Overall Stream and Casual Things I Will Forget About.

Figured I'd mention some overall stream plans for next year.

The Big(hopefully) SMB3 Warpless Tourney: Plans are still being worked on, but I plan to announce the official start date within a week or so, might do a special stream for it as well. I'm hoping that it will draw a good crowd, both from the established community and from newer runners looking to run the game. Even if it ends up being smaller, I'm still going to do my best to run a good tournament, but I really hope we see a big turnout.

An Actual Schedule? I'd like to try and set up actual times for when I'll be streaming. Having an inconsistent schedule doesn't really do much good for myself to reach my streaming goals, or for viewers who want to watch. I'll be honest, this is going to be a tough thing to do; a lot of days I get done with work and I just have no desire to stream, but maybe if I set up some sort of schedule I'll get a stronger desire. This will be a major WIP throughout the year and I may just end up scrapping it if I find I'm constantly forcing myself to stream when I don't want to. Impromptu dumb races or other streams will still happen, but I'd like to set basically a base minimum for how/when I'm going to stream.

Dedicated Speedrunning and Casual Days: To go along with and help facilitate having an actual schedule, I'd like to get a rotation of speedrun/casual streams. I'm terrible at saying "I'm going to stream this next" and then streaming something completely different, so I'm going to set out specific days where I'll be doing speedrun attempts/practice of whatever I happen to be working on, and days where I'll be starting/continuing a casual playthrough or playing something like CSD or FTL, etc. I think this will be better for myself in keeping me doing the things I want to do, as well as better for you guys to have an idea of what to look out for if you like specific streams more than others.

Finishing up the Metroid game list: I started with Metroid for the NES a long long time ago, and it tends to be a long time between playthroughs, but I'd like to finish checking out the rest of the Metroids through the GC era, so Fusion, Zero Mission, and Prime 1 and 2. I don't have any good methods to stream Prime 3 or Other M, but at the same time I don't have any real desire to play either of those anyways lol.

Gamecube Game of the Month(ish): A long long long long time ago I mentioned doing a monthlong Gamecube showcase of sorts, where I play through some of my favorites as well as check out some titles I may have missed along the way. I made a list and honestly there were just too many games to fit it in one month, so what I'm going to do is trim the list down to 12ish games, and play through 1 of them every month. Some of these games will be first time playthroughs, others might be twists on games I've done before. I'll probably end up with more games on the list than I could reasonably fit, so I'll probably throw out a Strawpoll at some point to see what you guys would be interested in.

Ok, I think that's everything in terms of big picture stream stuff and casual things. Next week or so, I'll put out a list of speedrunning goals for next year, since I haven't quite ironed out exactly what I want to focus on just yet.
