  1. Day 19: Zen Blossoms
  2. As I reached the foot of the mountain, the pathway continued into what seemed like a cave. Seeing no other way to make progress forward, I followed the path into the cave, ready to delve into the unknown.
  3.
  4. The cave was dark and bleak, but I still tried my best to keep moving forward, doing as much as I could to not walk into anything, shuffling my feet so I didn't trip over something.
  5.
  6. It was good that I was being cautious, since I felt my foot hit the edge of a pond or lake or something. I could barely make out the shapes of lily pads and flowers floating on the surface, but I could tell there was a sizable body of water out there with stuff on it.
  7.
  8. I didn't have many ideas when it came to crossing this thing, as anything I did would more than likely make me fall into the drink below, and I don't think getting wet is ideal when I'm around a really cold mountain, so I decided to just sit there for a little bit.
  9. Not much later, though, a very large lily pad started drifting toward the edge I was at, as if it was ready to pick me up.
  10.
  11. I tapped my foot on the top of it, making sure it wouldn't completely collapse under my weight, and when it showed no resistance, I started to climb on board. Do people normally pass through the mountain like this?
  12.
  13. I plopped myself down, sitting cross-legged on the lily pad as it slowly trudged across the pond. I looked around, seeing the faint silhouettes of flowers of some sort. I couldn't tell what colors they were, but they were definitely fairly dark.
  14. After about five minutes or so, I noticed a faint glowing light coming from the bottom of the pond, the flowers growing bigger in response to this change. The light grew brighter and brighter, soon illuminating the entire pond with a soft green glow.
  15.
  16. It was about then when I could see just how massive the pond was; I felt like I was in a completely different planet, with vegetation sprinkled all over the water's surface. The flower blossoms gently opened up as much as they could, spinning slowly with the currents in the water.
  17.
  18. It was yet another situation where I couldn't do much, so I just sat there, taking in all of the sights. Before I knew it, I had started floating upwards, away from the pond and towards the top of the emptiness.
