  1. The process of forging was a complicated one.
  2.
  3. Often underestimated by all magi, and yet it is something that could either make or break the situation all around them- the power that could become unrivalled with the correct equipment, or..
  4.
  5. One's potential never realized.
  6.
  7. As such, Ambrose makes his approach to such with evident passion; his creations had to be done well, with certain tinge of perfection to them- for it could not be afforded to be inferior. Even then..
  8.
  9. Already Sebastian could see the various materials fetched; in particular, the blade itself, the spear, the smoke-stained blade and the mana spark slug. There would be..
  10.
  11. A lot of work for Ambrose cut out.
  12.
  13. "Hm.."
  14.
  15. "I'll be needing some of your help, Sebastian."
  16.
  17. Naturally, given that it's his weapon to be, it's only fair- while the forges are already accelerating, and burning bright with the mana that is infused withinthem, there's clearly something else to it all.
  18.
  19. Something that he would no doubt notice in the coming moments.
  20.
  21. "Here's what I planned.."
  22.
  23. "The blade you brought seems parasitic in nature - so I will enhance it even further with the shards of the smoke-tinted blade, and then.."
  24.
  25. "I will remove the spearhead from the spear - make it into double-edged blade that can retract with a simple runework mechanism."
  26.
  27. "It seems to include Tyrium as well, so anything you cut will have its mana taken by the blade - then transferred to the spearhead. And then.."
  28.
  29. "It will transfer that mana with runework to mana spark instead, to feed into explosive force."
  30.
  31. While the Prince explains his part, it seems that there was already the first task for Sebastian- he points a digit to the one of the forges, or rather, the runic inscriptions upon them.
  32.
  33. "Feed your mana into it."
  34.
  35. "The forges must run hot."
  36. (Ambrose Roche)
  37.
  38. It was finally time to get a blade worth his strength, and Ambrose would be the creator of such a blade, it was only fitting.
  39.
  40. Sebastian could help but notice the new weapon strapped to the mans back it seems he was fast at work, it was given a quirked brow as he made his way to the forge.
  41.
  42. A parasitic blade how fitting for a vampire, it wouldn't be anything close to rajaks own relic blade, but he could make it be once he has a few more heads on his belt and a few more legends to tell his tale.
  43.
  44. It wouldn't be the last time they would work on the blade...
  45.
  46. "I see, the original design I had sketched out was a sheng-based blade.. " He explained but Ambrose had a perfect idea already on what to do with the materials brought to him.
  47.
  48. "Very well I understand what must be done."
  49.
  50. His hand rose to touch upon the runic inscription forge, a moment would pass before his own mana attuned to fire would light his veins into flames as he transfers his mana over to the forge....
  51.
  52. He opened his mouth while the forge roars from the overcharge of mana.
  53.
  54. "Kusanagi..." He said
  55.
  56. "It's of sheng make.. so i will give it a respectful name...at least they will know I appreciate their craft."
  57.
  58.
  59. (Sebastian Falkenrath)
  60.
  61. Such work would be delicate, precise.
  62.
  63. A testament to such found in the way that he would need to ensure that every single detail fits appropriately- for as much as the forges run hot, already he could see the parasitic blade beginning to heat up within the forge- but not to destroy it..
  64.
  65. Only to make it malleable, up to a change.
  66.
  67. The mana infusion behind such flames only proving to be a proper, fitting source of ensuring that it would be possible to change, and yet already he could see Ambrose take upon the blacksmith's tools.
  68.
  69. A hammer- much smaller that one could imagine. It seems to be fitting for detailed work.
  70.
  71. "Oh, worry not."
  72.
  73. "It will be of Shengese design - I was merely voicing the matters of functionality." With that said..
  74.
  75. The parasitic blade is steadily adjusted, with Ambrose hammering away enough space for the smoke-stained blade to have enough place to fit in; with the smoke-stained blade itself carefully passed into the forge, any imperfections would simply melt away, leaving only one desirable part.
  76.
  77. The blade shards.
  78.
  79. For the rest simply seems beyond repair, and no longer usable. Little by little, the shards are already beginning to fit around the blade itself- as if similar to the casing, like one would wrap it around the blade to further enhance it.
  80.
  81. Such an appearance made in a slightly curved fashion, similar to a katana. Though..
  82.
  83. "That's a good name."
  84.
  85. "Also, while you're here, begin by separating the spearhead from the spear." He points at the spear - the Icarus. There, a shadowy hand stretches out, if only to inscribe the runic pattern..
  86.
  87. One which drained the magical potency into the spearhead,
  88. to ensure that nothing is lost in the body itself.
  89.
  90. It seems that the Collective actively aids Ambrose even now, acting as the means of having more than two hands at once.
  91.
  92. "Place the spear inside the furnace, heat it up, then use tongs to separate the body from the spearhead."
  93.
  94. It's simple enough - especially given that Sebastian is directly told what to do.
  95. (Ambrose Roche)
  96.
  97. It wasn't an easy objective, the spear was tightly pressed onto its pole and as he began to remove it he found himself being cut, with his own hand he heated the blade and its connected parts, once it was to its melting limit.
  98.
  99. He removed the spearhead from its pole, and did as he asked putting the spearhead into the furnace... He wanted to keep it hot, so that when Ambrose needed it, he could use it for what he wanted.
  100.
  101. Although he did ignore the tongs part, there was no such thing as burning this man. Not without a potent type of fire...
  102.
  103. "This blade has a chance of being something of Renown if I should die.. I will trust that you will get it, and give it to the next fledging that fight under our name.."
  104.
  105. He asked - it was small talk for the work they were starting.
  106. (Sebastian Falkenrath)
  107.
  108. A complicated process that required a lot of detailed work.
  109.
  110. Now with the smoke-stained blade secured all around the parasitic blade in appropriate manner, he could not help but feel as if they're missing something- the fact that it would have to be attuned to Sebastian, of course, but..
  111.
  112. They would get to that point yet. Though, as for his death?
  113.
  114. "Nonsense."
  115.
  116. "I'm certain that this blade would serve you well - and in fact, it may yet save your life in the coming years."
  117.
  118. After all, equipment often mattered a lot in the fights between magi- a testament to such found in the manner of combat, where one wrong step could prove to be their downfall. Nonetheless..
  119.
  120. With the removed spearhead, while the sword itself was still malleable, it is steadily attached to the pommel; what follows next is the complicated process of runework, one that would not only ensure that it stays on appropriately, but also to make sure that it could be hidden within- retracting into a somewhat girthy site, all to make sure that it could serve as a double-edged blade.
  121.
  122. Yet.. conceal the tyrium-based storage for the mana itself.
  123.
  124. "Now.."
  125.
  126. A shadowy hand stretches out; while Ambrose begins to lay the network of runes all across the sword, to make sure that not only the sword's blade itself would be connected to the tyrium-based pommel with the second blade hidden within, he remarks.
  127.
  128. "Continue the flow of mana."
  129.
  130. "I will see you connected to this blade." So that it responds well to him, of course.
  131.
  132. Should he allow it, the shadowy hand would aid Ambrose in the appropriate inscription, linking it to the fiery nature of Sebastian's magics.
  133.
  134. A thorough process.
  135. (Ambrose Roche)
  136.
  137. "Very well."
  138.
  139. Sebastian would close his eyes, and continue to flow his own mana through the runework that Ambrose had laid out for him, the focus of this mana would be that of when he was once human, tainted with what he was now.
  140.
  141.
  142. Although potent most of the network of his own magic now came from the well of cain, and thus it appears to be red in nature instead of that fiery orange it usually was.
  143.
  144. "Should it be done by the time we attack, we shall see."
  145.
  146. He said in re-assurance of his own words before. "I see you had made a weapon for your self."
  147.
  148. He wondered if he used the crystal. "Did you use the crystal we traded, I can feel something coming from it."
  149.
  150. Although his eyes were still close as he focused, still more small talk - in fact this was probably the most words he actually exchanged with Ambrose before.
  151.
  152.
  153. It was more of mutual trust before, now it's more of common goals, perhaps even friendship now.
  154. (Sebastian Falkenrath)
  155.
  156. Soon, they would be nearing the very end of the creation of this weapon.
  157.
  158. A testament to the skill that Ambrose has acquired as an artificer, a blade that could become a truly terrifying force in its own right- even then, while this careful mana attunement is done through the rune network that has been established by Roche..
  159.
  160. There's some words spared inbetween.
  161.
  162. "Of course."
  163.
  164. "I think it should be done by then, but if there are delays, it's likely the fact that runes take longer to settle in." Something that's entirely out of his control, unfortunately.
  165.
  166. "But, mm.."
  167.
  168. "Yes. I created my own weapon with the blackstone that you provided me. It's quite powerful." So much so that Ambrose was clearly satisfied with the results it brought.
  169.
  170. "Thank you for that."
  171.
  172. Yet his gaze focuses upon the blade once more. Nearing the end, the mana spark slug that held within impossible forces of the explosions and fire slowly becoming attached to the base of the blade; it is wired through runework to the tyrium basis of the blade, an indication of one thing..
  173.
  174. The strikes would feed the tyrium sapping pommel - which in return feeds the mana spark plug.
  175.
  176. "Now.."
  177.
  178. "Only one thing left. Can you try channeling just the tiniest bit of fiery mana into the plug?"
  179.
  180. Provided all that he's done..
  181.
  182. That should rev up the blade - and make it ready to strike with tremendous force.
  183. (Ambrose Roche)
  184.
  185. "That thing?"
  186.
  187. To say that he was hesitant on that part would be a understatement, besides the showing that Ambrose did when he first introduced him to the plug, he had not touched the thing at all.
  188.
  189. Completely afraid of physical and complete combustion...
  190.
  191.
  192. There was almost something known as fear? That passed his body, maybe it wasn't for himself but the building they were in....
  193.
  194. A single steady finger would move to touch the plug... and the smallest amount of mana would be transferred.
  195.
  196.
  197. His hand retracted quickly away from it, waiting to see what would happen, while it consumed his firey mana.
  198. (Sebastian Falkenrath)
  199.
  200. A small nod follows to such.
  201.
  202. "Yes."
  203.
  204. It's understandable why Sebastian would be anxious, but Ambrose required this to make sure that the stabilizing process has been done properly- where he touches upon it, however, and fuels the mana into it briefly..
  205.
  206. Already he could see..
  207. The blade shudder and move,
  208. almost jumping up.
  209.
  210. Revving up with impossibly large force within, it was containing such without release- what sounds like a sound of distant combustion was heard, but soon enough it settles. By all means, it seems that the runework was already good enough, but..
  211.
  212. Ambrose quietly hums- the shadowy hands extending forth once again, if only to fix and adjust some runic calculations, to ensure that any force would be directed outward - towards the blade of the sword, and thus directed for further cuts.
  213.
  214. Though, such investment takes a lot of his mana - ensuring that the runes would stay permanent, and that they would remain effective in their own right.
  215.
  216. "...There."
  217.
  218. He quietly remarks, followed with a brief huff. It has been an exhausting, even arduous process of forging, but now..
  219.
  220. They're finished.
  221.
  222. "It's done."
  223.
  224. "Now the blade needs to settle in with the runework - once it's ready, I'll let you know."
  225.
  226. "Otherwise, give it a bit of time."
  227.
  228. Though, more than likely..
  229.
  230. It will be soon.
  231. (Ambrose Roche)
