  1. KAT'S IC CHEAT SHEET:
  2. ---------------------
  3. All IC attacks are (Host Rating*2) [Host Attack]. This final part is very important.
  4. While a Host Rating of 8 means they'd have a 16 dice pool, which is quite terrifying indeed, the max attack limit for a Rating 8 Host is (Host Rating+3), which would limit the 16 dice to a maximum of 11 successes.
  5.
  6. Acid:
  7. Attack Resist: Willpower + Firewall
  8. Acid does not straight away cause damage. Rather, when it beats your resist test by at least one net hit, it reduces your firewall by 1.
  9. Acid can only deal 1DV Matrix damage per net hit once your firewall has been reduced to 0.
  10. This reduction can be reverted by rebooting your device.
  11.
  12. Binder:
  13. Attack Resist: Willpower + Data Processing
  14. Binder does the same as Acid except against your Data Processing. Same rules apply.
  15.
  16. Black IC:
  17. Attack Resist: Intuition + Firewall
  18. Black IC is serious business. It doesn't just wanna kick you out of a host, it wants you dead.
  19. On a successful hit, it link-locks you and causes the Host's attack rating to you in both Matrix damage (+1DV per net hit and +2DV per mark).
  20. It also deals biofeedback damage equal to the Matrix damage it deals before resists.
  21.
  22. Blaster:
  23. Attack Resist: Logic + Firewall
  24. Blaster operates on the same principle as Black IC, except its biofeedback damage is stun damage instead of physical damage.
  25.
  26. Bloodhound:
  27. Attack Resist: (Mode Dependant - See Patrol, or Probe, or Track)
  28. Bloodhound is a hybrid of Patrol, Probe and Track IC.
  29. It'll patrol like a Patrol IC until it detects illegal activity.
  30. When illegal activity is detected, it switches to Probe mode and will try to place marks on you.
  31. When there are two or more marks, it acts like Track and reports your physical location to the Host and its owners.
  32.
  33. Catapult:
  34. Attack Resist: Intuition + Firewall OR Logic + Firewall (Defender's Choice)
  35. Catapult is a hybrid of Acid IC and Blaster IC.
  36. When hit, it reduces the the targets Firewall rating by 1.
  37. It also deals (net hits) in Stun damage to the target via biofeedback.
  38. Unlike Blaster, however, Catapult does not link-lock you.
  39.
  40. Crash:
  41. Attack Resist: Intuition + Firewall
  42. If Crash lands a hit on you and its host has a mark on you, a random Program crashes.
  43. Programs crashed this way can't be run again until after a reboot.
  44.
  45. Jammer:
  46. Attack Resist: Willpower + Attack
  47. Jammer does the same as Acid and Binder except against your Attack. Same rules apply.
  48.
  49. Killer:
  50. Killer deals the Host's attack rating as Matrix Damage (+1 DV per net hit and +2 DV per mark).
  51.
  52. Marker:
  53. Marker does the same as Acid, Binder and Jammer, except against your Sleaze. Same rules apply.
  54.
  55. Patrol:
  56. Attack Resist: Patrol Does Not Attack
  57. Patrol IC is more of an agent than an intrusion countermeasure.
  58. Patrol IC roams Hosts, performing Matrix Perception tests and trying to snoop out anybody performing illegal actions.
  59. While placing a mark using Brute Force of Hack on the Fly is illegal, having a mark on something is not.
  60.
  61. Probe:
  62. Attack Resist: Intuition + Firewall
  63. Probe's task is to mark intruders for other IC.
  64. Each successful attack by Probe deals no damage but places a mark on you, up to a maximum of three.
  65. If you have three marks and Probe hits you again, you forcably reboot and take dumpshock if you're in VR.
  66.
  67. Scramble:
  68. Attack Resist: Willpower + Firewall
  69. Scramble does the same as Probe, except it can't place marks on its own.
  70.
  71. Shocker:
  72. Attack Resist: Intuition + Firewall
  73. When Shocker hits its target, instead of doing Matrix damage, it reduces its target's initiative score by 5.
  74.
  75. Sparky:
  76. Attack Resist: Intuition + Firewall
  77. Sparky is a Black IC version of the Killer.
  78. It causes the Host's Attack rating as Matrix Damage (+1DV per net hit and +2DV per mark), and the same as biofeedback damage.
  79.
  80. Tar Baby:
  81. Attack Resist: Logic + Firewall
  82. Tar Baby link-locks you when it hits. If you're already link-locked, it puts a mark on you, up to a maximum of three marks.
  83.
  84. Track:
  85. Attack Resist: Willpower + Sleaze
  86. If Track hits you and the Host has two or more marks on you, the host (and its owners) discover your physical location, which is usually reported to real-world authorities.
