Feast upon Jenci

The large insectoid demon was wandering around the lands, seeking for yet another prey for its jaws- considering that its favorite ambush spot was visited less and less, Murmux realized quickly that it had to move out in order to keep hunting.

Otherwise, there'd be no more prey for it.

Besides, this was a good chance to practice its manipulation over the bugs that it commanded- the swarm has moved out from under its chitin, various predatory insects, flying ones, spiders, you name it. And they all seemed to be influenced by Occult - larger than typical species, far more aggressive, and with glowing marks on them.

"Hhhhhhhh--"

"You will make- a fine meal."

Before the Neries could possibly negotiate with the demon, or even say anything, already he was attacked. The swarm was launched forward, manipulated by the Demon through the Occult and telepathy alike.

It was time for him to defend himself.

The Neries blinked, caught off guard by the sudden accumulation of several instances within such a short period of time in such short intervals. With a quick leap out of the way of head demon, he would barely evade the assaulting at the cost of his left prosthetic hand being slashed into by its razoring winds.

Fucking-...!

Jenci looked up at the demons, squinting with a hateful glare in his eyes as he reached for his staff.

No matter how much the Neries tried to defend himself, against such agile Kaor, it was almost pointless to even try.

Constantly being attacked by the Occultic-influenced insects, along with being shredded by the winds and poison, there was no chance for the Neries to win. It was not only a feeding session for the Demon, but also a good practice in its art of controlling the insects- considering that it was a large insectoid on its own, that much was only befitting that it used this sort of magic.

Once the Neries was overwhelmed, he was tackled down by countless bugs, all of them injecting their venom in his bloodstream; and while at it, the Kaor came close, feeding on his mana through injection of proboscis into his chest.

For Jenci, everything was going dark, his hearing deafened, his sight growing dim, and his head feeling numb and dizzy; the venom was spreading through his bloodstream too fast, and with that, he was sunk in darkness, one that'd force him into coma like state.

The bugs were commanded through telepathic link. Not to mention, the Kaor imposed its dominance over lesser creatures with the Occultic presence, and they brought back the tiny bits of mana they had withdrawn from the Neries.

Quite a fate, for someone who constantly saps the mana from the world - to be drained, instead.

"Hrm- this should be- enough. I- we are- leaving."

The insects were commanded to crawl back underneath the Kaor's chitin, and Jenci was left on the ground, numb and filled with poison in his body.

To a common man, this would be lethal dose. For a magi, however... he'd wake up, eventually- just feeling sick and weak.
