Jiaoying grew up in Beijing China. When she was 18 she moved to Jeju Island to help her with her uncles fishing business for extra cash. She visited her family back in China during the winter and on holidays though. She would always be teased by her siblings since she was the youngest.
Her uncle noticed how she liked to sing and started to give her extra cash to help her audition for companies. At first she wasn’t accpeted since companies we’re accepting foreign trainees at the time and her korean was shaky. She almost gave up to go back to fishing but BLU Entertainment found talent in her from seeing her other auditions and allowed her into the company.
