» background: Tuyen was born to a Japanese mother and a Vietnamese father. She grew up as an only child. When she was three years old, the family moved to Japan after her maternal grandmother became very ill. Unfortunately, wherever Tuyen went, she was looked down upon for being a "half", and as a result, had a hard time making friends. She wasn't extremely clever, but found that she had a natural talent for music. She learnt how to play the piano, and her dad taught her the guitar from a young age. She ended up making more friends over the internet, who introduced her to the rising hallyu wave of Korean pop culture. She was fascinated by it all, especially the hip hop side. She ended up sending in a video of her own acappella rap (in Chinese) to LOEN Enternainment, not expecting to get in, but she was asked to go to S.Korea to have another audition. After some discussion with her parents, they got her a Korean tutor and allowed her to go for a second audition. She was accepted, and despite her struggles with the language, she quickly became known amongst the trainees for being witty, humorous and having great stage presence.

» personality: Tuyen is very outgoing, and quite loud when she wants to be. She doesn't really have a verbal filter, and tends to say whatever pops into her head. She's naturally very witty, and nothing makes her happier than making someone else laugh. She's quite sarcastic, and sometimes gets into trouble for being disrespectful, but she usually doesn't mean it. She's very supportive of her members, and also fellow groups. She's always cheering people on from the sidelines, and gets crazy excited over their successes. She's known for being "everywhere", invited to all kinds of shows because of her good nature, humour and easy-going personality. She isn't afraid to make a fool of herself, and is willing to try new things on camera, even if they go wrong.
