Samael Teraphim

Personality: Arrogant, stubborn, driven, charismatic, and intelligent all congeal to make a powerful force within the youthful Kingdom. However, these traits often lead the Teraphim to being a bit of an outsider beyond the Teraphim community itself. Making him insular and anti-non-teraphim.

Background: Samael is a son of those Teraphim who rose as the downtrodden to come to the aid of a savior. Those two Teraphim where known as Tetra and Hera. Both were nothing more than hired farmhands who spent their days serving to grow the food needed to feed Moonfall. They watched daily as the druids enslaved by the Witch's shed the blood of the innocent to keep the corrupted lands bountiful.

Then came Aschea, the duo watched the battle as it raged like a thunderstorm within the vale. Cowering within the furrows of the field they worked for their masters. It was only as they watched that beautiful figure start to fade, the light dimming that they were filled with a great outrage at their lot in life. Rising up with a defiant roar the two charged the witch's with farming equipment. A desperate act of heroism to toss off the darkness that had enshrouded them their entire lives.

They fought and they suffered, amid the battlefield they were cast down. Hera crawled across that mayhem to lie intertwined with Tetra. Wishing for their last moments in this life to be together. Their ragged breath's slowly growing weaker and weaker, their spirits seeming to mingle together within the splintered realm of the material and the immaterial.

That's when Aschea gave her last gift, the primordial's light cast out one last time across the vale. As it washed over the lovers their souls mingled in that moment and the crystalline hearts grew. They stood together reborn anew as the first generation of the Teraphim. Hand in hand they lashed out with newly awoken magic against the forces of darkness.

It was years later when the coupled had their first child. Delayed by their active efforts in pushing back against the veil of darkness which hung over the land. That child was young Samael whose birth lead to both of the parent's pulling away from public life. They took the child and returned to a small plot of land within the veil. Overgrown with weeds and still pitted and scarred from the great battle between the Elysium Coven and Aschea.

The small farmland of their birth and were they'd spent their lives. It was here that they took to raising their first born. Samael's earliest memories would be of seeing his mother and father, hand in hand, working to cleanse the land of it's scars and return to it; its bounty. There was nothing but equality between the two as they lived.

Those early days would instill something that stayed with Samael, respect for patience and hard work to change things. It was in those early years that the couple explained the history and gifts that Aschea gave to them. As he turned ten his parents returned to active life within the Kingdom. He joined fully into society at that point joining the teachings of other elders and undergoing the next six years in preparation for his chance to serve as one of the Greycloaks.

He spent the next two years earning a name as one of the more far-reaching Greycloaks. Traveling far and wide within the Kingdom to ensure that the scale's remained in balance.
