bear facts

Polar bears:
- Thickest fur of all bears
- Live to 25 in the wild
- Hair isn't white. They're all clear, hollow tubes
- Give off almost no heat
- 70 percent of babies don't live to 3
- May be just as smart as some apes

Grizzlys:
- Have a muscular hump on their backs
- Can be up to 8 feet tall standing on their back feet
- Male grizzlys are typically solitary animals who enjoy being on their own.
- Cubs are better at climbing trees; it's harder once they grow up more and grow claws
- Have perfect eyesight and a sense of smell better than a hound dog's.
- Live up to 30 years in the wild

Pandas:
- Only about 1000 of them survive in the wild
- Pandas are shy and don't venture where people are
- Have enlarged wrist bones that act like thumbs
- Have to eat 28 lbs of bamboo a day to be satisfied
- Panda moms usually only care for one cub at a time and will leave the other to die
- Usually around 4 to 5 feet tall
- Dislike being around other pandas and have a heightened sense of smell just so they can tell where others are and avoid them.
