I've seen SK and some other runners do this for a while, and I like the concept of being able to put thoughts down so I figured I'd give it a shot.

I got back from my job at camp on the 29th and started running Fast Rolling for my friend LegitimatePotato, who has wanted to me to run it for a while now. It's strictly a meme game since it has a terrible physics engine and non-deterministic physics, which means getting a good time is largely based on luck. On the second day I finished a run of 17:40, and then like half an hour later got a really lucky run to PB by over 10 minutes. I did runs for a couple hours after that but just ended up getting frustrated. Pretty sure I'm done with that game forever.

A few days later my GBP finally came in and I tried to get GBI set up with the Action Replay I ordered. Unfortunately I found out my GC is the newer DOL-101 model, which means most ARs don't work on it. I was pretty bummed but then Citreous told me I could use the Home Bros. exploit to launch GBI from Melee, which I had heard of, but for some reason I thought only worked with the Japanese disc. With this knowledge I got everything set up, which also included my first venture into Wii homebrew, and started streaming KatAM any%. I've been using a janky phone mirroring setup since my GV-USB2 hasn't come in yet. It's worked decently though and I've knocked out three PBs in the last three days, lowering my PB from 31:52 to 30:47. I feel like getting console has really helped my gameplay, because before it I was stuck at 31:52 on emu for quite some time. :p

I'll be racing KNiDL any% vs Rox and Jayhawker for the Runs to Reunite marathon on Friday. I did a casual run on GBP where the reduced input lag caused me to miss 80% of my goal games, but I still got a 41:48 so I think derusting on Thursday should be enough. After that run though, I'll be basically gone out at camp again until the 25th, at which point I'll start working on Star Allies any%.
