  2. 10:28 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: CORP
  3. 10:28 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Crossover RP.
  4. 10:29 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: :V
  5. 10:30 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: A project by the U.S. government, meant to create a new dimension as a platform to explore other dimensions, goes incredibly wrong.
  6. 10:33 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: So it's sort of like a bubble meant to cross over into other ones.
  7. 10:33 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Government scientists manage to build a portal to 'dimension X', a completely blank slate. Complete nothingness. In order to give it some semblence of recognition and life, they have to pull actual pieces of Earth into the dimension, giving it those qualities, properties, etc.
  8. 10:35 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: They build smaller portal devices across the globe in hopes of recreating an earth-like haven. They begin to explore the possibility of unlimited resources, space for population, etc.
  9. 10:36 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: However, complications prevent things and people from leaving the dimension. The portals act as a sort of black hole, sucking things in, and no one is able to find a way back out.
  10. 10:38 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Suddenly, things go haywire, and pushing their limits causes the devices to alter space-time. People from different time periods are erased, locations are swallowed, and history is tampered with.
  11. 10:38 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: The government buries the project, and decide never to tamper with the tech again.
  12. 10:39 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: decides*
  13. 10:40 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: The 'Dimension X' is referred to as Purgatory, the Twilight Zone, or whatever else people can relate it to. It's aspects of Earth intertwined with the concious thought of its inhabitants.
  14. 10:42 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: On the server, the average player would be someone from some recent time period, probably 1980s-present. Everyone 'spawns' into the world at Ground Zero, the device they built that matched the portal used to get into the dimension.
  15. 10:42 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: People can still spawn into the world at any given time, due to the irrelevance of time, despite the government destroying the probes.
  16. 10:46 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Yes?
  17. 10:48 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: Back, sorry.
  18. 10:48 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: Also, yes. I like your ideas quite a bit. Holy shit.
  19. 10:48 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: I could never come up with that that quickly.
  20. 10:48 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: I took a shower, if that explains anything.
  21. 10:49 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Anyway, a cool thing we could do, probably on a case-by-case basis,
  22. 10:49 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: would be to allow characters from other RP servers to crossover into the dimension.
  23. 10:50 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: o:
  24. 10:50 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: It wouldn't interrupt anything on the other server, because it could just follow a multiverse theory, where a different version of their character was transported.
  25. 10:50 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: Nine Eight gets vacuumed into this universe.
  26. 10:51 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: But it would be kind of a novelty if terminators and stalkers and civil protection get sucked into one place.
  27. 10:52 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: I think we should use it sparingly.
  28. 10:52 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Yes, of course.
  29. 10:52 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: Or at least, make sure we're very broad from what universes we draw from.
  30. 10:52 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: stress
  31. 10:52 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: probably on a case-by-case basis,
  32. 10:52 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: Yeah.
  33. 10:52 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: ^^^^^^^^^^^^
  34. 10:52 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: I mean,
  35. 10:53 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: For regular characters that people might do anyway, like Masa or whomever,
  36. 10:53 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: I think that's fine.
  37. 10:53 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: So long as they didn't have extensive knowledge of stuff.
  38. 10:53 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: I would foresee problems with people crafting plasma guns and stun batons.
  39. 10:54 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: I would actually think just generic people from post-apocalyptic futures would work.
  40. 10:54 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Mhm.
  41. 10:54 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: So even minus the crafting stuff, people like Ollie or Lewis would be interesting crossovers.
  42. 10:54 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: Ollie would be like "Holy shit how does this thing work?"
  43. 10:55 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Mhm.
  44. 10:56 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: We can even crossover existing media and literature, and have it be completely IC.
  45. 10:56 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: Well, that's what I meant. People from 1920's Chicago.
  46. 10:56 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: WW2 Bombers.
  47. 10:56 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: Shelock Holmes.
  48. 10:56 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: Neanderthals.
  49. 10:57 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Like, if we purposely pulled something out of a Stephen King book, and did it on the server, it could be a literal IC crossover.
  50. 10:57 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: I think one day we should do The Mist.
  51. 10:57 PM - Chief of the Mongoose Tribe: On rp_silenthill.
  52. 10:57 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: That'd be fun.
  53. 10:57 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: The idea is, the dimension was designed to reflect what it absorbs.
  54. 10:59 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: So it can essentially read their conciousness, their fears, their dreams, their personalities. Mash it up and blur it across an environment, and that's the logic behind it.
  55. 10:59 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: The fun part about it not being a 'real' place is that we can use essentially whatever map we want.
  56. 11:00 PM - Turkey the Rogue Entity: Like those floating island maps, or something too odd for TRP.
