  1. "ART THOU DEAF? HAST THINE EARS BEEN AFFLICTED? DOEST THOU SIMPLY NOT CARE?"
  2. >You tremble in your seat
  3. >Luna was home from night court early again
  4. >The sun was coming up and her dinner still wouldn't be ready for twenty minutes
  5. >"I-I'm sor-"
  6. "THOU ART SORRY?"
  7. >This wasn't her royal canterlot voice
  8. >This was her househusband beating voice
  9. >It was a lot louder
  10. >Her cold silver boot raises your chin
  11. "Thou art sorry?"
  12. >Tears are already stinging in your eyes
  13. >Whispering was even worse than the yelling
  14. >"Yes."
  15. >If you didn't reply it was almost worse than when you did
  16. >Her other hoof smacks your jaw off her first one like a golf ball off a tee
  17. "WE EXPECT TO BE FED AT SIX THIRTY"
  18. >She crushes your chair as you curl into the fetal position
  19. >It explodes under here strength and weight, after you clean the mess you'll have to kneel on the floor to eat for a week until you're allowed another one
  20. "NOT SEVEN. NOT SIX FIXTY. NAY, NOT EVEN SIX THIRTY ONE."
  21. >She stomps on your hip, hoof bouncing off the hard bone as your hip chips on the harder floor
  22. >In between your mewling apologies she stomps twice more, bouncing your hip on the floor until you roll onto your back to stop it
  23. >The third is a softer blow, directly into your soft tummy beneath the ribcage
  24. >This satisfies Luna for the moment
  25. >Though your eyes are screwed shut and weeping tears you listen as Lungs trots across her private tower's kitchen to the ice chest
  26. >Ice shifts, a bottle hisses and the cap bounces on the floor
  27. >She trots over to her lounging pillow and relaxes with a book and her Princess sized 40oz bottle of rye beer
  28. >By the time you get back up its time to take dinner out of the oven
  29. >Slowly you set the table, warmth in your chest turning to inflammation and bruise
  30. >Luna eats like a bear
  31. >She says she loves you
  32. >Sometimes she even apologizes
  33. >Sometimes
  34. "Oh, good morning Anon."
  35. >Celestia's voice is as sweet and peaceful as the morning sunrise
  36. >But hearing it caused such a shock of panic you jolted in the tub as though electrocuted
  37. >You apologize profusely as you start to jump out of her tub
  38. >After slipping out of Luna's sleeping forelimbs you snuck over to the castle proper for a bath
  39. >Imagining what Luna would do to you if you woke her up with running water at eight am left a sickness in your already beaten stomach
  40. >But here Celestia caught you using her tub, her private bath, the one secret place you though you could go, she caught you
  41. >When her aura touches you you flinch so hard you cramp your legs
  42. >Celestial pushes you back down into the water
  43. >And lets go
  44. "Ssh, relax. Why are you so worried? It's just a bath."
  45. >You haven't seen Celestial in a long time since you started your 'relationship' with Luna
  46. "Is this your first time sneaking in here?"
  47. >Too scared to lie you can only nod
  48. "I had though so. You see, the rose petal are in this chilled vase here, and the oils in the builder carafes by that table there…"
  49. >Her horn lights up as she adds them to the bath, the warm air now filled with potpourri
  50. "Relax, Anon. And tell me, what are those marks there?"
  51. >You try to hide under the suds but she has already seen everything as you first stood
  52. >Years of moonlight had left you milky white, your dark blue bruises shone on your body brightly
  53. "Did my sister do this to you, you sweet little thing?"
  54. >You mutter 'No', the lies of why and how you got them die on your lips as she speaks with a motherly smile
  55. "Luna, Luna Luna Luna. So brash, so emotional, and unfortunately, sometimes so violent."
  56. >Celestial sits at the tub side now, looking down on you with her bright, large eyes, her hair blowing away to her side
  57. "There are plenty of ways to teach your man without leaving marks."
  58. >Magic shoves you underwater
  59. >You flail and thrash
  60. >It yanks you up
  61. >You gasp
  62. >She still smiles her warm smile, her eyes cold as ice
  63. >Under you go again
  64. >The oils makes the tub slick
  65. >You can grasp nothing but your own throat
  66. >Two agonizing minutes pass
  67. >Air escapes you
  68. >Hot water fills your lungs
  69. >Blackness comes upon you
  70. >She lifts you again
  71. >A powerful crush hits your stomach, a magic heimlich wrings your lungs out
  72. >She drops you on the floor, leaving you limply laying on the tubside mat
  73. "See? Will you ever sneak into my private bath again?"
  74. >You cough bits of water and spit out to weakly stutter "No"
  75. "And yet, see how pretty and unmarred you are? No one will ever know, will they?"
  76. >"N-No ma'am."
  77. >Princess Celestial smiles her warm, matronly smile as she drapes her bath robe around you
  78. >It billows around you like a blanket, soft and warm
  79. >Childishly you feel like you're hidden for just a moment, the meager relief fleeting
  80. "Take as long as you need to get yourself together, little consort, but do not forget your place. Luna will be upset if you're gone when she wakes."
  81. >Celestia sprinkles a few rose petals near your head and open the bay window to dissipate the steam
  82. >She leaves from the balcony, leaving you trembling under her towel
  83. >You hold the ice pack to your mouth, watching Luna walk about behind you in the mirror
  84. >There was a little get together at Cadence's tonight and you were trying to get the swelling to go down
  85. >While combing Luna's mane a few minutes ago you accidentally began daydreaming and tugged a snag
  86. >It wasn't Luna's fault
  87. >It was your mistake
  88. >It was just her strength and reflexive reaction, it was only natural
  89. "Tis time, love."
  90. >Yes
  91. >The ice clatters into the basin as you loosen the towel
  92. >Its a little puffy but it shouldn't be noticible
  93. >Luna holds you closely with her strong wing
  94. >Static snaps as you cross a thousand miles in a second
  95. >A loud pop heralds your arrival at the Crystal Empire
  96. >All the Princesses are there, they exchange greetings and salutations
  97. >After about an hour of affairs in the morning sun you all sit down to breakfast together
  98. >Cadence apologizes for making Luna wait so long for her morning meal
  99. >Luna actually laughs
  100. "It is nothing, Cadence, we could hardly care at all."
  101. >You shift uncomfortably in your seat, your hip pops as the joint moves
  102. >Even though the brunch is varied and hearty you have no appetite
  103. >Your bowl of soup is hot and salty, each spoonful stinging the insides of your mouth
  104. >Luna doesn't notice, she talks to Cadence and stares at the server colts like pieces of meat
  105. >Twilight sits across from you and Luna, eagerly chatting with Celestia to your left and the couple Cadence and Shining to your right
  106. >All unicorns and Princesses they perk their pretty polished hoof booties on the edge of the table and eat with their magic
  107. >You're the only one using your spoon manually
  108. >Perhaps that caught Twilights attention, but her eye quickly shifted from you to the Princess at your side
  109. "Luna," Twilight says in her perfectly innocent voice, "you've got a big smudge on your hoof."
  110. >Luna discovers the reddish brown smudge on her bootie after direction from Twilight
  111. "Oh, we seem to have stepped in some mud."
  112. >The brush off wasn't good enough for Twilight who missed the hint entirely
  113. "I don't think that's mud, Luna. Besides, you teleported right? How did you get muddy?"
  114. >Luna laughs again, her fake laugh that you usually heard at some point before tasting her hoof
  115. "How embarrassing, Twilight. We musnt have noticed some patina on our boot. Terribly embarrassing, please forgive us Cadence."
  116. >Luna bows her head slightly at the host Princess as her magic vigorously buffs her boot clean with your napkin
  117. >Twilight accepts the excuse and moves on discussing fashion and etiquette briefly before diving back into real Princess matters
  118. >You can almost feel the coldness radiating from Luna
  119. >It was going to be a very rough day for you when you got home
  120. >The thought turns your stomach
  121. >You excuse yourself to the restroom
  122. >No sooner do you leave the hall then you hear Celestial excuse herself as well
  123. >Heart sinking you double your walking pace
  124. >Celestial matches it, a hallway behind you, steadily dogging you
  125. >Panic and anxiety eats at your heart
  126. >Skipping the bathroom you run down a hallway, unsure and uncaring where it leads
  127. >Celestias hoofsteps die off as you race up an inclined hallway
  128. >You find yourself facing the pedestal that holds the crystal heart on its open-air level
  129. >A brisk breeze blows across the elevated plaza
  130. >Along with the soft fluttering of wings
  131. >You don't even have to look
  132. >Her golden boots hit the tile with an oppressive metallic thud
  133. "My little human?"
  134. >"Your M-"
  135. "You embarrassed my sister."
  136. >Calmly and coldly she steps forward, each metallic clink ringing in the open breeze
  137. >"I-I didn't mean to-"
  138. >Steadily she walks forward, her wings flared out and low blocking you from moving left or right
  139. >You back up further and further until you are at the cusp of the tenth story ledge
  140. >Wind whistles in your ears as Celestias silence crushes you, her stern glare only a foot from your face
  141. >She steps forward but you have nowhere to go
  142. >"Please, Princess!"
  143. "Please what?"
  144. >Her voice is playful but her tone is cold
  145. "Please, don't push you?"
  146. >Another half step forward
  147. >Her chest presses into yours, your tilted cheek against her neck as she holds her head high above yours
  148. >Wings block you in, a cage that offers no protection
  149. >Heels firmly planted on the edge of the ledge you know better than to put your arms on the dominant Princess
  150. >"Yes, please, please just let me go back"
  151. "You humiliated my sister in front of two new Princesses. Do you understand what that means? Dear, sweet Luna, unable to control or command even a single little consort?"
  152. >She leans forward
  153. >You can hear her heartbeat, calm and slow in contrast to yours racing at its limit
  154. >You taste blood, your wound opens from simple blood pressure
  155. "Why shouldn't l let you fly?"
  156. >In between your stuttered promises to be a good little husband and never ever let her down again and always do what she says Celestia decides to give you one more chance
  157. "I am a good and generous Princess, little consort. I will offer you one more lesson. Don't you dare lose your composure and humiliate Luna once more or l will simply be unable to forgive you!"
  158. >She raises her voice at the end slightly as though telling a funny story or joke
  159. >Pressure leaves your chest as she backs off, cold wind kissing where the serat had formed between your bodies
  160. >Then a single forelimb kicks you in the chest off the ledge completely
  161. >Lightening flashes before you can even shout
  162. >You hit the floor outside the dining hall about as hard as falling out of bed
  163. >Celestia carelessly steps over you, your nervous jitters keeping you locked up for a few extra moments
  164. >Slinking in like a scolded puppy Cadence elbows her husband
  165. >You hear her whisper and they both giggle like schoolchildren
  166. >It seemed almost strange watching a happy married couple
  167. >You could barely remember when you and Luna were like that
  168. >Memories of happy dates and romance were like dreams or old stories you'd been told
  169. >Recollection passes the time as the table is cleared and set for the next course
  170. >Conversation dies down, the whole table tends to their food except you
  171. "Eat!"
  172. >Three voices ring out in unison
  173. >Cadence, warm and genuine
  174. >Luna, frustrated and annoyed
  175. >And Celestial, perfectly flat and neutral
  176. >It bothered you the most
  177. >Her big beautiful eyes clearly told you to obey as golden magic flowed from her horn like gentle fog
  178. >As you touch your fork your feel a static shock
  179. >Enduring it you clench it tightly in your fish, the pulsing current growing and making your motions deliberate and strained
  180. >Each bite of the food is like licking a battery as the enchanted fork clicks your teeth
  181. >Seasoned by the opening wounds in your mouth you taste only metallic blood and stinging
  182. >Brunch is a long affair, especially as you keep the fork for further courses of fruit salad and pie
  183. >Worse than the meal is the conversation
  184. >Luna tells Twilight to listen closely as she tells the newlywed how important it is to 'keep her man under control'
  185. >Cadence wholeheartedly agrees as she playfully pretends to slap Shining across the face for 'playing with his toy soldiers too long'
  186. >You can tell by how bright and cheery his laughter and their love is that she's never hit him
  187. >You can only pray she never will
