trying to run it's length through Lamia's stomach, yelling incomprehensibly
Wrong_Way gets up from that dive tackle and goes back to untying Jitterbug
Reverb remains at the walls, readying a batch of crystal spheres, embedded in the ceiling of the caverns.
ReverendLamia quickly stops his sword hand, and tosses him to the side, and runs over to Jitterbug, knocking Wrong_Way aside, and casting the dagger beside her into her stomach. He laughs, as the blood pours from the tablet, into the floors divets, leading towards the bowl/ He lets out a laugh, as his eyes grow a brighter red than before
<ReverendLamia>: Children, you simply know you cannot stop me. With that sacrifice, I only get more powerful, and closer, I grow, to his second coming!
Dopples was almost disappointed that Lamia would forget the powers that he taught him. He didn't need to hear the sound whatsoever. He could see it. Instead he chose to swing right as the dagger went into Jitters, smashing the flute and sending vibrations through the demon's body to completely overwhelm and attack his senses.
Reverb kicks the spheres into gear, making them all burst and release a hail of sharp shards all over Lamia.
ReverendLamia is stunned a bit by the sound, before altering his senses to right himself. Seeing the shards flying towards him, he picks up Jitterbug's corpse, using it as a shield, blocking them
<ReverendLamia>: It seems though....that you need a demonstration, of the gifts the Lord bestows on me.
Wrong_Way pulls himself up, tackled again by the same goat man. How embarassing.
ReverendLamia waves his hands, as he puts all the s-men into a deep sleep, as they begin their descent....INTO HELL!
Reverb was just about to drop down on Lamia, swords in hand.
Donnie is tossed aside, growling angrily. He turns over to runs at Tree's corpse, attempting to smash the cross he's hung on
Dopples turned rather scrappy, using the closeness to sling rather dirty shots at him to put him down. Before he falls asleep he grabs onto Lamia's horn, yanking to snap it before he goes unconscious.
ReverendLamia simply brushes the childs hand off, and walks back to jitter's body, as he works his magic
