Reasoning: Some people have bad days. Some people have awful days. And then there's Asphodel, who just found out his mother died, then watched his Grandpa go on a berserk rampage and then basically ignore him, and then watched his other mother go on a berserk rampage and die- after he had tried to talk her down and stop things from escalating. (Which got him horrifically injured at his own parental unit's hands in a stunning show of what child protective services calls 'domestic abuse'.)

He endured it all; almost numb by the end of it, before Anahel found him, healed him, and was moderately pleasant to him. He's still soaking in what happened, but a quirk of his biology has begun to act up in response. The emotions are brewing inside of him; and he is further agitating his own unstable state by pushing himself into training alongside Letta, Cacke, and anyone else willing shortly afterwards; for why would he not?

The days trauma has stirred his resolve and wounded his heart; as a man who once had two goals, finds one of them changing.

1) Learn and gather as much data and power as possible
2) Eliminate all traces of the Makai realm from the ARC systematically to avenge Jorm

True- Mimi was akin to a parent to him. But she is also the one that his highly rational mind can eventually equate to the reason that Jorm was caught up in demonic matters- and those demonic matters killed Jorm. She saw how reveling in Sin and wrath drove Mimi to strike at him, and to cause mass destruction and chaos. The events of the day have broken through what was once an icey shell of reserved intellect; and filled him with a steadily building fury.

It's part the osmosis his kind perform drinking in a bit of Sefahn and a bit of Mimi, part the result of an absurdly young child being on the battlefield and experiencing this kind of trauma in his highly formative years, part the hyper rapid evolution of his species pushing him to adapt to a world that drastically overpowers him and leaves him little hope of survival if he does not.
