  12. >"You. Where did you come from?"
  13. "Hola! You must be ... captain Salazar, yes? I don't suppose you've any relation to a man by the name of Slytherin?"
  14. >"...No. You. You are cursed, as we are, aren't you?"
  15. "Mm, one could say so. Tends to happen, rather irritating, at that."
  16. >"Ours was caused by Sparrow. Yours, also?"
  17. "No, mine was a bit more ... extenuating circumstances. I thought I'd left this world but I was dragged back in. Jackie boy's not to blame for this."
  18. >"But you know him. Are you then... a pirate?"
  19. "Nay, I've always been an honest man. He was a pain in my neck, but this must have been, what, twenty years ago now? Possibly more. You look as though you're all in a great deal of pain, though."
  20. >"Every moment."
  21. "Well, suppose we've got that in common. Well! This isn't the ghost first ship I've sailed on, though the Flying Dutchman was definitely no cakewalk. Do you have need of a navigator, captain?"
  22. >"A navigator- the compass! Sparrow's compass?"
  23. "Nay, sir, mine own. Far more reliable. Because there's nothing I'd like more right now than to find my way out of here... and Jack Sparrow is going to give away his compass in about two minutes."
  24. >"If you speak the truth... we do have such an opening."
  25. "Oh, good. Basically, sail straight in... that direction, that's our ticket out. After that, I'll be happy to talk to you all about dealing with this curse of ours..."
  26.
  27. Consider the possibility: if you can eliminate some of the restrictions of such a curse, break it on those desiring a full return to life or simply the release of death, and maintain a form of immortality for those who desire it... while simultaneously applying your own twist to ensure that they'll have gradual regeneration from wounds so long as they desire to walk the Earth... or rather, sail the seas, as the case may be... would you grant it to them?
  28.
  29. I would. And quite frankly it surprised me how very few chose to retain the curse in ANY form. Five of the crew, actually; some wanted to see what the world had to offer, Salazar became a marauding would-be ghost that chased pirates.
  30.
  31. I just sailed around the world for shits and giggles, personally, and laughed my fool head off when the plot went off the rails so hard that it drowned.
