  1. 14:18:10 Chrono|GM: The Humane Republic of The Quay is a new settlement, rife with turmoil. Was a tiny province in a tiny empire all held together by this one cape from Florida, unlimited self-duplication or something. Well, someone figured out how to off him, so he got offed, half of the provinces went to wasteland without someone to take care of the people living th
  2. 14:18:10 Chrono|GM: ere, half of 'em banded up and settled somewhere else, and a few smatterings decided they could make it if they stayed where they are. They're not a terribly welcoming group, and god help you if they catch wind you've got powers, but they buy up water like nobody's business. Well, your business. It is, after all, what you do. >>

  4. 14:23:11 Chrono|GM: The first time you passed through, heading for a slightly more mercantile city closer to where Florida was, you noticed how insular it was. Since then you've noticed its opened up slightly, some shops catering to outsiders, a handful of rooms to spend the night, if you know who to ask. The weeds grow thick through some places in the shattered concr

  7. 14:26:37 Chrono|GM: A marketplace sits half in the shadow of one such pile, jagged and coarse even after a year or two in the rain, tented pavilions keeping the sun off, grey ash, grit or dust littering anything thats spent too long near the piles. Somewhere near the rubble, in a faded blue-canvas tent, you know, will be an exchanger, who'll swap water and local coina

  9. 14:29:12 Firlz|Rump: I look for the exchanger, might as well unload the water now before I see about gettting rid of the metals.

  12. 14:33:30 Chrono|GM: The walk through the marketplace is, against most odds, a pleasant affair. The wind is low but decent, a slight overcast takes the edge off the beaming heat, as does the canvas. The tanks take a decent effort, but once they're on the ground, they roll on the bolted-on wheels well enough. A rolling tank in each hand, you set off into the market. >>
  13. 14:38:30 Chrono|GM: The winding, stunted pathways are not in the best repair, and jostle your tanks a number of times. Its manageable, but you turn off into dead-ends a few more times than you like to admit. After a few minutes of determined effort, and a few minutes of casual searching, you find a faded grey-blue canvas up against a standing brick wall, closer to the

Whoever is running the place has a taste for material wealth and demonstrating it. 33. 15:45:39 Firlz|Rump: Noting that he went DOWN in price from his last bid (90 shines at his stated conversion would be 36 dollars) "If haggling is an insult, then I'll just have to go elsewhere. I can do enough math do know when someone lowers their bid entirely."||
