- The best python course for me? Any learning paths? Help would be nice.
- Introduction:
- Hello! I’m Dhilipan from India. I’m studying 8th grade and want to understand python (I’m 13). A kind of fast learner. I wanted to learn more about python. So, I looked at courses. He is my experience level and questions.
- Courses I looked at:
- • Introduction to Computer Science and Python by MITx (6.00.1x)
- • Python Basics for Data Science
- • CS50's Introduction to Programming with Python
- Advantages of mine:
- • My companion training system, My companion who encourages me to be better, is my sister. She is in 12th grade studying computer science (she is 17). She has a lot more wisdom about python than me. I should at least be close to getting her knowledge.
- • My IQ, I have a brain is that pretty capable of understanding these materials. My IQ is around 130. That doesn’t mean my brain is remarkable by ANY means, it just means I have a healthy fluid memory and thinking skills.
- • Time. I have a lot of time for the next 20 days, As I’m on summer holidays.
- Prior experiences:
- When I was 7, I learned how to do HTML. I remember my dad teaching me it and I got the basics down in just a few days/months. I wanted to continue with my HTML by learning CSS, but I found a horrible tutorial and my 7-year-old brain thought that CSS was extremely complex when it wasn’t and I quit CSS and HTML. (Now I forget most of HTML)
- I know some basics of python. My basic skill level in python is that can make a basic calculator program using some basic if and print statements. I don’t know that much about loops and algorithms.
- Questions:
- • What is the best free course for me?
- • What will be my upgrade path?
- • How much time do you think that I’ll finish a python course?
- • Any suggestions?
- • Anything that may help me?
- Thanks for reading all this!
