background: chaeri was born and raised in the city of gwangju where her family was known in her area for being computer geniuses. her parents often worked from home stringing codes together for their jobs. chaeri and her brother were always curious so they learnt while their parents work. somewhere along the lines of learning how to code for advanced games, she picked up a liking for hacking. she spent 2 years teaching herself while her brother continued coding games until he landed a job in a game software company at the young age of 20. when chaeri was 16, she liked to cause trouble at school with her newly acquired skills. she was often called for detention after she remotely set fire alarms off. much loved by the student body for false alarms (and classes cut short because of that), she has a considerable circle of friends but all in honesty, she was not close with anyone in particular thus it was easier for her to cut ties. when she was 18, she was expelled for hacking into the school database to change the grades of those who cheated on final exams to an f. her parents were obviously disappointed with her and sent her to live with her aunt in the bustling city of seoul and study at a private school. her aunt was also in the internet business and was in fact the only family member who approved of her skills and recommended chaeri to her boss.
personality: chaeri loves a bit of mischief and can be seen in the corner silently plotting her next prank. she is a carefree and cheerful person almost 24/7. despite her mischievous and merciless demeanor, she loves seeing people smile and would go lengths to make them happy, even if she has to be embarrassing. she usually succeeds when she cracks a few lame jokes that has people cringing and laughing at the same time. at first glance, chaeri seems unbearable because she always has something to say. she screams really loudly, half the time she's shook and the other half is just her being her; overly hyper and high on sugar, there's no in-between. she likes to contribute to discussions but that doesn't mean she doesn't stop to think about what to do or say which is why she's often seen with meme-worthy faces as she thinks. chaeri is almost always daydreaming and will not notice her surroundings a lot. this usually means she's always walking into solid walls or slipping (into the diamond life) down stairs. also, her 128gb brain likes to store useless things in it like vines and facts no one needs to know. once in a while, she will quote something her brain stored even if it's old from like 5 years ago and no one finds it funny anymore. she really tries to be funny but like, no one listens to her.
