(accused may only run into exile before the vote is finished and before he does a popular appeal, he can't gain income or vote and loses all influence and popularity + any concession. 131.
132. The Metilian Conspiracy (Catilinian conspiracy event)
133.
134. Conspiracy event (card has been drawn, based on Cataline Conspiracy, this has been sent to everyone in Reformatio)
135.
136. A plot by Reformatio diehards has been formed and now they propose it to you as the leaders. It has 4 key points
137.
138.
139. Point 1)Legio Evocati II Victrix and Legio VII Gallica are unhappy with affairs after Fenix's death and have encamped themselves in Etruria (north italy). They want to swear loyalty to a new leader as long as they overthrow the current Senate. This person will leave Rome at the end of Combat Phase and present himself to them. He may at that point raise new legions immediately, 10 talents each. He will use this army to march on Rome at once.
140.
141.
142. Point 2) A tribe of gauls in Narbonese Gaul called the Allobroges have sent emissaries to the senate multiple times requesting more autonomy but have been routinely ignored. They may be open to providing assistance with your conspiracy if given autonomy (making narbonese gaul impossible to develop) and may provide a random number of armies
143.
144. Point 3) As a way to secure the loyalty of the Romans after this shocking event, the conspirators have promised to repay all their debts (upon capturing of Rome you must pay 70 talents from the state treasury faction bank if necessary) This will increase all reformatio members popularity by 4, if you don't it will all go to -10 and unrest will increase by +6
145.
146. Point 4) To reduce the leadership of the enemy in this conspiracy, 3 assassins have been readied to target one individual. (3 free assassination cards). Additionally, the assassination are so well planned only on a 1 or less will the spymaster be implicated. There is a chance they will be warned of it
147.
148. Each faction member must decide which role they want to fill in the plot, only plot leader is mandatory:
149.
150. Plot Leader (mandatory) Caught: Maximus Metilius (Deus VultXx): will lead the army, gains Legio II and Legio VII as veterans
151. Master of Horse : will provide extra command in the battle
152. Ambassador to Gauls Caught: Gnaeus Caecilius (4nic): this person will go to the Allobroge tribe and try to recruit as many as possible, higher military skill is better(1-3 armies). Will also secure Cisalpine Gaul and Narbonese as fallback provinces in the case the attack on Rome fails.
153. Plebeian Relations Officer ? Unknown ?: this person will try to talk down the debt repayment to the plebs by -10 to -40 (based on oratory)
154. Spymaster? Unknown ?: This person will orchestrate the assassination attempt this turn
155.
156.
157. ~~~
158.
159. If you ACCEPT this plot, the Populares know of this plot vaguely, only the names of the roles. They will try to guess who has what role after they send the consul proposal. If they guess their role correctly he is imprisoned and will be tried for TREASON next turn. But if you successfully manage to take Rome in Combat Phase they will be freed by the plot leader anyway. If they guess the plot leader the plot is ruined.
160.
161. ~~~
162.
163. If you REFUSE the plot or back out later your underlings will be very unhappy and betray you to the Populares on spurious charges to save themselves. Basically, every Reformatio will be a candidate for a regular Major Prosecution, regardless of if you hold a political position or not.
