1.
2. >"There's something else I need to tell you; ever since you stopped speaking to him he's been very sad. Could you please talk to him once again?"
3. >She looks at me with the same expression of mild sadness she had during our conversation
4. >"Yes, you're right, I souldn't have started avoiding him in the first place, and I'm sorry for being so weird to you these last day" she says
5. >"Do you know where's Norman? I need to apologize to him too" You sure need to, you don't know how sad he has been lately
6. >"He's somewhere around the school, running away from an angry mob"
7. >"Typical" she smiles.
8. >Come on Rarity, this is no laughing matter, it may happen to him all the time but it shouldn't happen at all in the first place
9. >As she goes looking for Norman I follow her. just to see if I can be of help
10. >When she finally finds him, he was still running from the mob; though he had distanced himself a lot from them
11. >Norman's face graced the world with a smile I had never seen during the days I spent with him
12. >He really is in love with her
13. >My chest tightens as I witness the scene
14. >I want to be the reason to that smile
15. >As the crowd of pursuers draws near Norman he begins running again
16. >This is the time to be assertive again
17. >Just as he's about to run past me I jump on his way, make him stop and grab his arm
18. >"Yellow let me go, they'll beat me up" he says while he struggles to get me to release him. But despite his look of terror, he's limiting his strength so as to not make me feel pain
19. >"Well done Fluttershy, now we'll kick his ass for you" some guys from the mob shout
20. >"Why Yellow, why?" he asks as if he was about to cry
21. >Don't worry, this time I'll confront my fears and protect you, just as you did with me
22. >"Stop right there you big meanies" I stand my ground between Norman and them "it's because of this kind of behavior that Norman had to lie back there"
23. >"So are you going out?" one of the guys asks
24. >"No we're not" why do they even care? "Norman acted as if he hated me because he thought you would act like this with me if I was associated with him"
25. >"But he was so mean before" the crowd responds
26. >"Has he ever done anything to you despite all the mean things you've done to him?" they stand there looking at their toes; after a while, they start leaving without even saying sorry. How rude of them
27. >Once they're all gone I get weak on the knees, and fall in a kneeling position to the ground
28. >"Yellow, are you okay?" Norman asks as he holds my arm
29. >"Of course I am" I smile "I could finally help you in the way you have helped me"
30. >"Thank you so much Yellow, you really are like an angel from heaven" Norman's amazed
31. >"Fluttershy, I can't believe you stood up against such a crowd" Rarity says as she approaches us
32. >"Well, that's something I learnt from Norman" I say with pride "he'd risk everything, even his life to get us out of trouble. I couldn't do less to help him"
33. >Norman kneels down and gives me a hug "thanks for being such a goood friend" he says during the embrace
34. >A warm feeling fills my heart
35.
36. Being Norman
37.
38. >I'm moved, Yellow confronted her fears just to save me
39. >The shy little girl just went against a crowd, yet I'm here unable to confess my feelings to the Aryan Beauty. It's time to be a man for once
40. >I stand up and say "Rarity, I lo-"
41. >A tug on my sleeve stops me on my tracks
42. >Yellow graved my arm and stood up
43. >"I love you Norman" both of us blush
44. >Why just right when I was about to make my move on The Aryan Beauty. Now I can't tell her that she's my love, not right now at least
45. >The Aryan Beauty just stands there speechless but with an expectant look
46. >"Yellow, I'm so-" I try to say that I'm already in love with someone, but I'm interrupted by her words. She's being really assertive today
47. >"I know that you don't like me in that way, but just give me time and you'll feel for me in the same way I do for you"
48. >I don't know what to say, this is the first time a girl has confessed to me. Let alone a girl saying that she'll make me love her
49. >Who knows, maybe I could have fallen for her if I hadn't met The Aryan Beauty; but that's no reason enough to ignore my own feelings
50. >Even though I don't want to break her heart, I must be sincere, or else I could leave her with a greater wound in her spirit
51. >"Listen Yellow, I-" My speech is stopped again but now The Aryan Beauty is the one to interrupt me
52.
53. Being Rarity
54.
55. >I though I was prepared for the day I saw a girl confess her love for Norman. It was just a matter of time
56. >But I had never expected that girl would be Fluttershy
57. >If it had been any other girl, I would have rivaled her for his love
58. >But she's my best friend and this is the first time I see her willing to fight for something she desires
59. >Also, I had promised my self I would support her love; so, I'm sorry Rarity but this time you're letting him go for your best friend
60. >"Wow, this is the most romantic confession I've ever seen" I say while trying to force a smile "who would have thought that our Norman would get one of the prettiest and kindest girls in the school. I guess I should better leave the lovebirds alone. See you later" I make my exit as quick as I can, making sure it looks like a leisure walk
61. >Good luck Fluttershy, I hope you tryumph where I failed, go and get his heart
62.
63. Being Norman
64.
65. >I stand agape
66. >The Aryan Beauty just left, I knew I had no chance since the begining
67. >Well, at least it seems she's still willing to be my friend which is more than what I had when she started avoiding me so it's not that bad. Right?
68. >A single tear forms in my eyes
69. >At least Yellow loves me
70. >Wait, I can't accept her feelings like this, I'd end up breaking her heart
71. >"Yellow, listen to me." I say "the truth is there's already someone in my heart"
72. >She looks down and says "I'm very sorry Norman, I already know you like Rarity"
73. >Then why did you confess to me with her right here? I can't ask her that right now can I
74. >"But I just had to tell you now" it's as if she could read my mind "If I hadn't told you right now, I know I would've never been able to do it"
75. >"I understand that feeling" that was how I felt right before you confessed
76. >She speaks again "Don't worry about me though, we can still be friends if you don't like me in that way"
77. >"Yes, that would be better, if I were to go out with you as I am right now. I would have broken your heart because, as you know, I'm in love with Aryan. I really don't want to hurt you in any way. You are one of my dearest friends after all"
78. >"I understand your feelings, thank you for caring for me this much" she looks happy for a person who was just friendzoned
79. >Now the question is if I'll ever be able to get the Aryan Beauty's love. Because she blessed Yellow's love for me, I guess she'll never love me
80. >Even so, I couldn't bring myself to give hopes to Yellow, I would never let her suffer under a false love just because I lost all my chances with my love
81. >No person should be subjected to that kind of lie. Much less her, one of the kindest beings in this world
82. >"So, do you feel like playing videogames today?" she asks
83. >"I'm always in the mood for some gaming"
84.
85. Being Fluttershy
86.
87. >Norman really is a caring friend, to think that the reason he can't accept my love is because he doesn't want to break my heart
88. >Now I want to be loved by him even more
89. >We spend the rest of the day playing videogames at his home
90. >At that moment we didn't know that this would be our last chance to spend an afternoon playing in a month
91. >On the next day Pinkie and Norman's parents are sentenced to a month of work at Sweet Apple Acres by Applejack; Norman had to do his parents' part of the sentence
92. >Of course I'll be there to help them too
93. >Uuuh, since when does Applejack have the authority to make people work at her farm as punishment?
94. >Anyways, I'm using this chance to spend time with him
95.
96. Being Norman
97.
98. >A week has passed since Yellow confessed to me
99. >She has been helping me with the farm work way more than Pink, even though she's not supposed to be there
100. >"Yellow, you don't need to come here every day, it's our sentence after all" It worries me that she could injure herself here, she's not very strong afterall
101. >"I don't come here because I need to, I do because I want to" she answers "I like spending time with you... my friends"
102. >"Let her do as she wants" Pink says "the more the merrier and she's easing our jobs"
103. >"Our jobs huh" I raise an eyebrow "you may be right after all, without her here you wouldn't complete even a half of your work"
104. >"Right!" she smiles, then she frowns "hey Normy, now you're just being mean"
105. >Yellow giggles
106. >This conversation has practically become our daily routine. I've been happier than ever since I started working with the girls
107. >I'd love it if these days could last for ever
108.
109. >Once the work day is over, Pink, Yellow and me walk together to our homes
110. >After a bit of chat and walk we get to Pink's house, we say our good byes and continue our way
111. >On our trip to Yellow's home we walk by a park
112. >There we see the Aryan Beauty walking with Green?
113. >"Yellow, hide" She immediatelly obeys I hide with her inside a bush
114. >My love and that guy stand away from us, but at a short enough distance to let us catch a glimpse of their conversation
115. >"
Now you must say you
love
her
" says The Aryan Beauty
116. >"
Colgate
I love you more than anything, from the bottom of my heart" that green gremlin, I'm gonna beat his ass so hard
117. >"Wonderful" My beauty says.
118. >No! If she loves him back I can't beat him up.
119. >"Thank you so much for this
rehearsal
date, I'll remember every detail of it. See you later!"
120. >"
Good luck on your date tomorrow
" she waves her arm as the Green guy goes away
121. >"It's over, she's in love with someone, now I haven't got a chance to ask her out" my hands cover my face
122. >"You could go out with me if you want, you already know I love you" she pats my back
123. >"No Yellow, you know I can't go out with you. I still have feelings for the Aryan Beauty" I regain my composture just to make this clear "If we were to become a couple with me still having feelings for someone else, I would, eventually, end up breaking your heart"
124. >I did something amazing, I got Yellow angry
125. >"I've had enough with you Norman. Why do you think I'm just a delicate little flower, I'll let you know that I was bullied during my whole childhood and a little heart break won't bring me down"
126. >I got a bit angry too "Why don't you stop it. You're important to me and really want you to be loved as you deserve"
127. >"When I told you that I love you I was ready to get my heart broken from the get go; and you know what, I don't care if you don't love me or if you hurt me, I only want to be with you and to receive from you a smile like the ones you gave to Rarity"
128. >Why's she so stubborn "Listen here and listen good. I can't have a false relationship with you because I love you"
129. >"Wait, what did I just say?" I look at Yellow and she's blushing and I can feel my face has turned red too
130. >I love her? that can't be true. I start remembering every moment since I met her, the shy girl who cheered me up at that party, the one that despite her fears tried to clear my name on her own just with the help of a megaphone, the one who fighting her own tears danced with me in front of a crowd, she was the one who made the greatest sacrifices just to help me, how come I didn't notice until now
131. >How come I didn't notice that my wish to protect her came from the love I feel for her
132. >After a while of introspection I finally say something
133. >"uuhm Yellow, how about we continue this conversation tomorrow?" our faces are still as red as they were a moment ago when I spilled the beans
134. >"I think that'd be all right" she looks away from my eyes a little ashamed
135. >"Let me walk you to your home" I say with a smile
136. >"I'd be glad to" she answers in delight
137. >As we walk to her place I take her hand without realizing
138. >So we make our way to her home while holding hands, it really is a special experience; I feel at home as I go by her side. I'd like to prolong this sensation forever
139. >But that isn't an option, we're soon in front of Yellow's place
140. >"See you tomorrow Yellow"
141. >"See you Norman"
142. >Once she closes the door, I run all the way home and straight into my room
143. >How could I say that, it can't be true; But each time I think of her I see it more, I've already fallen for her but I hadn't realized
144. >But how could I, I'm already in love with The Aryan Beauty, that was a bad move heart. Well, it's not as if I'm going to two time on them, The Aryan Beauty is already going out with Green
145. >I don't want to go out with Yellow just because I lost my hopes with Aryan
146. >I know, why not having a date with Yellow? with that I could confirm my feelings for her, or she could discover that she doesn't love me that much. In any case, a date is the perfect solution for this situation
147. >After a sleepless night of meditation and planning, I was ready to ask my special friend for a date
148. >When I get to school, instead of the usual insults, I find out people is not paying attention to me. What a relief
149. >"Wow, it's like she's another person" people from the crowd comment about a girl "I didn't know she was that beautiful" "She must have gotten the D"
150. >From the mob of students, a slutty girl comes out and tells me "It seems you really know how to please a woman, call me if you're feeling lonely" she hands me a piece of paper
151. >"Okay?" I answer as cold sweat forms in my back
152. >The hell happened here?
153. >Then I see her, standing upright with a confident smile and new clothes. The atmosfere around her is competely different
154. >"Hi Yellow!" I wave my hand at her "How are you today?"
155. >The crowd yells "Fluttershy and Norman kissing on a tree!" Are we in an elementary school?
156. >"Oh Norman," when she looks at me, the world around us disappears "I'm better than ever, thank you. How are you?" I could get used to this feeling
157. >"I'm fine now. I was wondering, Would you like to join me for dinner? as a date I mean"
158. >"I'd be glad to" she answers. Her voice despite being almost inaudible is the only sound I can differenciate from the crowd's cheering ovation
159. >The day then ends in a flash
160. >Yellow doesn't go to SAA to prepare for the date, I work extra hard to finish work early for the same reason
161. >"So, You're going on a date with Fluttershy," says Orange "after all that boohoohoo Rarity doesn't love me Ah'll just stay home"
162. >"Yup"
163. >"Is this a pity date? because I wouldn't break her heart if Ah were you. Unless ya want me to beat you up" she says while cracking her knucles
164. >"Don't worry, I don't want to break her heart, this date is our chance to see if we like each other enough to become a couple"
165. >"Yer treadin' on thin ice, better be careful"
166. >"I will Orange, I don't want you to beat me up once again"
167. >"Well then good luck on yer date" Orange smiles while slapping my back. I bet she thinks it's just a light pat; my lungs would say otherwise
168. >"*cough* see you Orange *wheze*"
169. >I go back home and get ready for my date
170. >Once ready, I make my way to Yellow's place
171. >She was waiting for me, just outside of her door, even though I was 15 minutes earlier
172. >The scene I witnessed was something out of a fairy tale. Yellow was surrounded by a troupe of dancing animals
173. >From the look of it, it seems they were making some final arrangements to her appearance and the badass hare looked as if it was counseling her about how to tackle our date
174. >The thing lasts until the cool rabbit waves its arm to greet me. I swear that thing is too intelligent to be just a rodent
175. >"Quickly, hide!" Says a startled Yellow
176. >In a matter of seconds all the animals disappear
177. >"I'm sorry that a gallant gentleman such as yourself had to witness such an uncouth scene" she says while covering her face
178. >What? is she trying to sound like...? nah, that can't be true
179. >"Would you join me for dinner?" I bow to her and offer her my arm
180. >"Most gladly my lordling" She answers
181. >"Okay?" that really sounded really strange
182. >We walk to the fancy restaurant where I had that date with Brad. The memory of it horrifies me but the place itself was not bad at all
183. >This time I came dressed up for the occassion though, Yellow also did
184. >She looked as pretty as ever, but there was something weird in her, maybe it was the curls in her hair or the light blue eye shadow; it's almost as if she was trying to look like. Norman stop obsessing about her, it's rude. You're in a date with Yellow right now
185. >We walked locking arms
186. >"Isn't the weather lovely tonight?" I say trying to strike a conversation
187. >"Oh yes darkling" She's making me feel as if I was talking to Brad "a lovely night indeed"
188. >Our conversation continues during our walk, she keeps calling me different names as we talk. I wonder if calling her Yellow is annoying to her
189. >When we arrive at the restaurant, we are sent to the table I booked. Table for 2 besides a window, quite far away from the door
190. >When the waiter comes to take our orders, I ask for a vegetarian dish, because miss animal lover may get annoyed if I ate any kind of meat
191. >"I'd like some grilled fish" says Yellow, to my surprise
192. >"Don't you love animals?" I ask in disbelief
193. >"Ooh, I do love animals, but me ingnoring my vital needs isn't going to bring the lives back to the animals in this restaurant; also, I think that the best way to honor their remains is to let them form part of our bodies" Wow, it seems Yellow is turning back to normal, I like it when she's talkative too
194. >"I mean" she puts some kind of fake brittish accent "we must eat all kinds of foods, marlin" I swear Yellow, stop calling me so many names
195. >Our conversation continues with no important issues, except for her calling me many names; dumpling, darning, carving, daring. I guess I should stop calling her Yellow
196. >After a while, she started to act even more weirdly, she looked restless as she tried to maintain conversation
197. >"Yellow, what's wrong?" I ask worried
198. >"This uncouth place has a lot of less than fancy creatures running around, darwin" She points under the table, what I see is a family of mice
199. >I obviously wouldn't remain silent at the sight "Waiter" I call him
200. >"No," Yellow says "they'll kill the mice if they discover them, please help me save them"
201. >The look in her eyes shows me the real Yellow is speaking and not the deranged persona she has been trying to be today
202. >I can't deny her request despite how crazy it sounds "what do we do?" I ask
203. >"Did you call sir?" the waiter has arrived to my table
204. >The rodents look at me trying to win my compassion while Yellow shakes her head asking me to not tell the waiter about the infestation
205. >I'm left with just one option
206. >"Check please"
207. >"Immediately sir" the waiter goes away
208. >"So, what do we do to save your friends?" I asked Yellow
209. >"Normally, I'd just hide them under my dress, but I can't today" she says "this dress is not mine"
210. >"Okay," I can't believe I'm gonna say this "tell the mice to get into my clothes"
211. >"Ooh, you don't know how much I love you for this" she says in glee
212. >She then tells the mice to do as I said. I don't know how she does it
213. >Once the waiter comes with the bill, I pay and get out of the restaurant as fast as I can. Mice make my skin itch
214. >I'm never going back to that filthy restaurant again
215. >Once we were far enough from the place of our date, Yellow told the mice to stop riding me. They obeyed immediately except for one which went up to my face and I swear it gave me kiss on the cheek
216. >The mice were now free to roam around the town
217. >"Wow Yellow, to go through all that problem just to save a bunch of mice. You really have a kind spirit"
218. >Before I finish that sentence, she jumps into my arms giving me a warm hug
219. >"Thank you, thank you, thank you" she says, but then she releases the embrace and takes some distance before clearing her throat and saying "I mean, you're such a gallant hero darling"
220. >"Yellow, are you imitating Aryan?" her face reddens as I confront her
221. >"No, I mean, that's imposs-" she stares at her toes and says "yes"
222. >She then tells me about how she asked Aryan for tips for a date, the white girl gave her advice regarding how tho walk and act in a fancy place and lent her a dress, the part of imitating Aryan's style was Yellow's idea though
223. >"I just wanted you to like me as you like her" she says
224. >"My date today was with you, and let me tell you something. What I enjoyed the most is when you were yourself" I smile and she does so too
225. >But her smile doesn't last long
226. >"You know, Rarity's date yesterday" she struggles a bit with herself before saying "was not an actual date"
227. >"What?"
228. >"She went out with Scott to tell him about how to behave in a date"
229. >"Why are you telling me this?"
230. >"Because I couldn't bring myself to hide the truth from you, specially when you still have a chance with her"
231. >"Yel- no, Fluttershy, remember I told you that I love you? I realized that I really do; even more now that I saw you help those creatures"
232. >"But that was you"
233. >"No, you made me help them. That's what I like the most from you, your kindness to everyone and everything" I finally understood it myself
234. >The rest of our date is just an awkward silence. We walk locking arms, I use my free arm to take the hand that rests on my forearm
235. >Despite the lack of words, I feel a peace that can't be compared to anything I've felt before
236. >As we go she rests her head over my shoulder and I let mine do so over hers
237. >Once we get to her door she finally says something
238. >"Norman, you know? someone told me that a good date ends with a
kiss
" she blushes
239. >"Sorry I didn't hear you"
240. >"A kiss" I hear her this time
241. >I blush "I'm sorry, could you say that again?" I'm a horrible person, but teasing her is so cute, now I understand my parents
242. >She raises her voice a little "A GOOD DATE ENDS WITH A KISS!" She blushes even more and covers her mouth with her hand
243. >"Well then, let's make it a good date" I move towards her to give her a kiss
244. >"No, wait I'm not ready" she pulls her head back and uses her arms to create distance between us
245. >"I'm ready now" she moves towards me and curls her lips, she looks a bit funny but still cute
246. >I move towards her once again "Oh no, not yet, give me a bit of time" she takes her distance once again
247. >The cycle repeats at least three more times
248. >"Yellow! Angel hare is fighting with your bear over there" I point behind her
249. >"Mr. Beary Big watch out!" she says as she turns around to see. She's worried about the bear?
250. >"There's nothing over there, you big meanie" she says as she turns her head back into my direction
251. >She wasn't expecting me to give her a little peck on her rosy lips after her movement
252. >"Hahahaha, I stole a kiss from you" I say as she gives me some sort of flustered and annoyed smile
253. >"No! stealing is bad, give it back to me this instant" now she gives me a peck. Her sudden outburst of assertiveness leaves me shocked for a second
254. >"Can we do it now as we should have done first?" she goes back to her normal self
255. >"It'd be a pleasure" we kiss for real this time
256.
257. >The kiss that marked our good bye that day, was the first of many we would share in the years to come
258. >Aryan and the girls was proud of us being sincere with our feelings and becoming a couple. She was the first one to give us her blessing
259. >Yellow became a bit more assertive, In her words "seeing you confront all odds to help me gave me the courage to stand up for my self"
260. >In my case, when the school saw the shyest girl protecting me, they stopped teasing me that much; they still call me a racist though, but they don't go over the top as they used to
261. >Overall, my life has improved. All because of a little bunny
