- On a camping trip, he got lost in the woods while having a “bad trip” on magic mushrooms and was accosted by sinister phantom-like demonic beings that hissed out a series of malevolent black-magic curses in static-distorted electronic whispers and he was teleported to a parallel universe where he wandered a maze-like network of mirror-walled tunnels in search of the dimensional portal that would bring him home. His lonely search through the mirror-world seemed interminable and finally he decided to abandon his quest, physically and existentially exhausted, lying supine and lifeless on the ground with his reflection speeding off into infinity along the labyrinth’s endless corridors and suddenly he felt great cosmic energies coursing through his body and he knew the portal was being opened and the journey back to everyday reality had begun. He awoke in a ditch the next morning and began the walk back to the campsite, haunted by thoughts of evil demonic beings and eternal exile in a desolate alternate reality, sincerely hoping his friends hadn’t suffered similarly hellish trips last night.
