- Forced ar for standard effects difficulty of the song whether or not it physically changes. There are multiple songs that would become easier or more difficult by lowering ar and vice versa. Even if it comes down to preference, the difficulty is still affected. Forcing ar would change the whole pp point system, it wouldn't work 😂 I also feel like this is a deja vu 🤔 and I feel like I type a lot 🤔 I also think I like this emote 🤔

- and I will 100% always draw the parallel to guitar hero's hyperspeed, just changing the way it's presented (besides extremes of like AR0 or 11) wouldn't change difficulty at all

- It'll diminish the value of 90% of ar10 + maps and allow for easier pp gains if people could select which ar per song. I can name multiple 400 pp maps I can beat if it were less ar.

- If it inflates pp gains for everyone then it's literally pointless. The whole point of osu standard isn't just the ability to aim and tap, it's the ability to aim, tap and react, if you have lower ar all the time because it's "non-beneficial" and doesn't effect pp gain, then why would you ever seek to improve reaction time when you can just stay at ar 8.5 forever. The whole point of different ar's is not only different styles of songs like streaming, jumping, technical, etc, but to allow people to fluctuate reaction times both slow and fast. If you can only ar 10 and can't do 8-10 or 10+ then your eyes haven't adjusted to reading multiple speeds. Which is why there are different ars, to fluctuate the reaction times of both slow and fast, small and larg, jumps and stream, sliders and w/e, etc. Making ar adjustable would defeat a huge competitive purpose of the whole game. And i guarantee if I ask that to multiple 20k-top 100 players they would majority say it shouldn't be changed

- By that logic, if you could physically play hyperspeed then that means you ARE good, by the logic that saying speed doesn't matter or saying that hyperspeed on or off doesn't matter then that says you're not good, basically meaning if someone FCd a song with HYperspeed or w/o it makes no difference. You definitely were good at GH if you could do hyperspeed or click at the speed you could

- LOL, yea but gh, and osu are different because osu has another aspect that gh has and that's the aiming aspect which makes reacting more "different" because the brain has to focus on an extra task. Just because you can only read hs doesn't mean you were bad, it just means you had no "variety" in a sense, to your reaction. Which is exactly why AR should affect pp gains. To show they really do physically apply that difficulty.
