  1. >>Double arrow signifies written text
  2. >>”Quoted double arrow is Lyrica, that note-based picture and concept association language.”
  3. Let’s see how this works. If there is a better way to signify change of language, please do not hesitate to suggest it.
  4.
  5. >One hoof-crafted suit.
  6. >That was all you asked for.
  7. >For some reason, you have a suit, a tie, and some little boot things that go over your fuckhuge ones.
  8. >She thought they were your feet, apparently.
  9. >Really you should stop wearing them everywhere, but teleportation is a pretty rad ability to have…even if you’re running on whatever battery you’ve had since you left Earth/Equestria/wherever the fuck Discord was.
  10. >Recovering your tech was OK, but it didn’t do you much good right now.
  11. >After all…
  12. >Today was when Celestia was to arrive.
  13. >Yeah you were a little worried with that meeting, but so far your track record held around 50/50 for the sanity of the sun princesses.
  14. >You did not want to see Molestia ever again.
  15. >Ever.
  16. >”Is something wrong?”
  17. >You realize that you have been shaking your head.
  18. >>"Uhh, no nothing is wrong."
  19. >>"Well come on and hurry on upstairs, we've got to be extra-ready for the princess!"
  20. >>”Yeah, just let me finish and I’ll be right up.”
  21. >You quickly finish with the tie and boot-boots, then hustle on up the stairs.
  22. >You note with regret that the Megaman sound effect you made while walking is nonexistent with the little boot covers on.
  23. >You miss that sound effect already.
  24. >>”Alright, I’m here. Good morning Lyra, Bon Bon.”
  25. >”He says good morning, Bon Bon!”
  26. >”Great. Good morning, moocher.”
  27. >”Bon Bon, he’s TOTALLY contributing! Without him, my theories would be debunked like before. Princess CELESTIA is coming HERE to see him and all my findings on humans! He’s my source of income, and by extension he is contributing.”
  28. >She raises an eyebrow at Lyra.
  29. >”Is that all Anonymous is to you?”
  30. >”Well…he’s my friend too.”
  31. >”Yeah, uh huh, sure.”
  32. >>”Don’t mind Bon Bon, she’s just a little testy today.”
  33. >>”Right, well let’s dig in, eh?”
  34. >Breakfast is quiet for once, and when you’re done, you start washing the plates.
  35. >”Well good luck impressing the princess, minty flank.”
  36. >”BON BON!”
  37. >Bon Bon snickers for a bit.
  38. >”And don’t forget, ice cream melts in the sun.”
  39. >”Oh you’ll get yours, candy-ass.”
  40. >”What. Did. You. Call. Me?”
  41. >>”Candy. Ass.”
  42. >You burst into laughter.
  43. >”Ohhh, no, you don’t get to go speaking in tongues there, Lyra. Best to check yourself, before I wreck your self.”
  44. >>”Bon Bon the Destroyer is a better nickname, I think.”
  45. >Now Lyra cracks up.
  46. >>”B-Bon Bon the des-destroyer? Ha! What does she decimate, cake?”
  47. >You continue to laugh until Bon Bon herself gets up to slug you in the arm.
  48. >She had learned the hard way not to aim for the shiny shoes.
  49. “Ow!”
  50. >”Yeah, that’s what you get, Anon.”
  51. >>”She does remember I can’t understand her without translations, right?”
  52. >>”She says that’s what you get.”
  53. >You roll your eyes and ruffle Bon Bon’s mane.
  54. >”Hey!”
  55. “Have fun while it lasts, Bonnie.”
  56. >”He does know I can’t understand him without translations, right?”
  57. >Lyra laughs so hard that the coffee she was drinking shoots out her nose.
  58. >”HAHA-OW-HAHAHAAA!”
  59. >”What is it NOW, Lyra? Did I say something funny?”
  60. >”You both! You both said like, the same things about each other!”
  61. >Lyra repeats the phrase in Lyrica, and you look at Bon Bon, who is already staring at you with confusion on her face.
  62. >>”No way is that true.”
  63. >”No way is that true, Lyra.”
  64. >Lyra just sets the cup down, wide-eyed.
  65. >In Equestrian and Lyrica: “Did you two plan this?”
  66. >>”Plan what?”
  67. >”I didn’t plan anything with this knucklehead.”
  68. >”Hmm. Ok. Well bye bye Bon Bon.”
  69. >>”Anon, let’s go get ready and set up my thesis boards. Hey, maybe we can get Celestia to teach the others Lyrica and get it as a published form of language!”
  70. >She squees at the thought and practically leaps from the table.
  71. “At least she’s happy.”
  72. >You wave to Bon Bon as you head out the door behind the bouncing green mare.
  73. >No sooner do you step outside then a carriage led by two golden-armored pegasi touch down with the Princess inside.
  74. >You gulp.
  75. >>“Showime.”
  76. >”Lyra Heartstrings, it is a pleasure to meet with you today.”
  77. >You and Lyra bow…well, you kneel. Same difference. No need to piss off a princess, don’t know which kind we’re talkin here. Molestia, Tyrant, Troll or peaceful.
  78. >”Rise, my little p0ny…and human guest.”
  79. >Well so far so goo-
  80. >”What exactly gave you the right to come into my lands without warning or the proper paperwork?”
  81. “Ffffffff…”
  82. >uck. You know that tone of voice.
  83. >”Um, if I may interject princess…it’s my fault.”
  84. >”Explain, Heartstrings.”
  85. >”Well you see, while on the p0nynet I found a chatroom that linked the dimensions…”
  86. >Celestia nods, but her face remains unreadable.
  87. >”And Anonymous and I met there, and one day I said maybe he could spend the night if he came to visit…but I didn’t expect him to actually get here, I mean, I was thinking maybe the other guy would come out of…uh…getting off track.” She clears her throat and shifts uncomfortably. “Where was I…ah, ahem, well he’s here and I made good on my promise…I didn’t know there was paperwork.”
  88. >”Understandable, Lyra, but what if he had bore ill will towards you or any of my little ponies? Could you have forgiven yourself?”
  89. >”No…”
  90. >“Why does Anonymous not speak for himself?”
  91. >”Ah, well because he can’t.”
  92. >”Oh…?”
  93. >>”She says you should speak for yourself, but what am I supposed to do?”
  94. >>”Show her the language thing!”
  95. >”Oh, right! Princess, to communicate with him, since our languages are different, I first tried to decode it using…this!”
  96. >Lyra levitates the book with Equestrian and common and English out.
  97. “Where did you pull that out from?”
  98. >”What did he just say?”
  99. >Lyra rolls her eyes.
  100. >>”What did you say, and please do not interrupt again.”
  101. >>”Just asked where you pulled it out from.”
  102. >She rolls her eyes again in exasperation and goes back to talking to Celestia.
  103. >”Well he didn’t see where I got the book out from, it was in my bag, of cou-”
  104. >Lyra is not wearing a bag.
  105. >”Uhhhh…”
  106. >Celestia has a small grin.
  107. >”Do continue, Heartstrings.”
  108. >Lyra smiles sheepishly and places the book in Celestia’s telekinetic grasp.
  109. >”But the book, while it has 2 new languages fully decoded, isn’t what he can speak anymore. Anon is a dimensional traveler, and one time he ran into Discord, who ripped out his language thingy, so now he just spouts nonsense that isn’t in any language.”
  110. >Celestia looks surprised to have Discord mentioned, but does not say anything.
  111. >”Soooo I made up this NEW language, Lyrica! I uh, I know I have those notes somewhere…”
  112. >She looks to you and then looks around herself.
  113. >Taking that leap of faith, you, without looking, reach over her and grab at the pages in question from behind Lyra.
  114. >Surprise surprise, you found em.
  115. >Huh. It’s like an x-dimension that works completely upon suspension of disbelief.
  116. >You hand the papers to Lyra, who take them in one hoof.
  117. >You open your mouth to comment on the impossibility of hoof dexterity and grabbing, but instead zip yer lips shut.
  118. >”Haha, yes, well here is the language so far, princess.”
  119. >Celestia lifts those as well as the book and begins to sift and sort through them all.
  120. >”This is quite complex work Lyra, ar you sure your cutie mark isn’t that of a linguist?”
  121. >Lyra blushes.
  122. >”Oh…no, this was almost all complete, I only wrote Lyrica…”
  123. >”Still the progress on this is amazing. I would like you to perhaps teach this to Philomena at a later date.”
  124. >She begins to splay the pages out to get a better look.
  125. >”This is extraordinary…a picture association language of music, which even creatures who could not talk before could learn! And this along with the proof of humans you sought after for so long…I believe you are going places, little Hearstrings.”
  126. >”Oh my gosh….I don’t know what to say! Thank you, princess Celestia!”
  127. >”You are welcome to the Canterlot Research Facility at any time you please…ad while you’re at it, you might want to get…Anonymous here a checkup. Then we’ll work on immigration forms, hmm?”
  128. >Lyra is literally bouncing about like Pinkie Pie with giddy excitement.
  129. >She hobbles on her hind legs and places her hooves in your hands and spins around with you.
  130. >”WOOHOO!”
  131. >You share in her mirth, chuckling and dancing with her until she trips over one of your boots and you lean in to catch her in a dip motion.
  132. >”Uhh…”
  133. “Uhh…”
  134. >You stand there frozen, looking into Lyra’s saucer sized gold-orange eyes until you notice a tint of red across her muzzle.
  135. >You place her right-side up and stand again, embarrassed. You were just friends now, but of course…you wanted that to change.
  136. >You look to the princess, who just gives you a raised eyebrow, a smirk and a conspiratorial wink.
  137. >>”Anon, your face is really red…are you sunburned?”
  138. >>”No.”
  139. >>”Let’s just…get ready to go to Canterlot, then.”
  140. >>”Yeah.”
  141. End part3
