  1. #0:01:25.0# K: You have bad eyes
  2. #0:01:26.4# I: Shut up!
  3. #0:01:29.3# K: It's because you're...like, it's because you have a heterocromia. What is it?
  4. #0:01:31.9# I: Yeah! One eye is badder. Really, this real tough though. I have one eye that's far sighted and one eye that's near sighted.
  5. #0:01:39.9# I: Yeah! It's inbalanced! Yeah~ JUST LIKE THE LORE!!!
  6. #0:01:47.0# K: Really!? Your lore tells you that you're half blind?
  7. #0:01:51.0# I: Nooo~ No, No, No! That's not what it means! Uhm. It's just, ugh. You know, One eye is pink and one eye is blue and who [inaudible]
  8. #0:01:58.8# K: Ah you have a pink eye, you should go get that checked!
  9. #0:02:02.1# K: Hey, I see the little sign someone's doing. Do you see them? The brockon
  10. #0:02:09.4# I: Lockon sign, I think I saw it. It looks like a shotgun.
  11. #0:02:14.0# K: Peace! I see that.
  12. #0:02:19.4# I: Pink eye.
  13. #0:02:21.2# AUDIENCE LAUGHTER
  14. #0:02:22.4# K: You're still hung up about that!?
  15. #0:02:23.7# (together): LAUGHTER
  16. #0:02:27.2# I: I mean I've actually had pink eye and it was horrible!
  17. #0:03:05.0# I [hyping to the audience]: Are you guys drinking maple syrup!?
  18. #0:03:11.4# K: Stop giving the wrong impression of Canada [You could have streamed it if you wanted to give the right impression. I have no fucking clue what's going on here]!
  19. #0:03:18.5# K: We ride polar bears too!
  20. #0:03:21.8# Presenter: [establishing house rules: don't be a dick, be Canadian]
  21. #0:04:00.4# Presenter: [bad joke about Cortana here. Kronii leans into it to try to save face. Monopoly is apparently okay though]
  22. #0:05:16.0# K: So how much do you know about Canada IRyS? (asides from Maple Syrup)
  23. #0:05:21.2# I: Ugh, polar bears! Ugh, uhm, maple leaves and bagged milk.
  24. #0:06:22.2# I [jealous of the fucking leaf Kroniis?]: Is there anyone holding a full body IRyS out there? Oh no? Shame on you!
  25. #0:06:34.5# I: It's okay I'm too perfect.
  26. #0:07:02.0# I: HiRyS! It's IRyS! I am from Project English HOPE. I hope you guys are doing great.
  27. #0:08:02.2# K: There's going to be a quiz at the end of this.
  28. #0:08:13.3# I: Okay. Let's start with Japan is Nippon or Naypon. Did you guys know that the first Kanji in 日本 (Nippon) means ひ (hi) which also means sun in Japanese and the second Kanji ほん (hon) means origin so にっぽん (Nippon) means "land of the rising sun". Speaking of the Sun~ the summer in Japan is superhot here in Tokyo it's like 34°C I think highest temperature today. I don't know if that's just as hot as Canada [probably], if not maybe even hotter but I think today is actually much more mellow compared to usual so yeah, very hot and I think the feels like temperature that the iPhone tells you is like 40° and very humid. Get yourself a serving of shaved ice and cold rammen which is actually a thing in Japan!
  29. #0:09:19.5# K: I have a question? The Kanji for "sun" is ひ (hi) right, so why is it not called ひっぽん (hippon)?
  30. #0:09:31.3# I: Good question! Uhm. I guess it just didn't sound that cool! Or maybe wait, I know there's like two different ways to read kanji there's like Kunyomi and the Onyomi. I'm not really a big expert on this myself so ひ (hi) can also sometimes be read as に (ni) in certain cases and what not and I guess they just thought ひっぽん (hippon) just sounded off! I'm sorry if there's actually a real reason.
  31. #0:10:08.9# K: It's okay! Just Google it! It's fine. Speaking of food…
  32. #0:10:15.0# I: In Japan~! [talking about sushi and rammen and tempora and yakitori] [they're just listing food at this point. Yum!]
  33. #0:12:00.7# I [to the audience]: Fun facts about Japan. Are you guys ready? These are handpicked of course! First fun fact, slurping with noodles in Japan is considered good manners so if you go to a rammen place you go *slurp* *slurp* *slurp* [you'll have to use your imagination here]. I don't know if that's how it's supposed to sound I don't have noodles to slurp on right now so- that sounded weird.
  34. #0:12:22.9# K: Ugh, that's very concerning! I think you should go to the hospital.
  35. #0:12:27.0# I: Okay. And, uhm, yes, there are more pets than children in Japan. [inaudible] everyone loves their pets. There are a shitaki amount of vending machines in Japan, even though they've cut back there's still about 23 vending machines for every person in Japan but I think it was worse a few years back. Vending machines in Japan are very cool. You don't have to pay with cash you can just use your train pass card to go *beep*. Yes, and there are cafes where you can cuddle bunnies, dogs, owls and a lot of other cute animals.
  36. #0:13:23.8# K: How about a human?
  37. #0:13:26.2# I: Human cafe?
  38. #0:13:27.3# K: Yeah, a human cuddle cafe!
  39. #0:13:30.9# I: Are you into that?
  40. #0:13:31.6# K: No, what! I just thought because humans are animals!
  41. #0:13:38.8# I: Yeah, there are maid cafes!
  42. #0:13:41.1# K: NEXT! Next, fun fact!
  43. #0:13:45.9# I: Kyoto used to be the capital of Japan, something I didn't really know until recently. I was like "Oh, really!" when I was reading this. "Oh, wow!". AND, the best Gibli movie ever, Spirited Away was both the first anime to be nominated for an Oscar and the first one to win it. Yes, it is the best. For anyone who says any other Studio Gibli anime is better then they can be punched by me!
  44. #0:14:42.9# I: The last one in this slide. Naruto's favourite rammen shop is a real place. I've never been there but I heard it's good.
  45. #0:15:22.9# I: More fun facts about Japan; Japan is made up of about 7,000 islands! That's a lot! One of the islands Okinoshima island is best known for it's population of PEKO rabbits!
  46. #0:16:01.9# I: Yeah, and ready to hump-
  47. #0:16:13.2# I: Another fun fact about Japan is that it's well known for having many festivals. One of the festivals that stands out is the hadaka matsuri, does anyone know what hadaka means?
  48. #0:16:31.2# K: Like, ugh? Take it off?
  49. #0:16:34.7# I: Close!
  50. #0:16:38.2# K: Take clothes off and fight, festival? I don't know!
  51. #0:16:40.9# I: YES! hadaka means exactly that. Hadaka is a festival where thousands of men strip almost naked wearing only a fudoshi which is something a lot of sumo wrestlers wear and SOCKS! It's actually a very sweaty festival. It's usually around February so very cold but since there's thousands of, you know, sweaty men crowded over, basically they're fighting for good luck for the year, there will be sticks thrown into the crowd, whoever grabs them is called the lucky man of the year. There are different variations of this festival too.
  52. [Canada facts with Kronii now. There's not much, so I'll skip over this. Interesting debate about Pineapple Pizza though]
  53. #0:21:31.6# K: [awkward pause]: Uhm, next slide! [Kronii is not a fan of Pineapple Pizza]
  54. [Hockey and Lacross now]
  55. #0:22:14.0# I: How do you get balls into that thing?
  56. #0:22:17.2# K: Ugh. You get it in. You just-
  57. [QUIZ time now]
  58. [picture guessing thing]
  59. #0:26:55.4# I: Ohh~ I'm sure you anime otaku's out there should know this (including you Kronii). What is the longest running anime in Japan?
  60. [Kronii gueses wrong and has to do a batsu]
  61. #0:29:52.7# K: [she has to talk in a cowboy accent]
  62. [IRyS turn now: Question about potato chips?]
  63. [she guesses wrong too. to be fair, I don't know shit about Canadian potato chips either]
  64. #0:32:01.9# I: [cowboy accent for IRyS now, too. it's bad]
  65. #0:35:32.9# I [tsundeRyS]: It's not like I like your big clock or anything Kronii.
  66. #0:35:54.7# K: Well it's not like I like your little horns or anything
  67. #0:35:58.9# I: Who told you to act like a tsundere Kronii? This is my thing. Well it's not like I want to continue doing this or anything!
  68. #0:37:57.5# I: Does anyone want to be a sacrifice for the Queen IRyS [I wish I were a leaf]?
  69. [a lucky Kronii gets to confess to her that she is their oshi. Good on him.]
  70. #0:42:14.6# I: Which city in Japan is known as the "Kitchen in Japan"?
  71. #0:45:05.2# I: [IRyS mistaking a girl for a dude]
  72. #0:54:20.6# I: This one should be an easy one. What is the name of the traditional Japanese sword with a slight curve?
